CECO FUEL CONTROL, MAIN COVER ASSEMBLY-REPLACEACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONSzPART I: Dissassemble Fuel Control and Replace Superseded Parts:

A. Disassemble the fuel control in accordance with the overhaul manual(Appendix Al).B. Replace the following parts in addition to those designated for 100%replacement:

Old P/N Nomenclature New P/N98246 Cover and Sleeve Assy 10050698249 Valve and Sleeve Assy 100516C. One of the seven AN503-lo-12 Machine Screws (attaching cover andsleeve assembly) may be reused at a different location if service-able. Six AN503-10-12 Screws and two AN503-10-20 Screws areused to install new P/N 10506 Cover Assembly to control body.

NOTE: Even though replacement P/N 100516 Valve and SleeveAssembly uses the same P/N 98248 Valve as replacedP/N 98249 Valve and Sleeve Assembly, the assemblymust be replaced since these parts are manufactured inmatched sets.PART II: Reassemble and Reidentify Fuel Control.

A. Reassemble in accordance with the overhaul manual (Appendix Al)except as follows:NOTE: Reassembly of P/N 100516 Valve and Sleeve Assemblywith P/N 98251 Diaphragm and Retainer Assembly usingP/N 94921 Clevis Pm reidentifies the Complete SpeedSet Valve Assembly as P/N 100517.1. Use three different size packings (15) on adjusting sleeve (14).Use P/N 78109-009 in largest diameter groove, P/N 71809-008 in middle groove and P/N 71809-007 in smallest diametergroove (nearest threads on sleeve). (Refer to Appendix Alpsra 2-52, step 11 and figure 2-6).

2. Use a total of six P/N AN503-10-12 Screws (11) and twoP/N AN503-10-20 Screws (9) to attach main cover assembly$lzj (Refer to Appendix Al, para 2-54, step 7 and figure- .B. After reassembly, calibrate the fuel control as directed in theoverhaul manual (Appendix Al).C. After calibration, reidentify the fuel control. Mark the identi-fication plate using l/8-inch high number and letter punches asfollows:
