Feb 5th, CJMS 6th graders won first place in the Wenatchee Region "Math Is Cool" team competition. Here's a picture of the proud CJMS 6th graders, taken by Phil Townsend. Standing, from left to right: Iris Rasmussen(daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Juergen Rasmussen), Diana Wang (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Xuebin Wang),Ryan Wang (Son of Mr. & Mrs. Zhemin Wang) , Michael Townsend, Tournament Director Karen Rutherford, and Yun-A Kwak. Kneeling: Ellie Hoffner. The 1st place plaque was proudly placed in the school trophy case. In addition, Iris Rasmussen won 1st place for Chief Jo 6ht Grade Spelling Bee contest, and she also won 2nd place for Mid-Columbia League.

Michelle Chou is the winner of Primary Piano Division in 2010 51st Annual Mid-Columbia Symphony Young Artist Competition. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Chou.

Diana is the winner of Intermediate Strings Division in 2010 51st Annual Mid-Columbia Symphony Young Artist Competition. She also is the Overall Winner for Violin in the 2010 Young Artist Music Competition. This is the second time Diana received this title. Diana studies Violin under Mr. Frank Lu. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Xuebin Wang.

Emily Tan Participated in Math is Cool Competition and received 6th place. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reimin Tan.

Liliana Rasmussen won 1st place for Chief Jo 8th Grade Spelling Bee contestand received a 4th place for Mid-Columbia League. Liliana is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Juergen Rasmussen)

Virginia Kuan Participated 2010 PTA Reflections Competition in Richland School District and received 1st place in Literature. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hung Kuan.
