Who is Shia ?The true follower of

Perhaps... one may think that the Shia ofAhlul Bayt (a) is someone who is born in ashia family, or someone who participates inthe azadari of Imam Husain (a) someonewho only claims to love Prophet (s) and His

Ahlul Bayt (a)... but has nothing to do withobedience to the teachings of Islam

forbearers, the knowledgeable of Godand His religion, actively followingHim and His orders, guided by His

love, appear weak because of worship,seekers of seclusion for theirpiousness, of pale complexion because

of their night prayers

weeping, their lips are dry because ofremembrance of God, their stomachsare sunken because of eating in

moderation, their faces revealGodliness, and simplicity is apparentfrom their appearance, they are guiding

lights in every darkness

: Imam al-Baqir (a): No one is ourshia except by the fear of Godand His obedience, and they arenot recognized except by their

humbleness, reverence,trustworthiness, and abundanceof remembrance of God.

those who are pious and men of solidopinion, they are loyal andtrustworthy, they are men of piety

and worship, they pray fifty onerakats prayers during day andnight

paying poor-rate) they perform Hajjof Kaaba, they abstain from all thatwhich is forbidden.

truth, their food is limited to gainingstrength, their dress is simple.

fortress, their chests are trustworthy,they are men of prudence and self-control, they are not extravagant, theyare neither oppressors nor ostentatious,they are devoted worshippers in nightand brave like lion in day.

of) stomach and sexual desires, andintense is his struggle...and his action isfor his creator, and his hope is for

divine reward and he is afraid of hisend so if you see someone like that,then that is the shia of Jafar (Imam

Imam al-Sadiq (a) : He is not from our

shias who denies four things:Mairaj(heavenly ascension of Prophet (s)),

and questioning in grave, and creationof heaven and hell and shafaat(intercession).

Imam al-Sadiq (a): Verily our shias are

known for their following attributes: Bytheir generosity towards their brethrenand by their praying of fifty one rakatsof prayers during night and day.

to be a shia of Ahlul Bayt (a)

It demands a lot of continuous struggleand hardship in the way of God to become

a true follower of Ahlul Bayt (a)...

That is why the Prophet of God (s) hassaid

Prophet of God (s): O Alimy friendhere Gabriel has informed me fromGod, the magnificent that certainly He

has blessed your lovers and your shiawith seven attributes

familiarity in the lonelinessandlight in the darkness (of grave) andpeace in the fear (of the day of

judgment) and justice when thedeeds will be judged and crossingof the (bridge) sirat

And entry in the paradise eightyyears before all other human beings.
