Founders Fund is a $220M early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco. Founders Fund is run by entrepreneurs who have started and managed their own companies, and is committed to innovation in venture capital using a non-traditional, founder-focused approach.

The Founders Fund team is comprised of experienced company operators with backgrounds in engineering, product, design, and online marketing from companies like PayPal, Facebook, and Google.

OʼReilly Media spreads the knowledge of innovators through its books, online services, magazines, research, and conferences. Since 1978, OʼReilly has been a chronicler and catalyst of leading-edge development, homing in on the technology trends that really matter and galvanizing their adoption by amplifying “faint signals” from the alpha geeks who are creating the future. An active participant in the technology community, the company has a long history of advocacy, meme-making, and evangelism.

Geeks on A Plane: DC/Europe 2009 Your Hosts

Ignite presentations are built on the following premise: If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only had 20 slides and they rotated automatically every 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together Ignite nights and telling their stories. Ignite was started in Seattle in 2006 by Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis. Since then hundreds of talks have been given to over 10,000 people at 50+ local Ignite cities all over the globe.
