Keeping Up with the Joneses - October 2015

Dear Family and Friends, If you haven’t seen the movie “War Room” yet I want to encourage you to go and see it. The Kendrick brothers (producers of Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous) have done another masterful work of illustrating biblical and spiritual truth, bringing messages of salvation and victorious Christian living to the big screen. This movie is about the power of prayer to transform lives and defeat the enemy. God is using it in the same way to touch the lives of many who view it. We look forward to showing it as soon as it becomes available on DVD. As AnnaMae and I were preparing to return from our weekend trip to Wisconsin, we received word that Milan George, one of our former Board members who served over 20 years, had gone to be with the Lord. After arriving home on Tuesday, 22 nd , we packed again and left on Friday, 25 th, traveling to Michigan for a memorial service. Two other Board members and wives accompanied us in Tennessee and Michigan, and we were blessed to be at the “Celebration” service together. The family also designated DriveIn for memorial gifts in lieu of flowers. We returned Monday and are glad to be home for a few weeks. October 2125, AnnaMae will join me in traveling to Guatemala. Not only will we be tending to our Mobile Unit and partner relationships, but having our Board meeting at the home of our Board Chairman and his wife, Wilfred & Shirley Johnson, missionaries there. In between then and now, we have several speaking engagements scheduled, the FOCUS to publish, and many other responsibilities that demand attention. Thank you for praying for our office needs. Nelda, our new bookkeeper, is working out very well. We realize how important prayer is when we have crises come, and in a faithbased ministry it seems crises are a regular occurrence We are so thankful to have family and friends interceding for us daily. Thank you for lifting us up in your “war room,” we need it!
