single slice systems, Multislice CT scanners

higher resolution, shorter examination

The Ultra Fast Ceramic (UFC) Detectorsystem is the central part of all Siemens

CT scanners. Due to this component alone,

many clinical innovations have been

achieved. Speed, image quality, and low

Conventional ceramic scintillator materialhas a long afterglow effect. Siemens

ceramic UFC scintillators excel in fast

decay behavior and an extremely short

afterglow time.
