Tarasava T.M. Menippeah and Existential Problems of a Modern Man in the Works of Y. Stankevich and M. Houellebecg

The article deals with the role of a menippeah in disclosing the existential problems in Y. Stanke-

vichs story Besopotamus and in M. Houellebecgs novel Elementary particles. The investigation of the works of French and Belarusian writers in the light of a menippeah play enabled the author of the article to explain the insufficiently explored questions of the menippeah semantics in the modern prose, as well as to discover its style dominants.

Yanovets V.I. Subject as an Expressive Means of a Dramatics The relations between a subject and a hero in a dramatics are explored in the article. The author

analyses the aesthetic function of the subject and attempts to define it as a leading category in drama. He also presents the classification of subjects which is based on the analysis of major classical and modern dramatic works.

Nekrashevich-Karotkaja Zh.V. I Yield to No One: New Aspects of Studying of Mikalai Hou-

sowskys works In this article we examine a complex of literary questions connected with the elucidation of the

creative concept of one of the most important Renaissance literature works the poem The song about the appearance and the wildness of an aurochs and the hunting for it (Krakov, 1523) by Mikalai Hou-sowsky. These questions are elucidated on the basis of the analysis of the original text as well as in the light of the opinions of Belarusian and foreign experts on Mikalai Housowskys works. The main atten-tion is paid to the peculiarity of poetic dimensions and to the role of the verbs of movement for the dy-namic artistic creation. We suggest the original concept of the compositional reading of the text. The object of the artistic description in the poem, which has been widely discussed recently, is being con-sidered as well. The image-bearing symbols and thematic dominant idea of the poem are examined in the light of the authors aesthetic programme. The conclusions made in the article are about the peculiar features of the authors artistic methods which are confronted with the aesthetic ideas of his contempo-rary first-printer Francysc Skaryna. In the article we present different interpretations of artistic under-standing of The song about the aurochs including not mentioned earlier concepts of foreign scientists such as Thomas Veteikis, Kshyshtof Koehler, Andrij Sodomora.

Chumakevich E.V. Postrealism in the Modern Russian Prose: D. Rubinas and L. Ulitskaja's novels The article considers D. Rubina's novel On the solar side of the street and L. Ulitskajas Daniel

Stein, the interpreter, which were awarded the literary prize of Russia - The Great Book for 2007 (the third and the first accordingly). The features of post-realism similar in these works are investigated here; the connection between these two novels is convincingly shown both of them cover an epoch of the war of 1941-1945 and post-war decades right up to our days. Both writers managed to create the unique psychological epos : in D.Rubina's novel the best and the worst in the soviet man are shown by the examples of the portraits and fragments of old Tashkent citizens fates; L. Ulitskaja's book about Christian priest Daniel Stein investigates the problems of belief and nationality on a global scale.

Hrytsuk L. The Beginning of the Genre of Elegy: Historical and Theoretical aspect The article considers the origin of such genre as elegy. A sad poem developed fast and reached

its fullest flower in the creative work of ancient Greek poets (Kallin, Theognis, Solon, Mimnerm) and ancient Roman poets (Katulus, Tibulus, Propertsius, Ovidius). The influence of the ancient elegy on the creative works of the Medieval poets and the authors of the later centuries is shown in the article.

Mishchenchuk N.I., Marchankava A.G. Creative Work of Nickolai Gumilev The originality of Nickolai Gumilevs lyrics is revealed in this article. The author of the paper

shows the realization of the principles of modernistic writing of the Silver Age in the poets works. The poetry of the talented author was not a monotonous phenomenon. It developed from the exotic, unusual

63writing, though connected with the natural living fundamental principle, to the harmonic, verisimilar, balanced, realistic writing. The truth of our concept is proved by the analysis of the poems Ragamuf-fin, The Suez Canal, redo, Romantic Flowers, Imitation to Persian. The analysis is made on several levels: content-subject, imaginative, verbal-descriptive, rhythmic-intonation, contextual-comparative. The attention is paid not only to the literary works, estimated by critics, but also to the works which are not regarded so far.

Nickolai Gumilevs poetry is conditionally divided into three periods: early (initial), intermediate and final. Each period is characterised by its distinctive features, but one peculiarity the natural living fundamental principle is the dominant nucleus of the whole poetry of N. Gumilev.

hesitation. The article highlights emotional, cognitive, communicative and interactive sources of hesita-tion and reveals the role of particles as metadiscourse units which help communicants to overcome the hesitation as one of the difficult points of interaction.

Furashova N.V. Nature Images in the Meaning of German Verbs The article highlights the nature images (movements, events, vital functions of creatures etc.)

which serve as a basis for the formation of action verbs meaning. The developing of the world by a per-son is presented in the language as the causation of transformations connected with the cognition of natural objects and further involvement of new objects into the created scheme of actions. Such enrich-ment of knowledge structures can lead to the stretch of verb meanings and the creation of notions which belong to a very high level of abstraction. These are the concepts and conceptual structures which are widely used by a modern person. Thus language has sensory images as its basis formed at the first stages of world cognition, and the manipulation of these images makes it possible for consciousness to go beyond the limits of real experience and build conceptual structures, the existence of which without language is impossible.
