Tsinghua University Law School was established in 1929. In 1952, it was merged into Peking University and other universities due to the restructuring of higher education in China. The Department of Law was re-established in 1995, and the School of Law was rehabilitated in 1999. Since that, it has enjoyed remarkable growth in prominence.

Now, Tsinghua University School of Law have more than 60 faculty members, most of them have studied or taught in foreign countries. It hosts more than 1,300 students in various undergraduate and graduate programs, over 15% of them are foreign students. In 2012, Tsinghua Law School is ranked 26th in the QS world ranking of law schools, and is the only Chinese law school to make the top 50 QS World University Rankings for law. Tsinghua Law School also has the China’s first English-language LL.M. program on Chinese law, attracting top scholars and students from the globe, and enriching its international education experience.

Intellectual Property (IP) system have become one of the essential tools in shaping the world economic order in the era of knowledge economy and globalization. After decades of rapid growth, China has ensure a worldwide pivotal position. Learning, using, even changing the IP rules of world market, has become a vital task for China’s business and government. As a national leading law school, Tsinghua University School of Law is willing to contribute its strength. The “International Intellectual Property Course” (hereinafter referred to as "the course") is designed to cultivate the top talents of foreign IP issues.

The course provides essential curriculums in international IP law, and is taught by leading practitioners and professors, all of whom have abundant invaluable experience and comprehensive insight in the field of international IP. It will offer a unique blend of academic and practical training in a broad range of subjects related to international IP laws. The course aims to provide a challenge for students to have in-depth understanding in the subject and knowledge of international IP regulations in different countries as well as international agreements. The course will be conducted by way of lectures as well as group discussions all in English, pushing students to adapt the international communication environment. The course will also provide opportunity to study or practice in foreign law school, international law firms and international organizations.

Graduates of this course will have a solid foundation in legal system and a wealth of knowledge in international IP system. In the foreseeable future, they will certainly become backbones in the field of China’s IP Law.

FENG, XIANGThe Mei Ru’ao Chair Professor in Law, Co-Director of International Intellectual Property Law Course,at Tsinghua University School of Law

Prof. Feng was educated at Kunming Teachers College for B.A., Peking University for M.A. , he also recieved Ph.D from Harvard and J.D. from Yale.

Prof. Feng joined Tsinghua School of Law in 2009. Prior to that, he was an Associate Professor at Faculty of Law of The University of Hong Kong (1993-99), and a Visiting Professor at Harvard Law School (2001-02).His research area covered widely from the relations between Law, Literature, Religion and Ethics, to Intellectual Property and Competition Law.

Prof. Feng has written extensively on law, religion, biblical studies, professional ethics and western literature, both classical and medieval, including: , "Intellectual Property in China", "Wooden-legged Justice", "Ynis Gutrin: King Arthur in China", "Essays on Politics and Law", "Letters to Kuan Kuan and Exodus". PAUL C. B. LIUEmeritus Professor, at Taiwan Chengchi University Co-Director of the International Intellectual Property Course, at Tsinghua University, School of Law

Professor Paul C. B. Liu is the Chairman of Cornerstone Intellectual Property Foundation, the President of Asia Pacific Legal Institute and an adjunct professor of University of Washington.

Professor Liu served as the founding Director of the Graduate Institute of Intellectual Property and of the Center for Technology Policy and Law at the National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Prior to the establishment of IIP, Professor Liu served as the Director of the Graduate Institute of Technology and Innovation Management. Besides that, he served as the advisor of Presidential Science Advisory Council in Taiwan.

Professor Liu is also an honorary professor at various universities and gives lectures at many institutions around the world, including Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai University, East China University of Political Science and Law, Zhongnan University of Economic and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China, Tokyo University and Waseda University in Japan, University of Washington, George Washington University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Business School of University of Washington.

JohN R. ALISoNPartner, Finnegan

John Alison has handled U.S. patent infringement cases for over 25 years primarily focusing in semiconductors, optoelectronics, and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Alison has participated in more than 100 patent, trade secret, and trademark litigations filed in U.S. district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and state courts, and in appeals to the U.S. Courts. He has served as trial counsel for semiconductor, optoelectronic, and telecommunications clients in the greater China region including HTC, S3 Graphics, Seoul Semiconductor, etc. and for pioneering U.S. technology companies Texas Instruments and Xerox. He has served as trial counsel in pharmaceutical and biotechnology cases for Eli Lilly and Company, GlaxoSmithKline, Wyeth, and others.

From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Alison served as resident managing partner of Finnegan's Taipei office, the Fei Han Foreign Legal Affairs Law Firm. He currently teaches as an associate professor at Taiwan's Graduate Institute of Intellectual Property Management at National ChengChi University and also serves as Guest Research Fellow at Peking University's Institute of International Intellectual Property Protection. Previously he served as an associate professor at National Chiao Tung University's Institute for Technology Law. Mr. Alison served as law clerk to Chief Judge Howard T. Markey of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit from 1984 to 1986.

Joseph P. Liu writes and teaches in the areas of copyright, trademark, property, and internet law.

Professor Liu has published extensively on copyright law issues in many law journals, and is the co-author of the casebook, Copyright Law: Essential Cases and Materials.

Prior to joining the Boston College Law School faculty in 2001, Professor Liu was an Assistant Professor at U.C. Hastings College of Law (2000-01) and a Climenko Teaching Fellow at Harvard Law School (1997-98). Professor Liu previously practiced in Boston at Foley Hoag & Eliot. He also served for several years as Vice President and General Counsel to BuyerZone.com. He has consulted on a number of cases involving copyright law and digital technology.

Professor Liu received the Bachelor in physics and philosophy from Yale University at 1989, J.D. from Columbia University at 1994, and L.L.M from Harvard Law School. He was the editor-in-chief of Columbia Law Review from 1993-1994. He also served as law clerk to Judge Levin H. Campbell of the U. S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit from 1994 to 1995.

MARTIN J. ADELMANProfessor of Law,Co-Director of the Intellectual Property Law Program,Co-Director of the Dean Dinwoodey Center for Intellectual Property Studies, at George Washington University Law School

Professor Adelman has testified either by deposition or at trial as an expert in patent law and practice in about 190 patent infringement cases. He was one of the co-authors, and currently is the sole author, of the continuously updated nine volume treatise on patent law entitled Patent Law Perspectives and available electronically through LEXIS. He is a co-author of Cases and Materials on Patent Law, Third Edition and Adelman, Rader, and Klancnik's Patent Law in a Nutshell (Nutshell Series).

Professor Adelman received his B.A. (1958), M.S. (1959), and J.D. (1962) from University of Michigan.

Prof. Cui worked as full-time teacher in Tsinghua University School of Law, teaching Chinese Patent Law, Intellectual Property Law, Intellectual Property Licensing, Advanced IP Topics, and Chinese Civil Law. His research focus on Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law and Property Law.

Before became a professor, He was a lawyer worked at Beijing KangDa Law Firm, Shanghai Office (2000-02), and practiced at Cohen Pontani Lieberman & Pavane LLP (CPLP) in 2001. He was a visiting scholar to The George Washington University, and practiced in U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. (2008-09)

LIU, XIAoChUNLecturer,at Law Faculty of China Youth University for Political Sciences

Xiaochun Liu is now teaching in Law Faculty of China Youth University for Political Sciences. She received her PhD in Law from Peking University in 2009, LL.M from Southern Methodist University in 2004, and Bachelor in Law from Peking University in 2001. She is now also a Guest Researcher at Institute for International Intellectual Property of Peking University and a Researcher in Peking University Internet Law Research Center. Her research fields including intellectual property law, internet law, etc., and has published various papers on topics of internet copyright, patent and technical standard and intersection of intellectual property and anti-monopoly law. The courses she has been teaching include intellectual property law, civil law and foreign law seminar (taught in English).

JANE K. WINNCharles I. Stone Professor of Law, at University of Washington, School of Law

Professor Winn, of the Law, Technology & Arts Group and a Fulbright Scholar, is a leading international authority on electronic commerce law and technological and governance issues surrounding information security.

Professor Winn received the B.S. from Queen Mary College, University of London at 1980, and J.D. from Harvard University at 1987.She is author or co-author of numerous publications in electronic commerce law, such as “The Law of Electronic Commerce” (4th ed. Aspen 2001), “Electronic Commerce” (2d ed. Aspen 2005).

JoSEPh J.R. STRAUSProfessor of Law, at Universities of Munich and LjubljanaVisiting Professor of International and Comparative Law, at George Washington University Law School

Professor Straus is a professor of law at the Universities of Munich and Ljubljana, and former director of the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law in Munich. He is also an honorary professor and honorary director of the Intellectual Property Institute at Tongji University in Shanghai, at the Chinese-German Institute of Intellectual Property at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, and at Xiamen Univeristy.

In 2000, he was the first non-scientist to win the Science Award of the Foundation for German Science. He also has been awarded two honorary doctorate degrees, awarded the Venice IP Award, and inducted into IAM IP Hall of Fame.

Professor Straus is vice president of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, chair of the Law Section of Academia Europaea, corresponding member of Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, vice president of the German Association for Intellectual Property, and chair of the Standing Committee on Intellectual Property Rights of the Federation of European Academies of Science.

RANDALL R. RADER Chief Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit

Randall R. Rader was appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit by President George H. W. Bush in 1990 and assumed the duties of Chief Circuit Judge on June 1, 2010.

Chief Judge Rader’s most prized title may well be “Professor Rader.” As Professor, Chief Judge Rader has taught courses on patent law and other advanced intellectual property courses at George Washington University Law School, University of Virginia School of Law, Georgetown University Law Center, the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center, and other university programs in Tokyo, Taipei, New Delhi, and Beijing.

Chief Judge Rader has also co-authored several texts including the most widely used textbook on U. S. patent law, “Cases and Materials on Patent Law” and “Patent Law in a Nutshell”. Chief Judge Rader has won acclaim for leading dozens of government and educational delegations to every continent (except Antarctica), teaching rule of law and intellectual property law principles.

清华大学法学院简介1清华大学法学院始建于1929年。1952年,全国大学院系调整,清华法政院系被撤

在本项目中,清华大学法学院充分发挥其国际化优势,邀请国际知名的知识产权法官、律师与学者,开设国际知识产权法各个方向的核心课程。这些课程不仅能够帮助学生掌握国际知识产权法的基本原理和核心规则,并且将开阔学生的视野,使其了解国际知识产权法的最新发展趋势。本项目的核心课程均为英文讲授,对学生而言既是挑战也是机遇:课前阅读英文材料,课上英语交流,能够让学生尽快适应国际交流的语言环境。清华大学法学院还积极为本项目的学生创造去国外法学院、国际律师事务所和国际组织学习或实习的机会。

刘教授现任台湾地区财团法人磐安智慧财产教育基金会(CIPF)董事长、美国亚太法学研究院(APLI)院长及华盛顿大学商学院兼任教授。

刘教授曾任政治大学智慧财产研究所所长及政治大学科技政策与法律研究中心主任。在创设政大智财所之前,刘教授曾担任政治大学科技管理研究所所长。此外,刘教授还曾担任总统府科技咨询委员会科技法规研议组召集人。

刘教授也担任多国大学、机构的讲座及荣誉教授,并在大陆及国际知名大学讲学及担任访问学者,包括北京大学、中国科学院、上海大学、华东政法学院、中南财经政法大学、西安交通大学、西南政法大学及厦门大学;日本东京大学及早稻田大学;美国华盛顿大学、乔治华盛顿大学及麻省理工学院等。

冯象,上海人。少年负笈云南边疆,从兄弟民族受“再教育”凡九年成材,获北大英美文学硕士,哈佛中古文学博士(Ph.D.),耶鲁法律博士(J.D.)。曾任香港大学法学院副教授(1993-99)、哈佛大学法学院客座教授(2001-02)。现定居美国,从事知识产权与竞争资讯等领域的法律业务,业余写作。2009年10月起,受聘清华大学梅汝璈法学讲席教授。研究领域包括法律与宗教(圣经学)、法律与伦理(职业伦理)、法律与文学(法理、社会批判)、知识产权与竞争资讯(民商法)。

著/译有《贝奥武甫:古英语史诗》、《 Intellectual Property in China》、《木腿正义》、《玻璃岛——亚瑟与我三千年》、《政法笔记》、《创世记》、《摩西五经》、《宽宽信箱与出埃及记》及法学评论、小说、诗歌若干。

清华大学法学院知识产权法研究中心主任

研究兴趣为专利法、知识产权法、竞争法与财产法,在清华大学法学院讲授专利法专题研究、知识产权法、知识产权许可、知识产权专题研究、Chinese Civil Law等课程。

2000年至2002年,在北京康达事务所上海分所执业(新浪网外聘网站律师),主要负责知识产权诉讼和许可事宜。2001年7月至10月,赴美国纽约CPLP律师事务所实习。2008年9月至2009年1月,在美国联邦上诉巡回法院跟随Rader法官实习,并在美国乔治华盛顿大学法学院做访问学者。

崔国斌副教授在北京大学依次获得理学学士(化学)、法学硕士与博士学位,并在耶鲁大学取得法学硕士学位。

Martin J. Adelman美国乔治华盛顿大学,教授、知识产权法项目共同主任、迪安.丁伍迪知识产权研究中心共同主任

Adelman教授经手了近190件专利侵权案件,拥有丰富的庭上与庭下经验。他现在的教学与研究重点是专利法,撰写了大量关于专利法、专利法经济学与专利反垄断法的论文。他撰写了9卷本Patent Law Perspectives。此外,他也是著名的专利法教科书Cases and Materials on Patent Law与Patent Law in a Nutshell的合作作者。

John R. Alison飞翰(Finnegan)律师事务所合伙人

Alison在半导体、光电与医药工程领域拥有超过25年的专利侵权诉讼经验。他在美国地方法院,国际贸易委员会(ITC),州法院,联邦上诉法院,第四、第六巡回法院参与了超过100件专利、商业秘密、与商标诉讼。他也在半导体、光电与通信工程领域担任许多企业在大中华区的诉讼顾问,包括HTC、S3 Graphics、首尔半导体等,此外,他也担任美国尖端科技企业,如德州仪器和施乐的诉讼顾问。他也曾担任礼来、葛兰素史克、惠氏等医药和生物科技公司的诉讼顾问。

在2004至2007年间,Alison先生担任飞翰台北国际法律事务所的常驻主理合伙人。他目前在台湾政治大学知识产权管理研究生院担任助理教授。此前他担任台湾交通大学科技法律研究所助理教授。1984至1986年间,他还担任美国联邦上诉巡回法院首席法官Howard T. Markey的助理(clerk)。

Goddar教授担任德国不莱梅大学名誉教授、慕尼黑知识产权中心讲师,讲授专利与许可法。他还是美国圣塔克拉拉大学、华盛顿大学、台湾国立政治大学客座教授,华中科技大学顾问教授,同济大学国际知识产权研究院(TGIPI)顾问委员,德国联邦法院判决委员会专利律师事务法官。

Joseph P. Liu美国波士顿学院法学院,教授、副院长

刘教授讲授版权法、商标法、财产法与网络法,主要研究领域是数字版权法。刘教授在美国多家法学期刊上发表版权论文,是Copyright Law: Essential Cases and Materials一书的共同作者。

在2001年加入波士顿学院法学院之前,刘教授在University of California, Hastings College of Law 任助理教授(2000-01),并在哈佛大学法学院担任Climenko Teaching Fellow(1997-98)。更早之前刘教授在波士顿Foley Hoag & Eliot律师事务所工作。

刘教授1989年取得耶鲁大学取得物理学和哲学学士,1994年取得哥伦比亚大学J.D.学位,1999年于哈佛大学法学院取得L.L.M.学位。1993-1994年,他担任Columbia Law Review的主编(Editor-in-Chief)。1994-1995年,担任美国联邦第一巡回上诉法院Levin H. Campbell法官之助理(clerk)。

Joseph J.R. Straus慕尼黑大学与卢布尔雅那大学,教授

美国乔治华盛顿大学法学院,国际与比较法客座教授

Straus教授曾任慕尼黑马克思.普朗克知识产权竞争与税法研究所主任。他还是慕尼黑知识产权法中心(MIPLC)常务董事会主席,同济大学知识产权学院名誉教授及名誉主任,华中科技大学中德知识产权研究所名誉所长,厦门大学知识产权研究院名誉教授。1989年至1998年间任康奈尔法学院客座教授。

2000年,Straus教授以首位非科学家身份荣获德国自然科学基金会颁发的自然科学奖(Science Award 2000)。他还入选IAM杂志评选的“知识产权名人堂”(IP Hall of Fame)。此外,他还是欧盟科学与人文学院(EASA)副院长、欧洲科学院(Academia Europaea)法学部主席,斯洛文尼亚科学与人文学院(SASA)通讯会员、德国知识产权协会(GAIP)副主席,以及欧州联盟科学院(FEAS)知识产权常委会主席。

Randall R. Rader美国联邦上诉巡回法院,首席法官

Rader法官于1990年受乔治H.W.布什总统任命至联邦上诉巡回法院任职,并于2010年6月1日接任首席法官一职。

Rader法官最有名的称号当属“Rader教授”。他在包括乔治华盛顿大学法学院、弗吉尼亚大学法学院、乔治城大学法学院、慕尼黑知识产权法中心,以及东京、台北、新德里、北京等诸多大学中讲授专利法与其他知识产权相关的进阶课程。瑞德法官同时也是多本广负盛名的知识产权法著作的合作者,如最为普及的美国专利法教材Cases and Materials on Patent Law和Patent Law in a Nutshell。

Rader法官的知识产权法课程获得全球各地政界与教育界的一致认可,并获众多奖项。如:2009年知识产权法塞多纳终身成就奖、2003与2008年乔治华盛顿大学法学院颁发杰出教育奖(由学生选出)、2003年新泽西州知识产权法协会颁发的杰弗逊勋章、2003年伯克利科技法律所颁发的杰出贡献奖、2000年乔治华盛顿大学颁发的J.威廉.福尔布莱特杰出公共贡献奖,以及1983年联邦律师协会颁发的青年联邦律师奖。

刘晓春中国青年政治大学法律系,讲师

刘晓春,现任教于中国青年政治学院法律系,北京大学法学博士(2009),美国南方卫理公会大学法学硕士(2004),北京大学法学学士(2001)。兼任北京大学国际知识产权研究中心客座研究员,北京大学互联网法律研究中心研究员。主要研究方向为知识产权法、互联网法等,在网络著作权保护、技术标准与专利、知识产权与反垄断法等领域发表论文十余篇。主讲课程包括知识产权法、民法、外国法专题(英语讲授)等。
