Mass Activation

• Mass Activation is a process that allows teachers to activate students during the first few days or weeks of school.  This process will automatically update any entry dates for the campus, courses and special programs. Any students that are still inactive at the end of this process will be considered ‘No Shows’ and will no longer appear in your class list.

Mass Activation

• While Mass Activation is open, you will notice a few differences on the Post/View Attendance page.

1. The Last day for mass activation will display above the grid and may be different for each track (campus calendar).

2. Rather than having the option to mark students Absent, Tardy or Present, the teacher will simply Activate any student that is present in the classroom. 

3. An indicator will display next to each student to show which track they are on.

• All students will be assumed Inactive at the start of school.

• To activate a student, select the radio button for Active       next to each student that is present in the classroom.

• Enter your PIN and click Post.

• The page will redisplay and any students marked Active will display as Present      .  All inactive students will display as Inactive     .

• Any errors will display as shown in the example and the student will not be activated.

• Active students may then be marked as Absent, Tardy or Present  for subsequent periods and days.

• Inactive students may continue to be activated       as long as Mass Activation is still open.

• Any exceptions and/or corrections should be reported to the campus attendance clerk.
