SECTOR INTRODUCTION

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam, commonly known as Vietnam, is located in Southeast Asia. The country's history has been shaped by its location between China and India. The Dong-son built dikes and canals to control the rivers and irrigate their rice fields, and crafted bronze drums, tools, and weapons. Aroung 200 BC , a Chinese military commander demanded that the people in Vietnam join China. At that time, Vietnam was called Nam Viet—Nam meaning "south" and Viet referring to the people living along China's southern border. Vietnam has between 70 and 80 million people, making it one of the most populous countries in the world. Most Vietnamese live in the Red and Mekong River deltas. The Vietnamese language has been influenced by Chinese more than any other language. Chinese was the language used by government officials, scholars, and artists during the thousand years that China ruled Vietnam, but Vietnamese remained the popular language. The most important Vietnamese holiday is Tet (New Year), a celebration that falls in late

January or early February. Tet is celebrated over three days. A special type of Vietnamese women's gown is the ao dai Cambodia is well-known for two things – the temples of Angkor and the Khmer Rouge. The former are an enormous source of pride within Cambodian culture. The ancient Khmer Empire (9th – 15th centuries AD) covered much of modern day Thailand and Vietnam and is seen as the glory-days of Cambodia, and the birthplace of many of the cultures, languages and traditions of the entire region.

DAY 01 – ARRIVAL - SIEM REAP – TONLE SAP LAKE DAY 02 – ANGKOR TEMPLES FULL DAY

Breakfast at hotel, Continue tour to the crowning jewel of Khmer architecture, ANGKOR WAT tEMPLE is the national symbol and the highlight of any visit to Cambodia. The largest, best preserved, and most religiously significant of the Angkor temples, Angkor impresses visitors both by its sheer scale and beautifully proportioned layout, as well as the delicate artistry of its carvings. To approach the temple, first cross the vast moat, continuing along a broad causeway lined with naga balustrades. As you enter the main building, ascend through a series of galleries and courtyard before reaching the central sanctuary, which offers beautiful views back over the causeway and across the surrounding countryside. And then visit TA PROHM TEMPLE, one of the most popular attractions of Angkor as much of the jungle has not been cleared and it looks very much as most of the Angkor monuments would have appeared when European explorers first stumbled across them. Afternoon visit ANGKOR THOM covers an area of 10 square km. Enclosed by a wall and wide moats; the city includes many of Angkor's most popular sights. Enter by the monumental SOUTH GATE over a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. Continue to the TERRACE OF THE ELEPHANTS and the TERRACE OF THE LEPER KINGS, former spaces for public ceremonies, both adorned with dramatic bas reliefs. Visit the ruined BAPHUON, ROYAL ENCLOSURE and PHIMEANAKAS before continuing to the mysterious BAYON TEMPLE. In this temple, one of the most popular and compelling in Angkor, explore the galleries of beautifully preserved bas reliefs and ascend narrow stairs to reach the central sanctuary, where you will find giant stone faces smiling enigmatically down at you from every angle. DAY 03 - SIEM REAP - PHNOMPENH CITY TOUR DAY 04 – PHNOMPENH - TOULSLENG & CHEUNG EK – HOCHIMINH CITY

Morning transfer by road to Phnompenh (apprx.5hrs drive) Afternoon, enjoy Phnompenh city tour, starting to visit The NATIONAL MUSEUM built in 1917-18 is exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts. And then ROYAL PALACE built in 1866 and SILVER PAGODA located within the Royal Palace. Overnight in Phnompenh

After breakfast check-out & proceed to the infamous TOUL SLENG and CHEUNG EK, better known as the Killing Fields, where large numbers of people were killed and buried in mass graves. Afternoon, transfer by road (apprx.5hrs) for Hochiminh city. Arrival at Hochiminh pick up & transfer to hotel Overnight in Hochiminh city


DAY 05 – FULL DAY TOUR TO MEKONG DELTA DAY 06 – CUCHI TUNNEL – HOCHIMINH CITY TOUR

After breakfast drive to My Tho, known as the "bigger rice basket" in Vietnam. Upon arrival Cruising through Mekong River, passing a fishing villages. Visiting some small islets as Turtle, Dragon, Phoenix Island, under a green canopy of water coconut trees. Walking through some villages to a fruit garden. Taste tropical fruits, while having live traditional music. Have honey tea. Short rowing boat ride. On the way back to Hochiminh city, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, an unique pagoda in Vietnam mixture of Vietnamese, Chinese and Cambodian architecture. Overnight in Hochiminh city.

Morning, will drive overland to Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese guerrillas to protect the region against the American attacks during the Vietnam War. You can even crawl a part inside the tunnel, visit their infirmary, kitchen.... to discover how people had survived hereby. Afternoon, visit The Reunification Palace: This is one of the most important buildings in the city; War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war; Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Ben Thanh Market: This bustling market is very popular with tourists, primarily due to its central ocation. It has a wide selection of goods ranging from fake Nike shoes to beautiful silk Ao Dais. Overnight in Hochiminh city.


DAY 07 – HOCHIMINH CITY - HANOI DAY 08 - HANOI – HALONG BAY WITH OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE

Pick up from Noi Bai airport and proceed to Hanoi, on the way stop to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda & Quan Thanh temple. Transfer to hotel for checking in. Lunch at the restaurant. Afternoon, we continue Hanoi city tour to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, His House on Stilt, One Pillar Pagoda, Hoan Kiem lake & Walk in Old quarter. Enjoy Water puppet show. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi

Pick up from your hotel for 3.5 hour driving North East; the bus ride will take you over the Red River and through the country side of our second biggest delta to reach Halong Bay. You would be first dropped off at the harbor of Halong’s embark on cruise, welcome drinks & check in your room. At around 15h00, our boat will anchored for a short tender ride from the middle of the bay to an sland for your visit to famous Sung Sot Cave. The cave visiting will take you about 1 hour (walking inside the limestone cave), then we tender you to visit and swim on Titop Island, which is not far from the cave. Here you can still challenge yourself by climbing up to the top, for a panoramic view, before heading back to swim on its sandy beach. As the sun sets over the bay, we head back to our cruise and relax. Coffee, tea and fruits will be available on the sundeck or you can order your favorite drink from our bar. Dinner would be served.


DAY 09 – HA LONG BAY – HANOI DAY 10 – HANOI - DEPARTURE (B)

You would love to rise a bit early for a breath taking , the stunning vista of the serene bay is always best experience of staying overnight on boat. We serve you light breakfast from 7h00, then we have time to gear up to visit around Luom Bo area (provincial border between Quang Ninh province and Cat Ba National Park of Hai Phong). On the cruising way back, we cruise on a different way so that you can see new areas and viewing islands from a different side.
