Why Chongqing and Chengdu Strong Economy Growth: Chongqing’s GDP grew by 10.9% in 2014, 3.5% higher than national average. In 2013,

Chengdu's GDP grew 10.2% to RMB910.89 billion, becoming the 2nd largest economy in central and western China.

Foreign Investment: Utilised Foreign Direct Investment in Chongqing is USD4.2 billion in 2014, 2.2% higher than 2013;

while the utilised FDI in Chengdu rose 5.3% year on year to USD8.76 billion in 2013.

“One Belt, One Road”: Chongqing and Chengdu are important pivots for developing Western China. Chongqing in

particular, as the western hub of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, will invest up to RMB1.2 trillion in infrastructure

construction by 2020.

Terms and Conditions

1. Applicant must be 18 years old or above and have a valid passport/travel document.

2. Participation for this Mission is voluntary. In any situations that the applicant is unable to participate in this Mission

as scheduled due to an unsuccessful travel document application, losing his/her passport/travel document or

encountering any other immigration problems regarding his/her visa, the organiser(s) and supporting

organisation(s) shall not be obliged to bear any responsibility or make any refund arrangement.

3 ． Applicant understands that on the occasion of any cancellation or rescheduling of the Mission due to unforeseeable circumstances, participants will be responsible for the cancellation charges and related expenses

incurred.

4. Applicant agrees that the organiser(s) can use a portion of the information submitted for administration, marketing,

promotional, business-matching, research and statistical purposes. Information may also be shared with third

parties in connection with the operation of this Mission or with any other person(s) interested.
