Lost thing advertisement

I lost a black backpack around 3pm on December 3, 2014 in the fourth floor reading room of

library. Inside are ID card, student card, bank card and a small amount of cash. If someone

finds that bag, please contact me with 15812345678. Thanks.

Language notes:

①寻物启事 “寻”means “寻找（look for）” and “物”means “物品（objects）”， “启事”

means notice or announcement.

②本人It expresses "this person", which is like a formal way of saying 我. This is especially

common is resumes and cover letters.

③三时 It has the same meaning with “三点（3 o’clock）”, but it is more formal.

④面谢 It literally means thank someone in person.

Language notes:

①失物招领- 失means丢失（lost）,物means物品（objects）,and招领means announce the finding of lost properties.

②若干 It is a formal way to say “some”.

③部 It is a measure word for phone, film/play, opera etc.

④望 Here it means “希望 (to hope, look forward to)”.
