2.1 DISTRICT SUPERITEDENT’S REPORT (TLALEHO EA MOOKAMELI

Members of the District Council, Local Church Delegates, Visitors, Ladies and Gentlemen!

I feel much honored to have this important opportunity to present to you my report as District

superintendent on the 15th ASF District Assembly. I thank the Lord Almighty for walking with

us throughout this year. In the book of Luke 9:62 the bible says, “No one puts his hand to the

plow and looks back is not fit for the service in the kingdom of God”. In this year 2016/2017

we have to put our hands on the plow and not look back we know what happened to Lot's wife

for looking back when she was taken out of Sodom.

Let me thank the DAB for their great work of leading in our district, leaders of NYI, NMI and

SSDM and the committees they are working with. Our theme this year is, “PUT YOUR HAND

ON THE PLOW AND DO NOT LOOK BACK''.

Successes on Church Growth

We are part of VISION 2020 and by God's grace started a church at Ha Thetsane which a church

in a city as we were encouraged to start churches in cities so that our church may have influence

on influential people in our communities. And this is very important for church growth as cities

grow and countries develop and be modernized, that’s where many people reside. We also

started a church in Maaloseng in Butha-Buthe. We also have restructured the church in

Mafeteng, where our late Pastor Mosebi was ministering. We started a new preaching point at

Tsikoane.

We appreciate the work that is done by the Hord's family; they are helping us with the children

ministries. This ministry is growing very fast. We have children clubs going on at Tsieng every

Wednesday where we have over 100 children attending and Ha Thetsane every Thursday where

we have over 40 children. So we are hoping to start this ministry all over our churches and the

country at large. We would like to train our church members on personal evangelism ‘each one

win one''.

Goals in progress

There is a plan to start a church in Mapoteng where we have a convert, who heard the gospel

through our radio program so she is attending in Maputsoe, but it’s far for her so she asked us to

go and plant a church at her home, they have a boarding school at her home for three High

schools. Again we have pastor Motseare who is finishing his studies at NTC this year so in

January he will start a church around the city.

Special Thanks

We have received help from Nazarene Compassionate Ministries and that was of great help in

our district, we thank the church of the Nazarene at large. Specifically I would like to thank the

committee that was working to distribute the food parcels they did a wonderful job. We had a

great revival where the women from Limpopo Northwest came to help us on women ministry.

We thank the Lord for such women in the Lord so in this regard I would like to thank their

District Superintendent Frank Mahlaba.

It would be a great mistake not to thank my wife, my daughters and my son for supporting me.

Lastly we say thanks to our leader Rev Maluleka and his wife, thanks to everyone who is

supporting the work of God in this district, merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.

The District Advisory Board met to discuss the budget and the conclusion was that the budget

should not be changed.

2.2.1 BUDGET

From the Totals Raised for all purposes the following percentages are recommended.

District Budget 10.5%

Home Mission Budget 2%

Educational Budget 3%

General Budget 5.5%

The Local Church 79%

2.2.2 DISTRICT AUXILIAR

The Sunday School Ministers and NYI pay 60% of the total raised from Sunday school

and NYI offerings.

Each Member pays R5 for District NMI Budget. Payable in 31st March.

2.2.3 DISTRICT CENTRE SPECIAL AND DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

District Assembly Fund R45 per member payable in June.

2.2.4 PASTORS’ SALARIES

The committee further recommended the minimum Pastor’s salary not be less than

M1000 per month.

2.2.5 PAYMENT OF BUDGET

Payment of the budget should be made quarterly.

2.5.6 OTHER CONSIDERED MATTERS

The Committee that will be responsible for organizing district events will work hand in

hand with NMI.

2.9 DISTRICT AUDITING COMMITTEE REPORT

Lebese, Pastors, Heads of District departments, Members of the district advisory Board,

Members of the District Council, Local Church Delegates, Visitors, Ladies and Gentlemen!

On behalf of the District Auditing Committee, I would like to thank DAB, Ntate Fusi Leketla for

taking care of the District books. The responsibility of the audit committee is to check the

truthful and fairness of the District books. I therefore confirm that the closing balance of R57

085.14 in books corresponds with the bank statement balance. The balance at each end of the

month was completed and the reconciliation of District Books with the bank statements was

performed at the end of each month.

Once again, I would like to thank everyone who participated in making this work a success, we
