About SimpleText and TeachText

As part of the updating process, the Updater program installed a word-processing application called SimpleText on your hard disk. SimpleText issimilar to TeachText, which was installed with the Chinese Language Kitsoftware. However, SimpleText is WorldScript-savvy (which means you canuse it with your system script as well as Simplified and Traditional Chinese)and offers more powerful word-processing features than TeachText.

The instructions in the Simplified Chinese Input Method Guide and theTraditional Chinese Input Method Guide mention the TeachText application. If you prefer, you can use SimpleText instead of TeachText when followingthese instructions.

About the Keyboard menu

Illustrations of the Keyboard menu in the manuals that came with the ChineseLanguage Kit show a limited choice of keyboard languages. When you use theChinese Language Kit with System 7.5, you may choose additional languagesin the Keyboard menu.
