This story book shows great enthusiasm and creation of 11 years old

students from two primary schools. They have done the project in English although

their mother languages are Slovak and Turkish. A simple idea can be elaborated in

such a nice book. The students from both countries worked on the project

simultaneously parallel in free on-line comics creation programme. They publish all

their work in their eJournal „Dare a Comix“:

The Winter Tale

ROLEPLAY FOR STUDENTS TO PLAY AND ENJOY

Introduction:

Mishell: Hello, I am Mishell. I`m eight years old and Jacob is my best friend.

Jacob: Hi! I`m Jacob. I am nine years old. Mishell is my best friend.

Narrator: This is Mishell and Jacob and they love playing ice-hockey. Mishell and Jacob like playing

in snow and making snowmen. They like sweets and ice-cream.

Snow Princess: Good afternoon! I am Snow Princess. I help good children.

Narrator: This is Snow Princess. She likes ice-cream. She is kind-hearted and good-natured. She

never catches a cold.

Monster: Uuuaaaaa! Where is my ice-cream?! I`m the terrible monster!

Narrator: This is a hideous monster. He inprisoned elves, sprites and good children. He loves ice-

cream and he lives in a sweet factory.

Story:

Mishell : Catch me! Ha, ha!

Jacob: Yes, of course.

Narrator: They are playing chase. After a while they see the monster.

Jacob: Hey! What is THAT??

Jacob and Mishell: A MONSTER!!

Narrator: The monster wants to catch them and imprison them .

Monster: Ha, ha! I will catch you!

Narrator: The terrible monster caught Jacob and Mishell. They need help.

Monster: Now I have MORE slaves!

Jacob: We MUST escape from here!

Mishell: But how?

Narrator: The elves, Jacob and Mishell are very sad and angry. --- Mishell and Jacob feel homesick.

The monster gives them only sweets.

Jacob: Oh, my stomach!

Mishell: I want to be at home. --- I don´t do it, again.

Narrator: They shovel the snow and they find a cave.

Jacob: Hey! Look at it, it´s the cave.

Narrator: Children go to the cave. They are surprised.

Mishell: Wow! It´s interesting! --- Can you see it? What is it?

Jacob: I see, but I don´t know.

Princess`s dwarf: It is a magic horn.

Narrator: Only Jacob can play the horn. The sound of it calls the Snow Princess to help them get

from the prison.

Jacob: BLEEEEP, BLEEP.

Mishell: It sounds great.

Princes´dwarf: Now you see the magic.

Mishell and Jacob: AAAAAAAAAAARGHH! ANOTHER MONSTERR!!

Snow Princess: I am the Snow Princess. I heard you called me. Do you need my help?

Narrator: Jacob and Mishell are very surprised to see the Snow Princess. They think that the Snow

Princess can help them.

Jacob: Well, yes. We need your help.

Mishell: Can you help us escape from here?

Snow Princess: Of course, I can. I had a feeling that the monster did very bad evil things for a long

time. --- We will fly and visit the monster in his factory to see what is going on. Hold my hands tightly.

But first we need to go invisible! --- I say a spell and some snow flakes make us invisible!

Narrator: They go invisible and fly high in the sky to see the monster in his sweet factory.

Jacob and Mishell : Wow! We are invisible and flying! I can´t see my body. That´s crazy!

Snow Princess : We are near the sweet factory.

Jacob: Nobody can see us.

Narrator: They are going to the sweet factory and they want to destroy Monster. --- They are

invisible and they play hockey because they are bored.

BANGG! – BAAANGG!

Narrator: The monster comes here. They are scared.

Snow Princess, Mishell and Jacob: AAAAAAAAAA! THE MONSTEEERR!!

Narrator: The monster catches Princess`s magic stick and they are people again. The Snow Princess

uses her magic power.

Snow Princess: I change you into a big lollipop! --- It is your punishment.

Mishell: Big lollipop!!

Jacob: Youpiii!!!

Conclusion:

Narrator: Mishell and Jacob like the lollipop and they eat it all. The elves and the sprites are set

free forever. --- They live happily in a beautiful country without bad monsters. They play in a band.

The band is called „The Magic“.
