HISTORYKingfisher Airlines was established in 2003. It is owned by

theBengalurubased United Breweries Group.

The airline started commercial operations. in 9 May 2005

with a fleet of four newAirbus A320-200s operating a flightfrom Mumbai to Delhi.

It started its international operations on 3 September 2008by connecting Bengaluru with London.

In may 2009 kingfisher airlines carried more then 1 millionpassengers,giving it the highest market share amongairlines in india.

In DEC 2011 kingfisher airlines had the second largest sharein indias domestic travel market.

NEW DELHI: The government said that State Bank of India (SBI) has notextended any lifeline to the cash-strapped Kingfisher Airlines thisfiscal. "SBI, leader of consortium of lender banks, has informed thatno such lifeline has been extended to KF.

May cancel Kingfisher Airlines licence, says Ajit Singh :

NEW DELHI: India may cancel Kingfisher Airlines' licence if

safety norms and financial viability conditions are not met,aviation minister Ajit Singh told reporters on Tuesday. The

cash-strapped carrier, which is now operating 18 planes, has

failed.

NEW DELHI: The BSE Sensex rose as much as 0.3 per cent early
