In addition, this newsystem maintains the compact dimensions and lighter weight that is unequalledin the multifunction industry.

Years of product development, industry experience and feedback fromVMAC customers culminated in the design of the RAPTAIR-MF. Created specif-ically for the mobile market, the system delivers a 45CFM and up to 175 PSI andwas designed to address concerns about noise, fuel consumption and emissionswhile providing the ultimate in job site versatility. Utilizing VMACs state-of-the-art Intelligent Digital Controls, the 100% duty cycle RAPTAIR-MF air compressorturns itself on and off in response to air tool demand, contributing signicantly toreduced idling and fuel costs as well as a greener environmental prole while still

Flexibility

Thechosenrackingtechnologymustbeexible.TheNorthAmericanmarkethasmanydierentclimates.The Southwest US can be dry and arid with low windspeedswhilethemid-connenthasveryhighsnowand wind loads. Installers shouldstayawayfromrudimentarysystemswhereaniniallowpricepointisosetbyincreasedlabordemandsandcosts.Attheotherendofthespectrumthere

aresystemsthatareover-engineeredformostsites.The perfect system for most installers is able to adaptacross a wide variety of ecosystems, substrates androof materials, as the case demands.

Ease of installation

Besidesexibility,awelldesignedsolarPVrackingsystemwillhavebeendesignedwitheaseofinstal -laoninmind.Thesesystemsaresimpletoinstall.Click,orsnapon,technologyspeedstheinstallaonprocess and decreases labor costs. They will featurepre-assembled universal module clamps. Universalmoduleclampscanbeusedacrossdierentmodulesandprojects(Figure2).Thisdecreasesinventory,accounngandlogisccomplexity.Integratedgroundinganddurablecablemanagementoponsshouldalsobeprovided.Ulmately,thechosenrackingtechnologyshouldbesimpleandhasslefreefortheinstallertolearnandinstallwhilemaintainingonsiteexibilityandlongevity.

It is important to ensure theengineeringservicesprovidedbytherackingmanufacturerwillbeme -lyandsucienttogetthesystemapprovedforinstallaon.TechnicalsupportincludingWetStamps,draw-ings,andspanchartsshouldbeeasilyavailablewhenunexpectedquesonsarise(Figure3).Amanufacturershould be able to supply wet stampsfor most states where there is an ac-vesolarmarket.Forlargeoroutofthe ordinary projects, a manufacturershouldhaveanonstaProfessional
