Reflections on Challenges/ Discoveries
• focus on grouping and making components it makes editing smoother
• offsetting tool became my friend for doors and windows
• taking time to play around with different materials and styles (it
becomes fun quick)
• pre planning sketching on paper before hand (such as with the interior
study)

• finding certain endpoints to snap to makes life easier
• not being sloppy with your work will save a lot of time in the long run
• using perspective tools to see different views of my models
• learning the different ways the rotate tool works and mastering it
• learning the different colors of points/tools/ and lines improves your
work
• writing side notes to remind myself of certain measurements so I don't
have to continue going back and remeasuring
• the pan button is super useful when I get lost in my work

• the arc tool is tricky but is a great tool when making domes and
spheres
• after a while I began to try to orbit websites … SketchUp is now in
my dreams…
