How to Be Purposeful, Profitable and Empowered

As A Highly Sensitive Self-‐employed Coach or Entrepreneur

A Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur™ is a person with highly sensitive abilities who has chosen to utilize these special traits within the world of self-‐employment. Most likely, if you are highly sensitive, you have been given the message over time that your traits are not assets but hindrances. Perhaps you heard things growing up like:

�Stop being so sensitive.

�Cry baby!

�What’s wrong with you?

But in truth you are coded to be extremely successful within the world of self-‐employment in what according to Dr. Elaine N. Aron, one of the primary researchers of the high sensitivity personality trait and author of the book Highly Sensitive Persons, refers to as “advisor role” within society. She states, “For aggressive societies to survive they always need that priest – judge – advisor class. Highly sensitive persons tend to fill that advisor role. We are the writers, historians, philosophers, judges, artists, researchers, theologians, therapist, [coaches], teachers, parents, and plain conscientious citizens. What we bring to any of these roles is a tendency to think about all the possible effects of an idea.”

It’s no accident that the coaching industry has exploded over the past five years, offering a litany of business building opportunities aimed at a more “spiritual” practice of integrated business and marketing. Literally, as Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs™, our time has come.


However, as Dr. Aron states, “to perform our role well, we have to feel very good about ourselves. We have to ignore all the messages from the 'Warriors’ that we are not as good as they are. 1. When feeling overwhelmed, stop and ask yourself, “Of all these ideas, thoughts and feelings, running through my head what will serve my business the most right now?”

Your Marketing Is Not Really Working, and as a Result You Don’t Have Enough Ideal Clients

For an HSE™ marketing your business is really about marketing yourself. You can research and implement different marketing tools until you’re exhausted – if the tools aren’t aligned with who you are on an energetic level, some will work, but some will fall flat, producing inconsistent results. Not Enough Ideal Clients Leads to Not Enough Income: Here is Where the Wrong Guidance Can Really Hurt Your Business

Disconnected, inconsistent marketing means an unreliable cash flow, which won’t sustain or grow a business. HSE’s™ with cash flow problems often find themselves making purchases and investment decisions from a place of fear.

An example of this is the HSE™ who knows she needs support to build her business and actively searches for that support from an expert.

Torn between who she can trust, what she can afford, and feeling that this

needs to happen now or my business may not survive can lead to investing in a program or mentor that may not be a complete energetic match. This gap often appears hand-‐in-‐hand with the tendency to take on clients that are not ideal matches. Clients who are not ideal matches create conflicting energy, which the right guidance helps to manage and supports you with taking the appropriate action steps to resolve this type of situation.

Whether you are serving your existing clients or marketing to attract new ones, everything in your business is connected through the energetic undercurrent that you bring to the table. If that undercurrent consists of low level energies of lack, overwhelm, and depletion (non-‐ ideal clients deplete your energy and your cash flow), and you don’t have the right guidance and support in place to help you manage through it, you will remain stuck. When you feel a desire to do or be something you haven't done or been before, you are responding to a divine idea pushing toward manifestation. When you behave As If you can accomplish your desire, you totally believe that it will be fulfilled. Total belief is active belief including both mental acceptance of the idea and positive action upon it. That's it. Such belief springs from and activates faith -‐-‐ the mightiest power of all.

1. Take a few moments of focused time to practice using the Law of As If.

How is the law activated for you now? Are you behaving “as if”: � You don’t have the time? � You don’t have the money? � Something you want will be too much work? � You need to wait for ____________ (the right time, the right client, the right

mentor, etc.)?

2. If any of these ring true for you, meet yourself where you are, without judgment, and set the intention to shift, right now.

� Check in: How do you sense the Law of As If affects your personal energy? � Move: In what way can you activate the Law of As If to achieve a current

business goal?

3. Practice this example – soon your own examples will show themselves and you can practice those too! I choose to behave As If it’s possible for me to make a six-‐figure income in my business.

When you entrust your business to the guidance of a mentor, whether through investing in an information product, group program, or one-‐on-‐one relationship, you must be able to feel, at all times, the complete lack of judgment about you or where your business is. � Seek someone who will hold you accountable to your highest level of personal responsibility. Mentoring without judgment does not mean you are not held accountable. In fact quite the opposite is true. Receiving guidance without judgment means that you get to step into your highest level of personal responsibility. From that place you make inspired, unattached decisions about your business. You are able to manage fear, insecurity, and doubt from a place of compassion, strength and commitment that is free of drama and judgment.

� Work with a mentor who “walks her talk” 100% of the time. This means finding someone who manages her own energy as she coaches you to do the same. This person will never feel threatened by any level of success you achieve because she truly wants the best for you, and because she truly believes in herself and in you 100%. You should have a feeling of complete mutual trust, like there is “something” here that is absent from other programs, products or coaching relationships you’ve experienced in the past. You should feel like you can finally stop searching. This mentor makes the relationship all


about you and your business, without grandstanding or furthering her own personal agenda. This allows you to constantly move forward, taking leaps in your business free from encumbrances that have held you back until now.

� Do not settle for less than a professional who is wildly successful in her own business. Want to reach six figures as soon as possible? Work with someone who has done it and is moving beyond. This mentor should be open enough about the income that she generates through her own business to the point where you immediately say “Yes, I want to do that too!” She should be sufficiently beyond where you are so her experience can provide you with tons of practical shortcuts and insider secrets for managing your own energy.
