Update Report about Shangal crisis and IDPs in Kurdistan

This report covered new and situa on of Shangal and IDPs crisis un l 16th August, 2014.

During yesterday and today ISIS began genocide crimes against Ezidiea civilian people.

After controlling Qasab and Kocho villages by ISIS (these villages are Ezidies villages related to Shangal), they control and arrest all the people from these villages and put many them in one place. ISIS last week informed the Ezidies people forcedly they have to convert their religion and became Muslim. ISIS put a deadline for them. The deadline last Sunday and during yesterday and today ISIS killed more than 300 men of Ezidies from men oned villages. According to some other sources and some CSOs activists near these villages ISIS killed thousands of Ezidies people, even women and child as well.

One of survivor who wounded and after that he made himself like death body after ISIS shot them and he escaped later. He said that ISIS killed many Ezidies people and among these people were children and very you people.

Yesterday though phone call to Rudaw TV from one women who kidnapped by ISIS said that ISIS killing their men and taking female and child. She said; we are about 200 lady and women in this place (she said I think we are in Tala'far). This woman said ISIS coming every day and selecting beautiful girl among as and taking to their Amirs (leaders).

IDPs situation

The situation of IDPs in general is very bad and difficult, especially in Duhok and Sharia area.

According to our volunteers young people (Now they have a committee and they are registering and helping IDPs) that there are 22.000 Ezidies IDPs in Sharia and they are in need. Despite the fact that the number of the population in Sharia were 12 000 people before this crisis.

According to official sources the number of IDPs it more than 2 million in Kurdistan region.

In Duhok IDPs and Sharia replaced in schools, parks, streets and even in university and institutions buildings.

According to Duhok and Erbil hospitals, most of IDPs child are seek and suffer from psychiatric and hysteria, in addition spread of many diseases among the displaced people.
