Testing yourself. Do it on regular intervals. The words you learn on a day, check that you still remember them: later that day, the next day, a week later and a month later.

Memorizing a Vocabulary List with Cards. 1)Get out your list of vocabulary and definitions. 2) Write the definitions. 3) Quiz yourself! 4) Continue until you are comfortable with all the words.

Learn one word per day. It’s just one word, but you need to be constant.

LANGUAGE AND CULTURE Language : Hebrew is a West

Semitic language. It is the

language of the Israelites and

their ancestors. The language

was not called Hebrew in the

past. Modern Hebrew is one of

the two official

languages of Israel.

CHOOSING A NEW LANGUAGE When you choose a new language, you should

think about…

o The Availability. If there are resources, it will

be easier to study.

o Its usefulness. If there are many native

speakers and if it is spoken in many countries,

then it will be a very useful language.

o The difficulty. If it is very difficult, you will loose

motivation. Every language has different set

of challenges (spelling, grammar,

pronunciation, etc).
