Fauna es el resultado de una vertiente innovadora, inclusiva y audaz, donde los tradicionales ritmos latinos y sonidos futuristas, generaron un híbrido explosivo, así como controversial, dado el contexto y la época.

Corría Octubre del 2003. Catar_sys y Color Kit, dos productores y cantantes de la provincia de Mendoza,inspirados por la necesidad de algo nuevo y los sintetizadores que sonaban en “Sábado Tropical “,abandonan la senda del “drum & bass” para abrir esta nueva pequeña puerta, que con el pasar de los años, se convirtió en un inmenso portal de artistas e ideas, a nivel mundial.Tras 5 años de shows locales, algunas visitas a la ciudad de la furia (Personal Fest, Bs. As, 2007) y un generoso numero de fans conquistados, en el 2008 editan su primer LP "LA MANITA DE FAUNA” editado por ZZK Records.De forma equidistante, comienza la exposición a mayor escala, las giras mundiales y la participación en Festivales de altísimo reconocimiento, como ser:

Con un nuevo disco en proceso y terminando la gira Latinoamérica 2010, el proyecto pierde a uno de sus 2 pilares. Federico Rodriguez A.K.A. Catar_sys, abandona el plano terrenal generando así, muchísima tristeza y confusión para con el futuro de la agrupación.Gracias al apoyo incondicional de colegas y amigos como Mariano del Águila, Andrés Oddone y Frikstailers,Color Kit decide continuar con el proyecto, y terminar la misión que se había comenzado.De esta forma, se edita en el 2011 el segundo LP de fauna, “MANSHINES” con las voces originales y participaciones de artistas como Daleduro, El Remolón, Chancha vía Circuito, Villa Diamante. Editado por ZZK Records. Para la etapa de presentación del disco, Federico Calderón (Un Mono Azul) se encargo de asistir a Cristian del Negro (Color Kit) como dj y corista en los shows y giras durante el 2011.Con un 2012 prometedor, y con el panorama un poco más claro, se suman a principio de año las F.L.O.W. altas wachas family. una crew de 3 bailarinas (Estefi Spark, Mailen Cisneros y Lauren Pringle), que aportaron sensualidad, actitud y fuerza al proyecto, acompañando y equilibrando la escena con Color kit, quien ya veníahaciendo shows como única voz en Fauna.Y para concluir esta importante transformación, a fines del 2012, ingresa a la cancha Arturo Gueglio A.K.A. ZAI,como compañero vocal de Color Kit, trayendo un poco de instrumentación viva en los shows, arreglos melódicos en las voces y generando un nuevo dúo renovado y recargado.

Con nuevo disco en camino, de la mano de Flying Monkey Records, Fauna enciende los motores y anticipa una panzada de sonidos nuevos, proyectados a la escena del global ghetto music, con participaciones de artistas como Tropikore, El Remolón, El Chavez y Andrés Oddone en la Producción. With a new project in progress and closing the last leg of their LatAm tour started in 2010, the ensemble loses one of its pillars with the passing away of founding member Federico Rodriguez a.k.a.. Catar_sys, thus generating a lot if sadness and confusion regarding the future of it all.Thanks to the unconditional support of colleagues and friends such as Mariano del Águila, Andrés Oddone and Frikstailers, Color kit decides to carry on with the project fulfilling the started mission, therefore, Fauna´s Second LP”MANSHINES” gets released in 2011, with the original vocals and the addition of other guest artists such as Daleduro, El Remolón, Chancha vía Circuito, Villa Diamante. In the ZZK Records label. For the record presentation stage , Federico Calderón (Un Mono Azul) was in charge of assisting Cristian del Negro (Color Kit) as a dj and backup Singer in shows and touring during 2011. With a promising 2012 and a clearer perspective on the horizon, by the beginning of the year, the F.L.O.W. ALTAS WACHAS FAMILY jumped on board,consisting of a crew of three female dancers (Estefi Spark, Mailen Cisneros and Lauren Pringle), they contributed sensuality, attitude and strength to the Project joining and balancing the stage scene with Color kit, who in turn was left as the only Fauna vocalist. And to conclude. this important trasformation by the end of 2012, a new player goes in the field, Arturo Gueglio a.k.a. Zai, as a vocal partner to Color kit and bringing in a bit of live instrumentation to the shows, and melodic vocal arrangements. thus, generating a renewed and reloaded duet.

With a new record on the rise, from the hand of Flying Monkey Records, Fauna ignites the engines and anticipates an avalanche of new sounds, projected to the global scene of ghetto music with guest stars as Tropikore, El Remolón, El Chavez and Andrés Oddone in Production. FAUNA 2013. IN YOUR FACE!
