Sri Aurobindo’s Life Aurobindo was born on 15th August,
1872 in Calcutta. His father was Dr. Krishnadhan Ghosh
and mother was Swarnalata Devi.
He returned to India in 1893 and joined as professor of English at Baroda College in Gujarat.
He went to Pondicherry and spent his remaining 40 years in his Ashram.
