Writing Tutor, Writing Center January 2012 –July 2016 • Conducted over 400 tutorial sessions with undergraduate and graduate students

from various disciplines with 99% of sessions being rated as “Excellent” or “Good” • Served on the Writing Center’s Strategic Planning Committee in the Winter of 2016

to institute a new organizational mission and organizational goals • Worked with SVSU faculty on several pedagogy-related projects, including teaching

writing to non-native English speakers and developing effective writing assignments • Engaged in professional development workshops addressing student need, best

practices in peer tutoring, and the development of university writing centers • Established the Writing Center’s mentor-tutor program as one the first mentor tutors,

co-training new tutors and researching best practices in mentorship in the workplace • Presented evidence-based research at 5 state, regional, and national conferences • Co-authored a successful Student Research and Creativity Institute Mini-Grant,

awarded in October 2013, and authored a successful Graduate Travel Grant, awarded in October 2015
