2017: A new additional priority item : AMR
• Antimicrobial resistance is a major concern, requiring alignment from the dairy sector on communication, to explain aspects currently not properly conveyed.
• An IDF Task Force is set among experts from SCRCC (Residues and Chemical Contaminants), SCAMAC (Analytical Methods for Additives and Contaminants), SCAHW (Animal Health and Welfare) and SCMH (Microbiological Hygiene) to collect information on the facts, the situation, the initiatives, the achievements and apparent misconceptions from the perspective of the dairy sector and to make a clear communication to the outside world, in response to the FAO request for more information.
