Hong Kong College of Technology

Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT) was

established in 1957 as a charitable post secondary

education institution. Formerly known as the Mong Kok

Workers’ Night School, HKCT has actively contributed

itself to the local education development, and today,

as a leader of local non-mainstream education for half a

century, we provide a diversity of professional courses

with full bridging and advancement options in fields

including higher education and further education.

Each year, we provide hundreds of courses for students

and trainees of different age and strata. Other than

providing our own programmes, HKCT is also devoted

to social services and has provided ardent support to

Manpower Development Scheme courses (previously

known as Employee Re-training

courses), and Intensive Employment

Assistance Projects. HKCT has

firm belief in our vision “Driven by

Aspiration Committed to Excellence”,

and is dedicated to developing both

the moral and professional integrity of

our students in the hopes that they will

emerge from our College respectable

social individuals.

香港專業進修學校香港專業進修學校（港專），創辦於1957年，為一所

慈善性質獨立專上教育機構。前身為旺角工人夜校的

港專，在過去53年積極投入香港的教育事業，時至今

日，已成為本港非主流教育的先導者，在高等教育、

延續教育課程各個領域，為學生提供一系列多元化、

多層次和多種晉升階梯的專業課程；每年提供數百項

課程供不同年齡、不同階層的人士報讀。除教育外，

港專亦致力發展社會服務，回饋社會，服務包括人才

發展計劃（前稱僱員再培訓計劃）課程、深入就業援助

計劃等。港專一直貫徹「專業辦學．希望所在」的辦

學理念，致力培養學生的品格、並提高其學術水平，

使其成為社會上可造之才。

校董會主席的話Message of the Chairman,Management Board

過去一年，港專校務獲得卓越的成就。隨著港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園的啟用，同學的學習環境得到全面改善，社會各界對學校的支持更趨廣泛，學校獲得更多對外的合作機會。這一切的成績，得來不易，全憑師生員工上下一心，努力不懈所致。在此本人謹向港專各教職員致以萬分謝意。

香港特區政府一直看重教育，將之列入為六大優勢產業，箇中發展的潛能，不言而喻。教育不但能為本港培育新的經濟動力，更為本地的長遠發展提供龐大的人才儲備。在本年的施政報告中，行政長官提出兩項本港高等教育發展的措施：包括設立25億元的基金支持專上教育發展，以及增加公帑資助第一年學士學位的學額，正好說明當中的重要性。

專上教育作為社會長遠投資及事業，不能單靠市場運作。除社會大眾的努力外，更需要政府的全面配合，包括改善現行的法律框架、調整對辦學機構的質素監管，以確保教育質素的提升和保持彼此之間的良性競爭發展。

一如既往，港專將跟貼社會及經濟發展的脈搏，為有需要人士，積極開拓及策劃更多合適的課程，包括發展學士學位課程。此外，我們亦會不斷改進學校設施及教職員水平，確保教學質素持續提升。在此，我衷心希望政府及社會各界繼續支持我們，讓學校未來發展更上一層樓，讓港專成為學生心目中的理想專上學府。

We have achieved brilliant performance over the past year. With the opening

of the HKCT Jockey Club Ma On Shan Campus, the students’ learning

environment has been highly improved and the College overall development

has been given a big boost, which help us garner an overwhelming patronage

from the society and roll in more collaboration with different counterparts. All

these achievements attributed to the concerted efforts of our teachers, staffs as

well as students. I, on behalf of the College, would like to express my gratitude

for their whole-hearted contributions.

The Hong Kong Government has always paid highly attention to education,

taking it as one of the six industries for its competitive edges. Education not

only serves as the economic powerhouse for our society, but also provides

a reservoir of manpower for the society’s long-term development. In 2010

Policy Address, the Chief Executive has announced two policies regarding

higher education development, which include the set-up of a fund with a total

commitment of HKD 2.5 billion for the development of self-financing post-

secondary education and the increase in the number of seats of the first year

undergraduate programmes at the government-granted tertiary institutions to

provide young people with multiple and flexible study pathways.

Higher education is not market-driven. It is a long-term investment of the

society. Besides public engagements, it also requires the Government’s co-

operations in shaping the current legal framework, enforcing the supervision of

the schools’ quality assurance to uplift the overall service quality and create a

fair competitive environment for the institutions.

As always, we strive to keep our fingers at the pulse of social and economic

latest development to develop more new offerings such as bachelor degree

programmes to accommodate different needs of the society. To up-lift our

teaching quality, we will keep on improving the College’s facilities and teachers

qualifications. I sincerely hope the government and the society would give us

support continuously to bolster the College’s future development, making us

become the students’ preferable institution in future.


校長的話Message of the President & Principal

2009年是港專突飛猛進、收獲豐碩的一年。

首先是校舍建設。本年九月，港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園正式投入服務。這所樓宇面積佔45,000平方呎、容納1,000名全日制認可副學位課程學生的獨立新校舍，對港專的規劃發展及提昇辦學水平，起了重大的作用，意義非凡。

港專的校舍建設得到了社會廣泛的支持，當中包括賽馬會慈善信託基金捐助港幣680萬元及慧妍雅集捐助超過100萬元，作為馬鞍山及何文田校舍翻新工程的費用。我們是首間獲得上述兩家機構贊助的自資專上院校，顯示了港專精神與辦學成績，得到了社會各界的嘉許及認同。

此外，我們特別新租用13,500平方呎灣仔教學中心，並全面翻新何文田校舍為港專毅進課程總部，為激增的全日制毅進課程及通用文憑課程的學生提供良好學習環境，重點照顧他們的學習需要。

與此同時，我們把都會校舍，連同亞皆老街、砵蘭街及西洋菜街等培訓中心，為職業訓練學院重新規劃，重整裝備及增添多項嶄新設施，發展再培訓課程，以配合社會未來在延續教育方面的需求。

其次是課程開發。為協助最後一屆會考畢業生繼續升學，我們開發了16個全新毅進課程。而為迎接2012年新高中學制的推行，我們亦將高等教育多項課程進行改組，並成功通過香港學術及職業資歷評審局評審。在延續教育，我們的成人教育中心開辦了新高中課程，特別是首次在夜中學引進應用學習課程，並再次成為可獲發還學費的政府指定中心。職業訓練學院成功開辦兩項全新青年培育計劃「高清導航」課程，以及多項「人才發展計劃」課程，深受歡迎。

良好的設施、課程和教育，令港專學生過去的一年表現不負眾望。各學生參與的公開考試及比賽，屢獲殊榮。創意設計高級文憑課程的同學在蘋果日報蘋果創意廣告獎2009「學界創意平面廣告獎」、「高錕敎授榮獲諾貝爾獎─郵票小型張設計比賽」等公開比賽中，勇奪冠亞軍獎項；會計學高級文憑課程同學於香港財務會計協會HKIAAT - 2009-2010會計及商業管理個案比賽大專組中，亦取得佳績。延續教育的多位會計課程同學，於LCC&I Level 1 - 3三個考試取得優異（Distinction），其中3位更於Level 1考試取得滿分，成為全球100位滿分學員的其中3位，並同時於LCCI 2009 Medallion Awards Ceremony獲「Certificate of Excellence」獎狀；另有7位學員在HKIAAT認可會計文員考試獲頒HKIAAT獎學金，成績斐然。

上述一切優異佳績，全憑港專各同事的努力所致。儘管在過程中面對人手緊絀、時間不足等挑戰，仍最終能逐一解決，為學校發展打下良好基礎。我在此向他們表示衷心謝意！

值得一提的是，今年是「專業進修資料服務中心」（ISCOPS）成立二十週年。ISCOPS的成立為有意考取專業資格的人士提供了資訊和支援服務，為專業界別提供了交流和會聚的平台，亦為港專拓展了社會支持網絡，為專業課程，以及其後的專上課程發展奠定了基礎。當年建議港專成立ISCOPS的盧明德教授，捐資支持的已故張鑑泉先生、羅康瑞先生、香港中華總商會（基金）有限公司、何耀光慈善基金有限公司等熱心人士和機構，以及當時在困難條件下推動ISCOPS工作的兼職和全職人員，他們的貢獻和心意，我們銘記於心。

政府將教育列入香港六大優勢產業之一，並且提出發展高等教育需要公私「兩條腿走路」，港專會對此作出積極回應。來年，港專將更專注於提升辦學質素及水平，以及對學生的培育，並致力開拓學士學位等更多元化的課程；同時亦會繼續配合政府推出的教育及培訓政策，積極提出相關見解，推動教育發展，促進社會的進步。

2009 was a fruitful year for HKCT and we witnessed phenomenal success in our development.

For the College’s infrastructure, HKCT Jockey Club Campus officially comes into service. It is the first College’s independent campus which occupies a total area of 45,000 sq feet and accommodates over 1,000 full-time sub-degree programmes students. It also plays a significant role for the College’s future strategic planning and helps uplift its programmes standard.

Our campus development has garnered an extensive patronage from the society, in which Hong Kong Jockey Club and Wai Yin Association have sponsored HKD6.8 millions and HKD1 million to renovate our Ma On Shan and Ho Man Tin Campuses respectively. We are the first charitable post secondary education institution in the territory to receive sponsorships from the above mentioned organizations, which represents the recognition and praise from the public towards the school.

To cater the vigorous increase in enrollments for the full-time Project Yi Jin Programmes, we have particularly established the Wan Chai Extension, which areas occupy 13,500 sq feet in a commercial building located in the district and renovated our Homantin Campus as the headquarter of Project Yi Jin programmes to specifically serve the needs of Project Yi Jin students.

Meanwhile, we also overhauled our School of Vocational Training campuses arrangements by refurbishing the training centres at the Argle and Portland Street in Mongkok and Hunghom with the brand new teaching facilities to cope with the increasing demands of our students for further education.

For programmes development, we have established 16 new Project Yi Jin programmes designated for the last HKCEE students. With the placement of the New Senior Secondary Structure (NSSS) in 2012, we re-engineered our higher education programmes to the Hong Kong Council of Academic Accreditation and Vocational Qualifications for programme accreditations. For further education, our adult education centre has put NSS in place and it has been its first time to offer applied learning programmes at evening schools. The Centre has also been recommissioned by the Hong Kong Government as the approved course provider under the “Financial Assistance Scheme for Designated Evening Adult Education Courses”. Our School of Vocational Education has successfully launched two new “Beacon of Life” courses and a series of new “Manpower Development Scheme” programmes, which have been well received by students.

The performance of our students last year surpassed our expectations. They accomplished excellent results in many public examinations and competitions. Our students won the first and second prize and the “Academic Sector of the Apple Creative Advertising Awards 2009” and “Stamp Sheetlet Design Competition in Honour of Professor Charles Kao’s Being Awarded the Nobel Prize”. Furthermore, our High Diploma Accounting students outperformed other institutions in HKIAAT - 2009-2010 the HKIAA Accounting and Business Management Cases Competition. In the LCC&I Level 1–3 Examination, our students in Further Education Department achieved many Distinctions and three of them scored full marks in Level 1 Examination, they were the top three students among the 100 students getting full marks in the world. They were awarded with the Certificate of Excellence in the LCCI 2009 Medallion Awards Ceremony and seven students achieved excellent results in the HKIAAT Certified Accounts Clerk Examination and were awarded the HKIAA scholarships.

Their dazzling results were attributed to the hard work of our colleagues. Though we encountered the challenges of manpower shortages and limited time, we resolved each of it and thus laying a good and solid foundation for the college. I would like to take the opportunity here to express my gratitude for their contributions.

Meanwhile, ISCOPS enters its 20th anniversary this year. Its objective is to provide information and supporting services for in-service workers to obtain their professional qualifications and to serve as a platform for their information exchanges and building up collaborations, which has helped us to broaden our networks and lay a good foundation to develop professional and post-secondary education programmes. The contributions and whole-hearted support from its founder, Lo Ming-Tak and its lists of sponsors such as the late Hon. Stephen Cheong Kam Chuen, C.B.E., JP; Mr Vincent Lo Hong Sui, the Chinese Manufacturer’s Association of Hong Kong and its full-time and part-time staff will be lingering in our hearts.

The Government has assigned education as one of its six industries and emphasized that the collaborations between public and private sectors would be essential to keep the development of higher education move forward, we will actively respond to the latest education development by offering programmes at different levels. In the coming year, we will devote ourselves to promote the teaching quality and better students training, endeavor to develop bachelor degree programmes and propose more new ideas to propel the education development, making our society step forward.

高等教育Higher Education

應用科技學部Division of Applied Technology

新課程發展2009年下旬，港專與裡茲都會大學商討發展土木工程學士學位的銜接課程。學校於2009年7月到訪裡茲都會大學確認合作方案。課程於2010年夏季正式推出市場，報讀人數令人滿意。課程並於2010年底正式開課。

此外，學部仍繼續與英國皇家農業大學合辦短期課程，開辦目的旨在為建築學位畢業生提供另一途徑考取皇家特許測量師學會員資格。

New Programmes DevelopmentIn late 2009, discussions were initiated between HKCT and Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU) in development of a new top-up degree programme, namely BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering. All validation procedures in both HKCT and LMU were completed successfully and the college had visited LMU in July 2009 for the university accreditation process.

Initial responses from the market in summer 2010 were satisfactory and it is expected that the programme will be launching in late 2010.

Besides, the development of a short course with Royal Agricultural College, UK (RAC) is ongoing. This short course aims at providing the building and construction degree graduates an alternative route to obtain the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) membership.

參與專業活動2009至2010年，學部轄下「城市及建造環境研究中心」舉辦了一系列的活動，幫助提升建造業界的專業發展。學部亦積極與「職業安全及健康香港分會」及「工程監督及建設監理學會」建立更緊密的關係，合辦了多個研討會。

Participation in Professional Activities In 2009-10, the Centre for the Urban & Built Environment (CUBE) which is under the division, had organized a series of activities to help uplift the professional development in the building and construction industry. The division has actively established closer collaborations with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Hong Kong) (IOSH) and the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (Hong Kong) (ICWCI) to arrange numerous seminars.

課程再度獲專業學會認可2010年8月，電機及電子工程高級文憑和電機及電子工程學士，再次獲「英國營運工程師學會（香港分會）」批核。學會專家小組更於2010年8月1日到訪學校，並約見課程設計的團隊、老師及學員。對於上述兩個課程的運作及水準，學會表示十分滿意。

此外，學部亦被委位成為「英國營運工程師學會（香港分會）」的香港學生聯絡處。該會總裁、審查主席，以及各高級職員亦應邀到港專銅鑼灣校舍頒發委任狀，委任為期兩年。

Professional Recognitions of Programmes In August 2010, the Higher Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the BEng (Hons) Electronic and Electrical Engineering were re-validated by the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE). A panel visit was conducted on 1 August 2010, the panel reviewed the documents, interviewed the programme team, teachers and students. In general, they were satisfied with the delivery and the quality standard of the two programmes.

Besides, HKCT had been appointed as the Student Liaison Office of SOE in Hong Kong. The President of the SOE, Accreditation Chair of SOE and some senior officials were invited to come to HKCT the Causeway Bay Campus to present the appointment certificates. The appointment is initially for 2 years.


學生表現驕人2009年底，多位創意設計高級文憑課程的同學參加了「尊重網上知識產權」卡套設計比賽、高錕教授榮獲諾貝爾獎 - 郵票小型張設計比賽及蘋果日報主辦之蘋果創意廣告獎 2009的「學界創意平面廣告獎」，合共勇奪八個獎項。

2010年7月，學部在創新中心舉辦了創意設計高級文憑畢業年展。今年以「始於紙，展於此」作口號，強調紙張是同學畫草圖或交功課時不可缺少的好拍檔。故此，他們親手用咭紙製作巨型英文字母拼湊成「HKCT Graduation Show」作展場裝飾，成功吸引了不少傳媒、專業設計師、老師、家長及學生蒞臨參觀，並得到高度的評價。

擴闊學習體驗英國電腦學會於2010年1月在銅鑼灣校舍舉辦了職業講座，學生反應熱烈。2010年2月，電腦科高級文憑課程學生訪問了位於深圳的騰訊總部大樓，藉此活動，擴闊了同學的視野。

Widen Students’ Learning ExperiencesThe British Computer Society (BCS) had organized a Career Talk in our Causeway Bay campus in January 2010 and this event was supported by DAT and was well received by the students. In February 2010, our Higher Diploma in Computer Studies (HDCS) students had visited the Tencent Holdings Ltd headquarter in Shenzhen to widen their exposure.

Outstanding Performance of StudentsIn late 2009, a number of our Higher Diploma in Creative Design (HDCD) students participated in three open competitions, namely “Respect Intellectual Property on the Internet” Card Holder Design Competition, Stamp Sheetlet Design Competition in Honour of Professor Charles Kao’s Being Awarded the Noble Prize and the Academic sector of Apple Daily Advertising Awards 2009. A total of eight prizes and awards were received by our students.

In July 2010, a yearly event – HDCD Graduation Show was held at Inno Centre, the theme for the Graduation show was “Start with paper, Show them here”. It emphasized sketch paper was an indispensable tool when the students handed in their art work. They used sketch paper to make giant letter “HKCT Graduation Show” for decoration. This event had attracted a number of media, design professionals, school teachers, parents and students and they were highly appreciated.

1716乘風破浪，彰顯豐碩成果 A Great Stride to Success

商學部Division of Business

安排學生參與交流及實習計劃學部繼續安排學生參與不同類別的交流及實習計劃。學部於今年四月及六月為修讀會計的學員安排瀋陽交流活動及「影子計劃」，讓他們了解國情及國內管理人員工作情況。在暑假期間，亦安排學員參加北京工作體驗計劃，藉以提升他們對國內企業營運的認識。

而為修讀商貿學學員，學部獲業界的支持，組織各類型學術發展活動和研討會，當中包括英國特許市務學會、香港市務學會及本地及海外各大著名商業機構等。例如安排學生參加英國特許市務學會CIM師徒指導計劃、集友銀行的職場啓動、紐約人壽的財務實戰工作坊及其他相關之專題研討會，讓準備畢業的學員盡早掌握市場動向，提升他們未來升學及就業的競爭力。

Arrange Exchange and Internships Programmes for StudentsThe Division keeps on organizing different exchange internship programmes for students. Accounting students were arranged to participate in the Exchange Program in Shenyang and the “Shadow Programme” to familiarize themselves with the motherland’s latest business development and got a taste of the work experiences of management people in the mainland. During the summer vacation, the Division also organized internship programme in Beijing to uplift their understanding towards the operations of corporations in the mainland China.

For business students, the Division also organized a variety of seminars, workshops, field trips as well as exchange programs such as the CIMA student/teacher mentorship, “Chi Yu Banking Career Activation” and “New York Life Financial Practice Workshop”. By means of participating in these activities, they took the full grasp of the markets development and enhanced their competitiveness for their further studies as well as job seeking.

學生揚威校際比賽及在國際專業考試獲優異成績會計系畢業生陳啟倫在特許公認會計師公會（ACCA）考試中，P7 卷考獲全港最佳成績。此外，在本年度香港財務會計協會（HKIAAT）會計及商業管理個案比賽（大專組）中更囊括多達三分之一的獎項，足見港專畢業生的實力不遜色於其他院校。

而在ACCA大專生商業策劃大比拚中，港專學生奪得評判嘉許獎，表現非凡。此外，由會計系會籌組而成的人力車隊伍亦在ACCA慈善人力車接力賽中勇奪季軍。而由理工大學專業進修學院及英國特許市務學會（香港）合辦的商業創意大賽2010中，商貿學高級文憑學員亦奪得「BIA商業創意大賽2010 MTR

Award」獎項。

Students Shine in Interschools Competitions and International Professional ExaminationsIn the ACCA Examination, Chan Kai-lun, the graduate of Higher Diploma in Accounting , obtained the highest scores in paper P7. Moreover, some of the students snatched over one-third of the prizes in the HKIAAT Accounting and Business Management Cases Competition. Their outstanding performance represents that our students are as excellent as other candidates in different tertiary institutions. They also won the Merits Awards in the ACCA Business Competition, as well as the second runner-up in ACCA Rickshaw Race.

Meanwhile, the students of high diploma in business also won Hong Kong Polytechnic University Business Innovation Awards.


與業界保持緊密聯繫學部去年分別加入「香港旅行社協會」，成為附屬會員及「英國款待學院」之國際教育機構會員，與業界建立更緊密的聯繫。在今年暑假，特別安排修讀旅遊及酒店款待學學員參加在新加坡舉行的第38屆香港旅行社協會2010海外周年會議，以促進學員與業界的交流，藉以擴闊他們的國際視野，了解最新的行業資訊。

安排學員參加多項專業學會活動及比賽學部每年均安排修讀旅遊及酒店款待學員到本地各大星級酒店、會所、郵輪公司、餐廳集團、會議及展覽公司、項目统籌、主題公園、旅行社或相關機構參加實習計劃。今年，為培育及建立學員對款待服務之精神，特別安排他們參加郵輪學大使及款待服務學生大使計劃。

在郵輪學生大使計劃中，學員為香港旅遊發展局及各大郵輪公司負責接待海外遊客；而在款待服務學生大使計劃中，學員為香港會議展覽中心在「國際銀行營運研討會」活動中，作為期一週之款待服務，表現獲一致好評。

Arrange Students to Participate in Professional Activities and CompetitionsThe Division each year arranges students to participate in internships programmes at star-rated hotels, clubs, cruise lines, restaurants, conventions and exhibition centres, theme parks and travel agencies. To enhance the students’ development in tourism and hospitality industry, ‘Student Hospitality Team’ and ‘Cruise Ambassador Team’ have been specially arranged this year. Through which, students have the opportunities to serve various organizations such as Hong Kong Tourism Board, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and various cruise lines. They received encouraging feedbacks from their employers after training.

Maintain Closer Relationship with The IndustryThe Division has joined the Hong Kong Association of Travel Agents as affiliated member and become the International Scheme Member, Education Membership Scheme of the Institute of Hospitality to establish closer relationships with the industry last year. The Division has arranged students in tourism and hospitality management to participate in annual

conference in Singapore in which they were given the opportunity to meet with the professionals in the industry, collect the latest industry information and widen their personal horizons.


人文與社會科學學部Division of Humanities & Social Sciences

畢業生就業率上升於2009/10年度，本學部的全日制和兼讀制社會工作副學士學位課程共有94名學生畢業，部分畢業生在完成學業後已迅速找到社會服務工作職位。畢業生所投身的服務領域多元化，包括青少年服務、長者服務、婦女服務、復康服務、社區服務等等。更令人鼓舞的是部份學生在完成實習工作後，即獲得實習機構聘用。

Increase in Employment Rate of GraduatesIn 2009/10, there were totally 94 full-time and part-time students graduated from Associate Degree of Social Work Programmes (Full-time and Part-time). Many of them were quickly recruited as social workers in different social service sectors, including youth, elderly, women, rehabilitation centers as well as community. Some of the students were directly recruited by the placement agencies by the time they completed their fieldwork placement there.

舉辦「社會工作學生會議」本學部及社會工作系會於2009年10月30日合辦「第五屆社會工作學生會議」。會議主題為「社工如何促進社會公義」，探討社會對弱勢社群的關顧及資源分配是否完備，並分析現時社會政策的不足之處。當日，超過300名參加者出席；而多位來自學院、非政府機構、社會工作者工會組織和香港社會工作學生聯會的代表，就議題發表意見。

探訪深圳社會服務機構學部於2010年7月10日安排70多名學生往訪深圳的社會服務單位，了解內地社會服務最新發展。同學認為是次探訪活動不僅擴闊眼界、亦提高對內地非牟利機構和社會服務的認識。

Visit Social Service Organizations in ShenzhenMore than seventy students went to visit the social service organizations in Shenzhen on July 10, 2010. Through this visit, our students enhanced their knowledge and understanding towards the non-government organizations and social services in the Mainland.

Organize the “Social Work Students Conference”The Division and the Social Work Student Society jointly organized the Fifth Social Work Students Meeting on October 30, 2009. The Meeting was entitled as “How Social Workers Promote Social Justice”. There were more than 300 participants mainly from different colleges, non-government organizations, social workers’ trade unions and the Hong Kong Federation of Social Work Students, they attended the conference to discuss the caring of underprivileged groups, the inadequacy of resource allocation as well as the evaluation of the current social welfare policies.


以非正規教育促進學生發展與學生發展部和圖書及資料館於2010年3月份合辦了3次作家分享會，以提升同學閱讀興趣。此外，也舉辦多個熱門時事議題研討會，如財政預算案研討會、「苦行、土地、生活」分享會等，從而提升同學們對社會時事的關注。

Enhance Students Development by Informal EducationIn March 2010, the Division and the Department of Student Development and Alumni as well as the Library arranged three Writer Sharing Workshops to promote the reading habit among our students. Moreover, to increase students’ awareness of the current affairs, several seminars regarding to The Budget, the ‘Prostrating Walk, Land, Live’ were also organized.

響應「2010國際社工日」2010年1月31日，學部師生一行35人參加由「2010社工日（香港）籌備委員會」舉行的「國際社工日」長跑比賽。一眾師生健兒積極投入，用行動展示社會工作者積極樂觀的專業形象。他們認真作賽，並獲得8面個人獎牌；而在團體參與獎中，亦得到亞軍殊榮，成績驕人。

Getting Involved in the World Social Work Day 2010On January 31, 2010, we had 35 students and teachers participating in the Social Work Day 2010 (HK) Long Run Competition, which was organized by ‘Social Work Day 2010 (HK) Organizing Committee’. With the positive attitude, the students demonstrated the enthusiastic and professional image of the social workers. They also achieved amazing results with 8 medals in individual session and the first runner up in group session.


Provision of New Programs for Secondary School Leavers The Centre has developed 16 new full-time certificates programmes, totaling 21 in its number, for Project Yi Jin. New certificates programmes like “Airline & Cruise Services”, “Wedding & Events Planning”, “Infotainment Production” and “Japanese through Popular Culture” have been designed to turn their interests into the full-time studies. As a result, it has successfully attracted more than 1,300 students enrolled in Project Yi Jin for the new academic year 2010-11.

We have developed the new Applied Learning course “Understanding Hong Kong Law” in the 2010-12 cohorts for secondary students as an elective subject of “The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination”. This Applied Learning subject is designed to enable students to understand the fundamental theories and concepts, develop their generic skills, and address their career aspirations in the legal sector.

通用教育學部Centre of Foundation Studies

為中學畢業生提供嶄新課程學部今年發展了16個嶄新的全日制毅進計劃課程，課程總數達至21個。新課程包括：「航空及郵輪服務證書」、「婚姻及慶典統籌師證書」、「電視資訊節目製作證書」及「動漫文化日語證書」，讓學生將興趣轉化為學習科目。在2010/11新學年，成功吸引了超過1,300人就讀港專開辦的全日制毅進計劃課程。

此外，學部亦發展了可供2010/12年度「香港中學文憑考試」應考生選修的「認識香港法律」應用學習新課程。這個課程讓學生了解法律的基本理論和概念，務求令他們及早培養職業興趣，發展相關技能。

擴闊學生視野學部安排學生走訪多個組織及團體，增強他們對課程相關職業的了解，亦鼓勵學生參與公開活動。在「香港運輸物流學會」舉辦的物流個案比賽，兩位通用文憑同學榮獲優異獎。

此外，10名修讀通用文憑課程的同學參加了由「香港中華廠商聯合會」舉辦的「第四十四屆工展會 ─ 創業先鋒計劃」，售賣自創的購物袋。他們獲大會選為八個優勝隊伍之一，贏取了價值港幣四萬元的攤位免租優惠。藉著老師的指導，同學從中取得了營運業務的實戰經驗，並學習到團隊的溝通及人際關係技巧。

翻新何文田校舍何文田校舍經已翻新，以配合同學的學習需要。新校舍成為港專毅進課程的總部，並得到「慧妍雅集」贊助。原來的圖書館已改變為「創意活力學習中心」，成為一個開放、充滿活力、能迎合年輕人和富吸引力的學習環境。翻新工程旨在加強學生的自學能力、歸屬感、以及充滿自信地探索及欣賞外國文化。

Homantin Campus RenovationThe Homantin Campus has been renovated to meet the needs of students. The new campus is positioned as the College’s Project Yi Jin Headquarter and has got the sponsorships from “Wai Yin Association”. The library has been transformed into “Creative Learning Centre”, to provide an open, energetic and attractive learning environment to students, in order to accommodate to the learning habits and characteristics of teenagers nowadays. It also aimed at enhancing students’ self-learning ability, sense of belonging to the College, and explorations and appreciation of foreign culture.

Broaden Students’ ExposureA lot of outings and visits to organizations were arranged for students to familiarize themselves with the career-related contexts of their specific major disciplines. The Centre also encouraged students to participate in open competitions. Two students of Associate Diploma have received the Merit Award in the Logistics Case Competition organized by “The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Hong Kong”.

Beside, ten students of Associate Diploma have participated in “The 44th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo -Business Pioneers Programme” held by “The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong”. They were one of the eight winning teams and were awarded a free stall which worthed HKD40,000 in the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo. Students sold their designed shopping bags. With the advice of teacher, students not only have gained hands-on experience in running business, but also facilitated their communication and interpersonal skills.


教學團隊的專業發展語言傳意學部主任李慧慈老師及副主任李慧文老師獲獎代表香港遠赴英國牛津大學及莎翁誕生地分別出席大型國際會議及莎士比亞研習計劃。兩位老師與薈英社及來自20多個國家通過地區選拔的代表，進行了學術及文化交流，從而擴大了國際網絡。李慧慈老師同時獲邀出席由北京王府學校及美國大學理事會合辦，於北京舉行的「2010年中國首屆Advanced Placement課程教學交流會議」。此外，英文組主任陳美蘭老師及語言中心經理吳恩卓老師則獲派訪問新加坡，與語文中心及大學的語言教學專家交流。

語言傳意學部Centre of Languages & Communication

語言中心正式啟用港專獲教育局「質素提升津貼計劃」撥款165萬元成立的語言中心，已於2009年11月18日正式啟用。開幕當日榮邀了香港城市大學英文系副教授 Dr. Lindsay Miller、特許語言學會香港學會主席李錦昌博士、香港青年協會副總幹事趙惠芹女士、香港教育學院國際教育與終身學習學系系主任Prof. Bob Adamson及港專校長陳卓禧博士出席主持典禮。

語言中心的最大特色，是設有悠閑的茶聚閣，讓學員可以輕鬆地與英語為母語的人士閒聊。另外，中心亦附設學習資源豐富的「尋寶島」、小組觀賞外語影片的迷你影院，以及配備電腦設施的個人錄音室及讀寫天地。中心好評如潮，大受學生歡迎，啟用至今，使用人次已超過5,000。

Opening of QEGS-funded Language CentreThe Language Centre (LC), granted HK$1.65 Million from the Education Bureau under the Quality Enhancement Grant Scheme (QEGS), has been officially opened since 18 November 2009. Esteemed guests were invited to officiate Grand Opening ceremony, including Dr. Lindsay Miller, Associate Professor, Department of English, City University of Hong Kong; Dr. K.C. Li, Chairman, Chartered Institute of Linguists Hong Kong Society; Ms. Yolanda Chiu, Deputy Executive Director, Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups; Prof. Bob Adamson, Head, Department of International Education and Lifelong Learning, Hong Kong Institute of Education and Dr. Chan Cheuk Hay, President and Principal, Hong Kong College of Technology.

The Centre is characterized by its relaxing Chat Café for casual chats with native English speakers, resourceful Treasure Island, Mini-theatre for group appreciation, interactive Workshop World, enclosed Individual Studio and Reading & Writing Zone with computer kiosk. Students’ feedbacks were overwhelming with over 5,000 number of visits since its inception as well as complimentary comments from guests, teachers and students.

公開考試，超越自我學部利用獎勵計劃，鼓勵學生參與公開考試，並設立了多個獎項予努力求進的同學。獎項包括「會考成績進步獎」、「國際英語水平測試獎學金」及「普通話水平測試獎學金」，學部樂見學生能夠在會考中考到中文及/或英文科及格或更高水平，標誌著學生已跨越了社會公認的最基本門檻。另外，學部今年亦為成功考取「國際英語水平測試」(IELTS) 及「普通話水平測試」理想成績的學生設立了獎學金。本校高級文憑的同學考獲IELTS 6及6.5級佳績，這個成績絕對媲美大學畢業的英語水平。普通話水平方面，同學在「普通話水平測試」中考獲二級乙等甚至甲等的佳績，幾近專家水平！

Professional Development of Academic StaffMs. Ada Li, Head of CLC and Ms. Shida Lee, Deputy Head of CLC were awarded delegation to the International Relations Conference at Mansfield College, Oxford University and the Shakespeare Study Programme at Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Stratford-upon-Avon in the United Kingdom. They have established international networks, exchanged academically and culturally with the English Speaking Union and delegates selected from more than 20 countries. Ada was also invited to join the 2010 China First Advanced Placement Teaching and Learning Exchange Fair co-organised by the Beijing Royal School and College Board (the United States) in Beijing. Ms. Maggy Chan, Head of English Section, CLC and Ms. Rouvee Ng, Project Manager of Language Centre, CLC were delegated to visit Singapore to exchange with language educators in language centres and colleges.

Students’ Achievements in Public ExaminationsCLC encouraged students to attempt public examinations with our incentive schemes. The Centre issued a vast number of language awards to students applying for our “HKCEE Progress Awards”, “IELTS Scholarship” and “Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi Scholarship” in 2009-2010. It is encouraging to witness students who have attained a pass or above level in Chinese Language and/or English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) as a result of our training. This is indeed a big step overcoming the threshold commonly set by the public. For students with stronger capabilities, the scholarships for success in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and the “Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi” (PSC) have been put in place. Our Higher Diploma students have achieved Band 6-6.5 in IELTS which signifies equivalence to university graduates’ level of English proficiency. Likewise, some students have obtained Grade 2A-2B in PSC, comparable to advanced to near-expert standard in Putonghua mastery.


學生發展部Department of Student Development & Alumni Affairs

安排多項國內及海外交流活動，擴闊學生視野為讓學生有更多擴闊個人視野、增進知識之機會，學生發展部舉辦「北京工作實習及工作體驗」、「遼城之旅 — 中港學生雙向交流」及「台北攻略 — 藝術之旅」等多項交流活動。學生完成活動後，大部分都深化了個人國民身份及對國家認同，並且增加了對兩地文化與歷史之認識。

Arrange Several Mainland and Overseas Exchange Programs to Widen Students’ HorizonTo widen the students’ horizon and to increase their knowledge, the Department has organized the exchange programs like Beijing Workshop and Experience, The Tour of Liao City – The Exchange Program of Mainland and Hong Kong Students and Taipei Art Trip. Most of the participants enhanced their knowledge of the history and culture between Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and identities with the motherland.

提升學生對新校舍認識為迎接馬鞍山新校舍啟用，舉辦一系列認識新校園的活動，其中「飛躍校園 — 馬鞍山遊蹤」社區定向活動，讓師生以互動形式探索馬鞍山社區，為遷入新校舍作出裝備，亦藉此提升對學校之歸屬感。

推動全人發展學生發展部深信全人發展對青年人的成長極為重要，故此，在過去一年致力以啟導方式及經驗學習法，讓學生能重新認識自己，並培養獨立的解決問題能力。學生發展部提供學生全方位的學習機會，包括個人情緒支援、建立正面之社會工作態度、培養領袖才能、服務社區等，目的讓學生擁有積極的人生態度，豐富的生活知識及人生經驗。

Promote Students’ Holistic DevelopmentThe Department believes that holistic development is very important to the growth of young people. Therefore, in the past school years, we have adopted guiding and learn–by-experience approaches to help students know more about themselves and solve problems independently. We provided students with comprehensive learning opportunities ranging from personal emotions, to positive working attitude, leadership skills as well as serving the community. We targeted to help students build up a positive attitude, and enrich their life experiences.

Enhance the Understanding of the New CampusTo greet the opening of the new Ma On Shan Campus, the Department has organized a series of orientation activities, which included “Campus fo Tomorrow – Orienteering in Ma On Shan”. The activity enabled the teachers and students interactively to explore the Ma On Shan community. By doing so, they prepared themselves to move into the new campus in the middle of the year, and enhanced the sense of belongings towards the new campus.


延續教育Further Education

職業訓練學院School of Vocational Training

人才發展計劃為配合再培訓局開設的「青年培育計劃」，職業訓練學院去年推出了兩個「高清導航」課程，分別為「美容化妝、髮型及甲藝設計」及「創意互動網站設計及程式編寫」。除職業技能訓練外，課程主要培養學員的自信、自律、自勵、自我表達和自學精神，協助他們看清未來方向及面對挑戰。課程推出後廣受學員歡迎，學員的就業情況亦相當理想。

會計課程一向深受學員歡迎。過去一年，學員在公開考試取得優異的成績，共有180位學員在LCCI Level 1 - 3三個考試中取得優異（Distinction），其中更有3位學員於Level 1的考試中考獲滿分成績，成為該項考試中全球100位考獲滿分的學員其中3位，並於LCCI 2009 Medallion Awards Ceremony中獲頒「Certificate of Excellence」獎狀。此外，學員在HKIAAT認可會計文員考試中也取得理想成績，其中更有7位學員獲頒HKIAAT獎學金。

Manpower Development SchemeTo coordinate with the “Youth Development Program” of the Employees Retraining Board, SVT last year launched two new courses, the “Beacon of Life – Certificate in Styling Arts of Cosmetics, Hairdressing & Nail Design” and the “Beacon of Life – Certificate in Creative & Interactive Website Design and Programming”. Apart from vocational training, the courses aimed at cultivating among the trainees a positive attitude towards life and helping them map out their personal development plans. The courses were well received by students and their placement rate was very satisfactory.

Accounting is always the favorite subject of the students. Our students obtained excellent results in the public examinations. 180 students got Distinction in LCCI Level 1 – 3 Examination last year. Amongst them, three students got full marks in the Level I Examination. They were 3 of the 100 candidates worldwide getting full marks and awarded the “Certificate of Excellence” in the LCCI 2009 Medallion Awards Ceremony. Moreover, our students also obtained excellent results in the HKIAAT Certified Accounts Clerk Examination. Seven of them were awarded the HKIAAT scholarship.

展翅‧青見計劃展翅青見計劃於2009年9月起合併，為學員提供更廣、更深及更從全人發展角度出發的服務。學院除跟進更多學員個案、增加核心課程訓練之外，亦繼續開辦多個職業技能訓練課程。今年的展翅學員當中，更有一位獲選為「展翅青見超新星」。此外，基於課程的實用性強，畢業學員都能成功學習一技之長，增加就業的信心。

再次榮獲僱員再培訓頒發獎項港專一直緊貼市場狀況，積極開拓不同種類的課程，為具不同志向及教育程度人士提供多元化的課程選擇。

在2010年1月舉行的第2屆「人才發展計劃」頒獎禮中，本校再度獲僱員再培訓局頒發「ERB課程發展獎」及「ERB優質服務獎」，以表揚港專在課程發展及培訓服務方面的優異表現。

Youth Pre-employment Training Programme and the Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme (YPTP&YWETS)The two Programs were combined in September 2009 to provide students from their perspectives to cater to their needs for “deeper”, “wider” services. The College not only followed up with more student cases and enhanced the core course training, but also established more vocational training courses. This year, we have a graduate student conferred The Most Improved Trainees Awards under YPTP & YWETS.

ERB Manpower Achievement AwardHKCT always keeps up with the market and actively establishes various courses for candidates with different career objectives and education standards.

In January 2010, the College was again honored the “ERB Course Development Award” and “ERB Quality Services Awards” in the second Manpower Development Scheme Award Presentation Ceremony for her outstanding performance in courses development and training services.


傑出學員選舉 2010年7月8日在都會商場舉行的傑出學員選舉，選出5位傑出學員和4位優異學員。除頒授獎項予上述9位學員外，學院還向在4個公開考試取得優異成績的學員頒授獎狀和紀念品。今年得獎學員人數高達180位，是歷年之冠，成績令人鼓舞。是次頒獎禮更成功邀得勞工及福利局張建宗局長及再培訓局行政總監潘婷婷女士擔任主禮嘉賓。

僱主服務僱主是我們最重要的合作伙伴之一，過去一年，我們一共為不同行業的僱主組織了75次招聘講座、與及舉辦了11次由再培訓局行業推廣計劃資助的「求職有行」招聘活動。

此外，學院亦特別獲勞工處的資助，於2010年7月13日在黃大仙龍翔中心舉辦「前路‧由你創港專青年招聘日」。當日共有121間公司參與，提供約300項職位，合共1,918個空缺。僱主和入場人士均對是次活動成效非常滿意，而活動亦獲傳媒廣泛報導。

Employers ServicesEmployers are one of our most important working partners. Last year, the School organized 11 Job Fairs which were subsidized by the ERB Industry Promotion Programme and 75 Recruitment Talks for employers from various industries.

Moreover, with the special subsidy from Labour Department, the HKCT Career Expo 2009 was held at Lung Cheung Mall, Wong Tai Sin on July 23, 2009. There were 121 companies offering about 300 positions with 1,918 vacancies. The employers and participants were highly satisfied with the Fair, which was also extensively covered by media.

Outstanding Students SelectionFive outstanding students and four excellent students were selected in the Outstanding Students Selection for SVT of which the ceremony was held on July 8, 2010 at Metropolis Hall. Awards and souvenirs were also awarded to students getting distinctions in four public examinations on the same stage. There were totally 180 students commended and these results were unprecedented and encouraging. The Ceremony was officiated by Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, Secretary for Labour and Welfare and Ms. Rebecca Pun, Executive Director of ERB.


重點發展英語課程除國際專業認可資格課程外，中心今年亦特別重點發展英語課程，以滿足在職人士學習需要。課程以訓練學員聽、寫、讀、講四方面為特色，並提供彈性進修階梯，讓有需要人士逐步提升英語能力。

為提升課程質素，中心特別要求導師必須具有學士學位或以上資歷，並同時以英文為主修科。此外，亦推行一套完整教學質素保証制度，包括專人視學、評估教學大綱及了解學員意見等，銳意提升教學質素。此外，並特別與本校語言傳意學部合作，善用英語中心的活動教學設施，優化英語短期課程，增加學員學習成效。

Put Focus on Developing English CoursesApart from professional qualification examination courses, English courses were designed to prioritize the needs of the working population. The Courses aimed to improve learners English skills in listening, writing, reading as well as speaking. Advanced levels were available to cater individual needs.

To ensure the course quality, the teachers minimum academic qualifications should reach Bachelor’s degree in English. In addition to teacher qualification, the Centre also implemented a comprehensive teaching system, in which quality assurance inspection, teaching evaluation outlines and student feedback are included. Moreover, by sharing the facilities of the English Activity Teaching Centre with Centre of Languages and Communication, the short English courses were optimized to make students learning becomes more effective.

香港競爭力促進中心Hong Kong Competitiveness Centre

香港競爭力促進中心一直致力為社會不同人士，提供多元化的課程，包括休閒及考取專業資格的課程。去年，報讀本中心課程人數逾3,000人。

The Centre provides diversified courses for different walks of life ranging from leisure as well as professional qualification examination courses. Last year, more than 3,000 people enrolled in different courses.

發展多項國際專業認可資格課程鑒於各行各業對從業員的要求越來越高，為協助在職人士考取國際認可專業資格，本中心於去年發展多個不同行業的職業培訓課程，如碳審計應用證書課程、City and Guilds國際咖啡調配師資格訓練課程、Central TAFE企業培訓導師及評審師證書課程等，皆獲得熱烈反應。中心將繼續為有需要的人士提供職業培訓的進修階梯，配合政府鼓勵持續進修的政策，協助學員獲取更高的資歷及專業資格。

Launch More Accredited Professional Examination CoursesTo help working class cope with the increasing demands from their professions, the Centre had developed many training courses. Courses like Carbon Measurement Application Certificate, “City and Guilds - Accredited qualification for Baristas training course” and “Central TAFE - Certificate of Attainment in Enterprise Trainer and Assessor” were most welcomed by the students. In response to Government’s pledge for lifelong education, the Centre will offer more advanced level courses, helping students get higher professional qualification.


港專成人教育中心HKCT Adult Education Centre

第四度獲委任為「指定夜間成人教育課程資助計劃」認可辦學機構2010年6月，本校第四度獲政府委任為上述資助計劃的認可辦學機構，開辦夜中學中一至中七課程，並新增兩間教學中心：英皇書院及筲箕灣官立中學。本校同時舉辦英文專修課程，依照教育局課程綱要，以學術英語為基礎，輔以實用英語的訓練。開辦級別包括小四至中五，上課中心涵蓋港九新界。每級課程為期一年，協助同學打好基礎。

The Fourth Appointment as the Approved Course Provider under the “Financial Assistance Scheme for Designated Evening Adult Education Courses” In June 2010, HKCT was appointed the fourth time as the Approved Course Provider under the “Financial Assistance Scheme for Designated Evening Adult Education Courses” financial assistance scheme. There were two new designated centres, namely King’s College and Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School. The Centre also offered English Courses, which mainly adopted from the Curriculum of the Education Bureau, the courses focus was on academic English, supplemented with practical English. Levels ranged from Primary 4 to Form 5 with learning centres all over Hong Kong. Each level of Course lasted for a year so as to help students have better foundations.

末代會考夜校考生人數大幅增近5成鑒於2010年為最後一屆中學會考，同學紛紛把握最後機會報考，希望循升讀舊制中六途徑，參與高級程度會考，入讀三年制大學。本年度參與會考夜校生考獲優良數目逾百，為歷年之冠。當中，成績最佳的同學更考獲六科績點24分，順利入讀日校中六。

The Number of Evening Secondary School Students Enrolled in the Last HKCEE Increased by 50%As 2010 is the final year for school candidates to apply for the HKCEE, many students grasped this last opportunity to sit for the HKCEE, studying Secondary 6 and the 3-year tertiary education. Our Evening Secondary School students got over one hundred credits or distinctions in the HKCEE, which was the best in our records. The best student got 24 points in the best 6 subjects and was admitted to day school Secondary 6.

新高中課程夜中學於2009年9月開始推行新高中課程。本校提供多個文、理、商選修科，供學員選擇，亦舉辦「其他學習經歷」相關活動，並為每一名同學製作「學生學習概覽」，協助同學日後報讀大學及申請工作時，有更詳盡的學習記錄。同學於新高中第二年，更可選讀港專「應用學習課程」，當中包括「項目策劃及運作」，「資訊娛樂節目製作」、「認識香港法律」及「中小企實用電腦會計」。

舉辦聯校畢業禮成人教育中心繼續為本年度夜中學及英文專修課程畢業生舉辦聯校畢業禮。典禮於2010年7月17日假伊利沙伯中學舉行，而本校亦十分榮幸獲教育局副局長陳維安先生蒞臨主禮，向畢業生致勉辭，令同學及親友留下深刻的回憶。

毅進（兼讀制）課程報讀人數增加毅進（兼讀制）課程報讀科次較去年增加4倍，反映課程大受同學歡迎，其中以「紀律部隊入職訓練證書」報讀人數最多。今年，本校4個中心提供相關課程，並計劃於10-11年第一學期，將學習中心擴展至9個，以便同學有更多選擇。

Increase in Enrollments in Project Yi Jin (Part-time) CoursesThe enrollment for the courses of Project Yi Jin (Part-time) increased 4 folds this year, which showed the popularity of the courses. Amongst them, the course most students applied was the “Certificate in Preparation for Disciplined Services”. This year, we offered Project Yi Jin Course at four centres. In the first semester of 10-11, number of learning centres would be expanded to nine so as to provide more choices for students.

Implementation of New Senior Secondary CurriculumOur Evening Secondary Schools started implementing the new Senior Secondary School Curriculum in September 2009 and providing many electives in arts, science and commerce for students to select. The Centre also organized activities related to ‘Other Learning Experiences’, and prepared for every student a ‘Student Learning Profile’ to help them applying for university and job placement. Moreover, in the second year of New Senior Secondary Course students were also offered chances to take ‘Applied Learning Courses’, such as “Event Planning and Operation”, “Infotainment Production”, ”Understanding Hong Kong Law” and “Practical Accounting for SMEs”.

Joint Schools Graduation CeremonyThe Adult Education Centre once again organized the Joint Schools Graduation Ceremony for Evening Secondary Schools and English Courses. The Ceremony was held at Queen Elizabeth School on July 17, 2010. Mr. Kenneth Chen Wei-on, Under Secretary for the Education Bureau, was cordially invited to give a speech in the Ceremony.


企業與社會服務Enterprise and Social Services

樂活髮舍本校獲民政事務署「伙伴倡自強」社區協作計劃撥款開辦的社會企業 — 樂活髮舍（Lohas Hair），已於2009年12月底正式開業。Lohas Hair座落於將軍澳坑口區，在概念上參考了健康、可持續發展等元素，並貫徹於店內的裝修及營運模式。

樂活髮舍除了需要實踐商業目標，即達致收支平衡及追求盈利之外，還要顧及兩項社會目標 — 為區內青年提供培訓及就業機會，以及服務社區。社企現時正提供5個全職及兩個兼職就業崗位，期間曾為一個髮型訓練課程提供實地訓練，以及培訓了五名區內青年。

將軍澳綜合服務中心本中心結合培訓及社會服務的模式，為將軍澳區居民提供就業支援服務。我們除了提供僱員再培訓局人員發展計劃課程外，更繼續獲僱員再培訓局委託營運「樂活一站」，服務東九龍區的僱主和學員。

另外，獲社區投資共享基金及勞工處撥款，針對區內15-24歲青年的潮Teen H.E.A.之「Teen」賦職能計劃，已投入服務一年。期間成功招納68名青年參加，並為他們提供7個培訓課程及成功為20名參加者配對生命導師。整體來說，不少參加者在態度和能力上持續地進步，並且有不少已成功地在勞動市場工作。中心為參加者安排不同的活動和培訓課程，除加深他們對市場了解外，亦增加他們對各行業的入職要求和工作的認識。此外，參加者之間亦建立了深厚的互助關係，不但會互相傳達市場上的消息，而且亦相約出席不同活動，互相扶持。

Tseung Kwan O Integrated Services CentreTo enhance the employment of Tseung Kwan O dwellers, the Centre provides training and social services to the community by organizing Employment Retraining Board (ERB) Manpower Development Scheme Courses as well as “Smart Living”, which is entrusted by ERB.

The Teen H.E.A. Project, which was jointly sponsored by Community and Investment Inclusion Fund and Labour Department, has been running for more than a year. The Project provided diversified services to help the 15 - to - 24 - year - old Tseung Kwan O dwellers developing their career. It recruited 68 youngsters and arranged 7 vocational training courses. 20 of the participants successfully matched with mentors. With different activities and training courses, the Project enhanced the participants’ understanding of the job market and widened their horizons. As a whole, the participants have made steady progress in both personal attitude and capacities. Many of them have found a permanent job in the market.

Lohas HairLohas Hair located in Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, was opened in the end of December 2009. It was funded by the Home Affairs Department’s Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Programme. The renovation and operation of the Salon were thoroughly incorporated with the concepts of healthy and sustainable development.

Other than achieving the balance of payment, the Salon serves two purposes for the benefits of our society, to provide training and employment opportunities as well as serving the community.

The department is now providing 5 full- time and 2 part-time jobs in the Salon. It is also the training centre for Hair Styling Course. So far, 5 young men in the community have completed their training there.


港專演藝坊作為一個校本企業，港專演藝坊成立的目的是為校內專上課程學生在課餘提供一個發展平台，透過不同類型的才藝訓練及表演，一方面培育學生自信及能力，另一方面透過外間演出機會，讓學生能在實際工作環境中得到鍛練及累積經驗，以提升他們的可聘用性。

本年度港專演藝坊透過一系列的訓練活動，包括演藝才華及舞台幕後工作訓練，成功發掘近20名合水平的新成員。此外，共進行了37次外間表演，當中包婚宴表演、公司及私人宴會表演、星光大道音樂會等。

Talent MillThe purpose of establishing the Talent Mill is to provide our students a development platform after schooling. Through

various training courses and performances, students strengthened their confidence as well as ability. They also accumulated working experiences to enhance their employability in the later days.

The Talent Mill offered a series of training programs in both front and back stages. We have successfully identified about 20 students with skills and talents. The Talent Mill has organized 37 performances in wedding ceremonies, company gathering performances and the Avenue of Stars concerts.

培訓及就業資源中心由僱員再培局委託港專營運，為期兩年的試驗計劃快將完結。在計劃試驗期間平均每日有超過750人次使用中心服務，並累積超過7,600人登記為會員。中心共為會員舉辦超過2,100節的工作坊和小組活動及近150節的招聘及就業活動，並為540多人提供個案管理服務，當中近六成個案成功就業。

Employment Resourse CentreThe Centre is a two-year program entrusted by the Employment Retraining Board. It is near completion. There are 7,600 members registered and more than 750 people using the services every day. The Centre has organized more than 2,100 seminars and small group activities and 150 recruitment events. There are 540 individuals received our counseling service. Nearly 60% of them have successfully found their employment.

Information Service Centre of Professional Studies (ISCOPS)ISCOPS organized the 19th Anniversary Luncheon on December 14, 2009. 香港專業議會秘書處在過去一年，港專作為香港專業議會秘書處，協助議會舉辦了四個持續專業發展專題講座，其中包括「整『裝』待發、重『建』天日」、「綠色採購 — 步入社企責任」、「資歷架構的進度更新」，以及「公司財政縮減不可避免時，僱員如何面對」，涉及不同的專業範疇。

香港專業議會一直與國家外國專家局保持緊密聯繫，秘書處於 2009年9月協助議會組織了15位香港各專業團體的代表前往深圳，分別拜訪了深圳大學及國家培訓中心，向內地相關單位介紹香港專業團體，並促進雙方探討合作項目。2009年11月再次安排了25家香港的專業團體參加由國家外國專局及深圳市人民政府主辦的國際人才交流大會，向內地宣傳香港的專業制度及體制，並加強與內地的合作關係。

Secretariat of the Council of Hong Kong Professional Associations (COPA)Last year, as the Secretariat of the Council of Hong Kong Professional Associations, HKCT has organized four Continued Professional Development Seminars with topics covering a wide spectrum of professional categories. The topics included: “Be Ready for the Urban Renewal Strategy”; “Green Procurement — the Road to Social Corporate Responsibility”; “Progress Update on QF Implementation” as well as “Arbitration in Mainland China – a better alternative to resolving commercial disputes?”

HKCT has always kept a close relationship with the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affair. In September 2009, we assisted a group of 15 representatives from different professional organizations visited and introduced themselves to Shenzhen University and National Training Centre. Two months later, we arranged another 25 professionals from different organizations attended the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals organized by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affair and Shenzhen Government. Through the visits, the professional system of Hong Kong was promoted and the cooperation with Mainland China was enhanced.


「飛躍校園」籌款活動計劃為協助學校拓展校舍規模及未來發展，本校於去年全力進行「飛躍校園」籌款活動計劃，並由校董會成員梁振英博士，GBS，JP，擔任籌款委員會主席。籌款活動包括電影籌款、慈善基金申請、師生、家長及校友募捐等。「飛躍校園」籌款活動啟動後，獲得勞校校友會、勞校教育機構的鼎力支持，在不同途徑及場合積極呼籲及鼓勵校友會員參與及支持，令善款節節上升。

《十月圍城》港專「飛躍校園」電影籌款活動活動於2009年12月18日假UA太古城戲院舉行。當晚星光熠熠，除商界及政界名人外，導演陳德森聯同多位影視紅星現身會場，支持港專。學校師生及家長，以及校董會及校友會成員更扶老攜幼，踴躍購票，將籌款活動氣氛推向高峰。

‘Campus for Tomorrow’ Fund Raising CampaignTo enhance the scale as well as the future development of the campus, HKCT last year started to launch the ‘Campus for Tomorrow’ Fund Raising Campaign, chaired by HKCT Management Board member Dr the Hon Leung Chun Ying, GBS, JP. The fund raising activities included fund-raising movie gala, charity funds applications, donations from teachers, students and parents. With the active support of the Association of Hong Kong Schools For Workers’ Children Alumni and the H.K. Workers’ School Educational Organisation, the amount of proceeds have been increasing steadily.

The fund-raising film ‘Bodyguards and Assassins’ was shown at UA Cityplaza (Taikoo Shing) on December 18, 2009. The Movie Gala was sparkling with the attendance of many celebrities and movie stars. Film director Mr. Teddy Chen also came together with many TV and movie stars. With the active support from the Board, the alumnis, the teachers as well as the students, the Movie Gala was very successful and brought the fund raising Campaign to reach its climax.


社會慈善機構的捐助在籌款計劃進行中，本校更成功獲得香港賽馬會慈善信託基金及慧妍雅集分別贊助港幣680萬及100多萬元，作為翻新馬鞍山校舍、何文田校舍及購置教學設施的費用。

港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園除獲香港賽馬會慈善信託基金的慷慨贊助外，學校更獲馬會同意，將馬鞍山校舍正式命名為「港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園」。為慶賀「港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園」的啟用，學校於10年11月20及21日舉行盛大的「港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園開幕禮及開放日」，讓同學、家長、校友，以及多年來支持學校的合作伙伴及地區團體，全方位認識嶄新的馬鞍山校舍。

開幕禮當日邀請了律政司司長黃仁龍，SC，JP、中央人民政府駐香港特別行政區聯絡辦公室副主任王志民先生、香港賽馬會董事陳南祿，SBS，JP、行政會議非官守議員召集人暨港專飛躍校園籌款委員會主席梁振英先生，GBS，JP、立法會議員暨港專校董會主席譚耀宗議員，GBS，JP，以及菲律賓僑領兼港專榮譽校董林國良先生等嘉賓主禮及一同參與祝酒儀式。

在開幕禮中，各主禮嘉賓在台下眾嘉賓及師生的見證下，為校園牌匾揭幕，標誌著「港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園」正式啟用。在典禮完結後，各主禮嘉賓在港專校董會及校務會成員的陪同下，參觀校舍多項嶄新的設施、課程展覽，以及欣賞學生精彩表演，體驗港專的教學特色及學生的校園生活。

馬鞍山校舍總面積超過45,000平方呎，可容納1,000多名高等教育全日制學生。「港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園」設計以年青人充滿活力為主調，配以嶄新的設計及多項現代化的教學設施，當中的教學設施除演講廳、圖書館外，更配置因應不同學科而設計的多個專用教學室，包括數碼藝術設計工作間、模擬機艙及酒店客房、資訊科技研習室等。

新校舍是港專推動優質高等教育一項重要里程，亦擔起推動港專高等教育發展的使命，發展計劃包括推出多項學位課程；與本地和海外高等院校和專業學會進行合作項目；並推動師生與馬鞍山區內居民合作及交流等。

港專慧妍雅集大專教學樓此外，學校亦於2010年7月獲慧妍雅集支持，同意贊助逾港幣100萬元，作為何文田校舍的改建費用。而何文田校舍將命名為「港專慧妍雅集大專教學樓」。

校舍，佔地約2,000平方米，於本年9月正式啟用。校舍除添置多個專為修讀毅進課程學生而設的教學活動室外，亦特別配置多項嶄新設施，包括「創意活力學習中心」、「學生發展中心」及「多元學生活動室」，為學生提供更完善學習環境。此外，為培養學生全人發展，中心亦連結學生發展部，定期安排專業社工及輔導員長駐校舍，提供支援及培訓服務。

除贊助校舍改建費用外，學校亦計劃與慧妍雅集的會員於新學年為修讀毅進及通用文憑學生提供一系列分享講座及外地交流活動，提升他們的自信心及自我學習能力；另一方面亦安排學生參與慧妍雅集各項社會及公益活動，擴闊他們的眼界及人際技巧，為未來升學及就業打好基礎。

3736突破創新，飛躍新里程 A Breakthrough to The New Milestone

Donations from charitable organizationsHKCT successfully obtained from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and Wai Yin Association the donations of HKD6.8 millions and HKD1 to 1.5 millions respectively. The donations were used to renovate and purchase teaching facilities for the new Ma On Shan Campus and Ho Man Tin Campus.

Legislative Council and Mr. Joseph Lim, the Honorary Member of HKCT Management Board were cordially invited as the officiating guests and participate in the toasting of the opening ceremony of HKCT Jockey Club Campus.

With the companions of HKCT students, teachers and guests, the guests unveiled the plaque of the HKCT Jockey Club Ma On Shan Campus to celebrate the inauguration of the Ma On Shan Campus as well as the College reaching its new milestone. After the Ceremony, the guests toured the Campus with the company of the members of Management and Executive Boards of HKCT. They visited the new facilities, booths and enjoyed the students talent shows.

HKCT Jockey Club Ma On Shan CampusApart from the donations, the College has got the approval of The Hong Kong Jockey Club to name Ma On Shan Campus as ‘HKCT Jockey Club Ma On Shan Campus’. To celebrate the opening of the Campus and introduce it to students, parents, partners and the community, a solemn Opening Ceremony and Open Day were organized on November 20 and 21, 2010.

HKCT Jockey Club Ma On Shan Campus covers over 45,000 sq. feet, which can accommodate more than 1,000 full-time sub-degree students. The Campus is young and energetic, and equipped with newly designed and modernized teaching facilities. Apart from lecture theatre and library, there are many special teaching rooms designed for different subjects such as digital art design workshop, mock-up cabin, hotel room as well information technology laboratory.

The HKCT Jockey Club Ma On Shan Campus is the milestone of the College in promoting its higher education. It plans to provide more bachelor degree courses, team up with local and overseas institutions for collaborative projects and promote more interactions between Ma On Shan residents and the College.

HKCT Wai Yin Association Post-Secondary Education InstitutionIn July 2009, Wai Yin Association agreed to donate one million dollars to HKCT for Ho Man Tin Campus renovation. The new Campus will be re-named as ‘Hong Kong College of Technology Wai Yin Association Post-Secondary Education Institution’.

Ho Man Tin Campus has been opened in September 2010. The area of the Campus is about 2,000 sq. meters. As the Headquarter of HKCT Project Yi Jin Programmes, it houses Creative Learning Centre, Students Development Centre, and many teaching and Multi-Functional rooms, specially designed for Yi Jin Project students. Moreover, in order to enhance the holistic development of the students, social workers and counselors have been stationed at the Campus to provide training and assistance for the students.

In addition to the donations, HKCT has planned to work with Wai Yin Association to provide Yi Jin Project and diploma students with seminars and exchange programs. And students, on the other hand, are encouraged and arranged to participate in the charity activities organized by Wai Yin Association. By doing so, students can enhance their confidence and self learning ability and widen their horizons. Students will be benefited in their further study and future employment.

3938突破創新，飛躍新里程 A Breakthrough to The New Milestone

港專一直致力回饋社會，為社會各界提供多方面的溝通渠道，了解學校理念，推動教育發展。去年，本校成功舉辦多項大型活動，除年度的中學校際歌唱大賽外，亦特別關顧末代會考生的需要，推出多項支援服務，獲社會的廣泛支持。

HKCT has always strived to reward the society. A variety of channels have been established to communicate with the public to promote our vision in education. Last year, the College has organized many activities and competitions. In addition to the Inter-secondary School Singing Contest, there were activities catering the needs of the last HKCEE students, which have garnered an overwhelming support from the society.

全港中學校際歌唱大賽2010一如往年，港專再度舉辦的「全港中學校際歌唱大賽」踏入第五年，主題為「唱造奇妙旅程」，讓年青人發揮潛能，提升自信心和創造力，從而建立正面的自我形象。比賽報名人數刷新紀錄，共吸引來自200所中學、580位學生報名參加。本校更夥拍新城知訊台加強推廣，讓活動更具規模，接觸更多社會大眾。活動決賽於2010年3月21日，假將軍澳東港城隆重舉行。當日，香港電台助理廣播處長（電台）戴健文先生、教育局局長政治助理楊哲安先生、香港特區政府行政會議非官守議員召集人暨港專校董梁振英博士, GBS, JP及校長陳卓禧博士等擔任主禮嘉賓，為這班熱愛唱歌的年青人打氣。歌手鍾舒漫、陳柏宇、Rubber Band及李治廷則應邀擔任決賽表演嘉賓，令活動生色不少。

Inter-Secondary Schools Singing Contest 2010HKCT has organized the Inter-Secondary Schools Singing Contest, it has been entered its fifth year in 2010. The theme of this year was “Singing for an Amazing Journey”. The Contest unprecedentedly attracted over 580 students from 200 secondary schools, which gave students opportunities to demonstrate their talents, strengthen self-confidence, promote creativity and build up self-esteem. The scale of the Contest has been given a boost with the partnership with Metro Info of Metro Broadcast. The final competition was held on March 21, 2010 at East Point City, Tseung Kwan O, in which Mr. Tai Keen Man, Assistant Director (Radio) of Radio Television Hong Kong, Mr Jeremy Young. Political Assistant to Secretary for Education, Dr. the Hon Leung Chun-ying, GBS, JP, Executive Council Convener and member of Management Boards of HKCT and Dr Chan Cheuk Hay, the Principal & President of HKCT as the officiating guests. Moreover, singers such as Sherman Chung, Jason Chan, Rubber Band and Aarif Lee were also invited to perform during the Contest.


末代會考生家長支援服務末代會考生出路成為社會關注的議題，港專特別關注末代會考生家長需要，推出多項支援服務，協助家長為子女及早籌謀合適出路。本校於2010年6月20日在基督教家庭服務中心禮堂舉辦「撐考生．迎放榜」末代考生出路講座。當日，更特別邀請學友社學生輔導中心總幹事列豪章先生應邀擔任主講嘉賓，與學生分享最新升學資料。此外，在講座舉行前，港專特別進行一項「末代會考生家長支援服務需要」調查，當中發現，考生家長的需要一直被忽略，他們大部分根本不知道社會提供哪些支援服務，是次調查結果更獲得傳媒的廣泛報導。為協助「末代會考生家長」，港專推出一系列家長支援服務，包括出版「末代會考生家長支援指南」，為家長提供會考生最新升學及就業策略，介紹3-3-4新學制、新中學文憑考試及家長減壓心得，以及與地區組織及政黨，包括觀塘創建聯盟、民建聯觀塘、黃大仙、西貢將軍澳、沙田馬鞍山等支部，超過50多位區議員合作，舉行多場「免費地區家長講座」，為家長提供升學諮詢。

為解答家長及考生升學疑難及方便他們以最快時間獲取升學資訊，港專亦推出「末代考生起錨 Facebook」專頁，用戶逾千。

Support Services to the Parents of the Last HKCEE StudentsThe future of the last HKCEE students has become the matter of concern from the parents and the society. As such, HKCT has organized the “All Support You, Get Prepared for HKCEE Results Release” Seminar at the Christian family Service Centre on June 20, 2010 to cater to their needs. Mr. Lit Ho Cheung, Director of Hok Yau Club Student Guidance Centre was invited as the guest speaker to share the information about further studies. Before the Seminar, HKCT has conducted a survey of “Support for Parents of HKCEE students”, which reflected that the needs of the students’ parents were being ignored, and most of them did not realize there were support available in the society. The survey results were extensively publicized by the media. To assist and provide information to the parents, the College has come up with a series of initiatives, such as publishing the “Parents of the last HKCEE students Guidebook”, which provided parents with useful information on helping their children to plan their studies and careers, 3-3-4 New Senior Secondary (NSS) Curriculum and Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination as well as stress management tips . Furthermore, the College has co-operated with more than 50 District Council members, the community organizations and political parties, including Kwun Tong Community Builders Alliance, Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong branches offices on Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin, Sai Kung, Tseung Kwan O, Sha Tin, Ma On Shan to organize many free seminars.

Moreover, to answer directly the questions of the students and parents, the College has also launched a special “HKCEE Student Facebook” section in its website, with more than 1,000 users registered.

「校園Go Go Goal」廣播劇港專特別與新城電台推出全港首個為末代會考生而設的廣播劇「校園Go Go Goal」。該廣播劇於2010年6月25日起，一連13個星期於新城知訊台人氣節目《新香蕉俱樂部》內播出。廣播劇將邀得多位人氣歌手與DJ參與演出，故事圍繞多位主角的校園生活為主題，從中帶出年青人如何循各種專業進修途徑，選擇合適的發展方向，朝著未來理想邁步。

“Campus Go Go Goal” Radio DramaThe College has designed and launched Hong Kong’s first radio drama targeted at the last HKCEE students. The radio drama “Campus Go Go Goal” consisted of 13 weekly episodes commenced on June 25, 2010 at Metroinfo, Metro Broadcasting. The Drama featured students who successfully selected their future paths and finally achieved their goals of excellence. Several renowned pop singers and DJs were invited to perform in the Drama.


「馬鞍山Smiling Faces攝影比賽」本校亦於去年首次舉辦馬鞍山社區活動，在2010年4月舉辦一項名為「馬鞍山Smiling Faces攝影比賽」，藉此向馬鞍山居民提倡身心健康，宣揚社區關愛、和諧的信息。

比賽分公開組及中學組兩大組別，更邀請本地著名攝影師為參加者安排免費攝影講座，分享攝影專業技巧及交流心得。此外，活動分別獲得「沙田區中學校長會」及「馬鞍山民康促進會」的支持，成功吸引不少區內居民及學生報名參加。

參賽者作品創意及水準非凡，成功帶出比賽主題，展現馬鞍山為歡欣滿溢的社區。「馬鞍山Smiling Faces攝影比賽」的頒獎禮於「港專賽馬會馬鞍山校園」啟動禮中舉行，並由「沙田區中學校長會主席」周厚峰校長及港專副校長陳根錦博士擔任頒獎嘉賓。

Ma On Shan Smiling Faces Photo ContestIn April 2010, the College has organized the “Ma On Shan Smiling Faces Photo Contest”. This was HKCT’s first community activity in Ma On Shan. The Contest aimed to promote the healthy mind and body for the residents by advocating care and harmony in the community.

The standard of the works were remarkable which successfully brought out the essence of a happy community. The “Ma On Shan Smiling Faces Photo Contest” Award Presentation Ceremony was held at the Opening Ceremony of HKCT Jockey Club Campus with Principal Mr. Chow Hau Fung, the Chairman of Shatin District Secondary School Heads Association and Dr Chan Kan Kam, the Vice Principle of HKCT were invited to present the awards to the winners.
