Scope of work:
Design, develop, construct, manage, regulate, and operations in Phase 3 forTwenty (20) Years
Manage leachate generated by theexisting landfill (Phase 2 and Phase 1)
Extending the life of existing landfills inPhase 1 until 30th June 2013

• PLBT obtained the Notification Approval fromDOE for constructing and operating the LeachateTreatment Plant on 29 October 2013 with severalconditions.
• Currently still in T & C Process and will comply allthe DOE Regulation and Standard for effluentdischarge, when the system is fully operate.
• PLBT will officially notify the DOE and otherrelevant agencies when the LTP is fully operationwith capacity 200m3/day.

• Daily in-situ testing was carry out every hour to make sure the treatmentprocess in a good condition
• Daily sampling and testing for important parameter as COD, AmmoniacalNitrogen and Colour at Internal Lab (PLBT)

• Leachate treated – 50 to 100 m3/day depend onquality of the raw leachate.
• Refer to the agreement, LTP must treat leachate200m3/day.
• The consultant still working to maximize thecapacity of the treatment process.
• The existing plant will be modify to fulfill theagreement.
• Planning of the modification will start on May2015 and will be fully operated with maximumcapacity 200m3/day end of this year.

• From result analysis up to Feb. 2015(Accreditation Lab), there are no pollution fromlandfill to other external water source at JPScanal, river and sea.
• Our reference to DOE also, there are no directpollution to river or sea from landfill.
• For water quality at Wetland, Leachate Ditch andLeachate Pond, its still under landfill area and willbe treated before discharge to external watersources.
