JEONJU MILL It’s not an overstatement to say that the 40-year history of Jeonju Mill represents the history of Korean paper industry.
It is the third largest in the world in terms of newsprint production capacity, capable of producing 850,000 tonnes of paper per year. It
can recycle 2,500 tonnes of waste paper streams per day, operates the largest DIP production capacity in the world, and is the only
mill in Korea that is able to produce thermo-mechanical pulp. In the Jeonju area, the Jeonju Mill is also recognized as a model plant
after being designated as a Environmentally Friendly Company by the Ministry of Environment of Korea in 1995.
CHEONGWON MILL Located in Cheongwon, Chungcheongbuk-do, Cheongwon Mill started its operation in 1996 and has a
newsprint production capacity of 180,000 tonnes per year. Despite being a single-line facility, its high production efficiency was
recognized as being world-class by Metso, a global paper machine manufacturer. Furthermore, because the mill is surrounded by
farmland, the 140 Cheongwon employees take extra measures to run an eco-conscious operation. As a result of such continued
efforts, the Cheongwon Mill has been designated as an Environmentally Friendly Company by the Ministry of Environment of Korea
since 2002.

processing through different manufacturing and bleaching processes. By balancing the usage of the two types of in-house produced
pulp as well as imported Kraft pulp, Jeonju Paper is able to optimize the opacity, strength, grammage, thickness, color, and printability
to better fulfill clients’ various needs.
