MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY
Raytheon Co., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a sole source contract to deliver an initial
Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) radar as the first radar in the BMDS family of radars.
This effort is in response to the Secretary of Defense direction to begin fielding an initial missile
defense capability. This sole-source contract to Raytheon will provide an initial step for this
direction by procuring a radar that will be available for test in March 2005, and will be
operationally available upon completion of testing. The contract base period of performance is
from April 1, 2003 through March 31, 2006 with a not-to-exceed amount of $350 million. The
estimated total value of the contract with options is $800 million. The Missile Defense Agency is
the contracting activity (HQ0006-03-C-0047).

MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY
Raytheon Co., Woburn, Mass., is being awarded a sole-source indefinite delivery, indefinite
quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for algorithm development and analysis. Under this
contract, Raytheon will provide algorithm development and analysis of radar systems for
ballistic missile defense critical functions. The total effort is estimated at $48,973,884, including
a two-year base period and three one-year options. It is expected to be completed in January2011. The principal place of performance will be Woburn, MA. The award value is
$48,973,884. Research and development funds have been provided for this contract. The

MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY
The Missile Defense Agency is awarding the Raytheon Co., of Woburn, Mass., a cost-plus-award-fee letter contract. This contract is to upgrade the early warning radar at Thule Air Base,
Greenland. The not-to-exceed award value for this effort is $114,073,000. The period of
performance is from April 2006 to September 2010. The principal place of performance will be
at the Raytheon Co. in Woburn, Mass. Work will also be performed at Thule Air Base,
Greenland. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Missile

Raytheon Company, Woburn, Mass., is being awarded a $20,000,000 contract not to exceed
$212,200,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification for the manufacture, delivery, and integration
support of the radar component of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system. Work will
be performed at Woburn, Mass. and is expected to be completed by May 2010. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. FY07 research and development funds of

both fixed-price and cost-plus-award-fee line items. Under this contract modification, Raytheon
will continue concurrent test, training, and operations support unit integration (Phase II) for

Raytheon Co., Integrated Defense Systems, Woburn, Mass., is being awarded a sole-source cost-
plus-award-fee modification with a total value of $12,595,000 under contract HQ0006-03-C-
0047. Under this modification, Raytheon will develop and integrate an X-band simulation tester
which is a radar digital signal injection system that will interface with the X-band family of
radars to provide test and performance assessment capability. The work will be performed in
Woburn, Massachusetts. The performance period is from April 2010 through March 2011.
Fiscal year 2010 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation funds will be used to
incrementally fund this effort in the amount of $6,161,180. The Missile Defense Agency is the

Raytheon Missile Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a cost-plus-incentive-feemodification with a total value of $54,320,048 under contract N00024-07-C-6119. Under this
modification, Raytheon will procure, fabricate, and assemble Standard Missile-3 Block IA spares
common and unique material for the U.S. manufacturing components and Foreign Military Sales
(FMS) manufacturing components. The work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. The
performance period for this work is from May 2010 through March 2011. Research,
development, test, and evaluation funding fiscal 2010 ($15,000,000) and FMS funding fiscal
2010 ($7,905,395) will be used to incrementally fund this effort in the amount of $22,905,395.

technical/schedule performance incentive contract with a total value of $165,288,359 under
contract HQ0276-10-C-0005. Under this contract, Raytheon will perform Preliminary design
review efforts including, but not limited to, engineering services and material for systems
engineering, design and development support, and initial hardware fabrication for the Standard
Missile-3 Block IIA missile. The work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be
completed by March 31, 2011. Research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal 2010
