    1. AWS D1.1 Code

    a.  All weld shall be visually inspected and shall be acceptable if the criteria of Table 6.1 are satisfied

    - Attachment 1 (table 6.1)

    b. visual inspection (4.9.1)

    - visual inspection of groove welds.

    (1) Any crack shall be unacceptable, regardless of size.

    (2) All craters shall be filled to the full cross section of the weld.

    (3) Weld reinforcement shall not exeed 3mm(1/8 in). The weld profile shall conform to Figure 5.4 and sh-

    all have complete fusion.

    (4) Undercut shall not exceed 1mm(1/32 in).(5) The weld root for CJP grooves shall be inspected, and not have any cracks, incomplete fusion, or in-

    adequate ioint penetration.

    (6) For CJP grooves welded from one sidewithout backing. Root concavity or melt through shall conform

    to the following :

    (a) The maximum root cincavity shall be 2mm(1/16 in), provided the total weld thickness is equal to or 

     greater than that of the base metal.

    (b) The macimum melt-through shall be 3mm(1/8 in) except for tubular T-, Y-, and K- cinnections, w-

    here melt througt is not limited.

    - visual inspection of fillet welds.

    (1) Any crack shall be unacceptable, regardless of size.

    (2) All craters shall be filled to the full cross section of the weld.

    (3) The fillet weld leg sizes shall be less than the required leg sizes. ⓐ

    (4) The weld profile shall meet the requirements of Figure 5.4.

    (5) Base metal undercut shall not exceed 1mm(1/32in).

    a. 모든 용접부는 Table 6.1 기준으로 검사하여 만족하여야 한다. (6.9)

    - 붙임 문서 1 참조(table 6.1)

    b. 용접사에 대한 외관검사 (4.9.1)

    - 구루브 용접에 대한 외관검사

    (1) 어떤 크랙이던 허용하지 않는다.

    (2) 크래이터 처리 등을 확인 하여 모든 부위가 완전히 채워져야 한다.

    (3) 용접여성이 3mm를 넘어서는 안된다. 하지만 붙임 문서 2를 참조하여 두께에 따른 차이를 확인이 필요

    하다. 두께가 두꺼울 경우 기준은 상향한다. 하고 두께가 작을 경우 하향한다.

    *붙임 문서 2 참조 (table 5.9, 5.10 and figure 5.4)

    (4) 언더컷의 경우 모재를 기준으로 1mm를 넘어서는 안된다.(5) CJP joint 의 경우 루트부를 특히 잘 관찰하여 어떠한 크랙이나 용입부족이 없어야 한다.

    (6) CJT joint 의 백킹이 없을 경우 다음을 따른다.

    (a) 루트 오목부가 2mm를 넘어서는 안된다. 모재의 두께선상을 기준으로 한다.

    (b) 용락의 경우 최대 3mm까지 허용한다. 하지만 T-, Y- 그리고 K- 형상의 결합일 경우 그 이상도 허용.

    - 필렛 용접에 대한 외관검사

    (1) 어떤 크랙이던 허용하지 않는다.

    (2) 크래이터 처리 등을 확인 하여 모든 부위가 완전히 채워져야 한다.

    (3) 각장이 용접부의 최소 각장 보다 커야한다. ㉠

    (4) 용접여성이 3mm를 넘어서는 안된다. 하지만 붙임 문서 2를 참조하여 두께에 따른 차이를 확인이 필요

    하다. 두께가 두꺼울 경우 기준은 상향한다. 하고 두께가 작을 경우 하향한다.
