The most inspirational film was “To Kill a Mockingbird” because during its opening scene it gave a puzzling atmosphere. The opening scene gave a very few away, (such as crayons which may suggest childhood), allowing the audience to be hooked into watching the rest of the film.

The opening starts with the title of the film, and then “Universal Pictures 1962”, which is a major movie studio company. A high-angle shot is one of the very few shots used as the opening. The camera moves around following the protagonist, and everything it does – alongside the objects. The camera then introduces the crayon, and follows it around to the colouring book.

The camera shots are in chronological order, and all link with each other. The protagonist reveals the title of the film as it colours in the colouring book. Different objects are shown throughout the opening to symbolize different thoughts and ideas, and they all relate to the protagonist.

The reason this opening scene is very inspirational to ours is because it is shadowy and there are many hidden aspects to the film itself, and this can mean a film’s success.
