Te Biblical and Liturgical Memorial

This article gives a theological examination of the cultic meaning of theconcept of memorial (zikkaron) in relation to God, and how the liturgical

memorial renders present the past actions of God as a living reality for the

worshiper (the idea of re-living the Sacred Actions of God).When God causes something to be remembered it should not be seen

as a purely spiritual, emotional or psychological act, but as the ontologicalactualization of the event from the Salvation History.

In this liturgical remembrance we have a fusion of past and present and theeschatological transformation of the time.
