EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

 Mobile specific channel release and GSM to WCDMA Adanced Cell reselection have been tested

successfully under the cells of DBN10.

 Mobile specific channel release makes it possible to direct camping on 3G immediately after 2G call releaseithout need of !ocation "pdates . #his is achieved by activating the feature and 3G cell reporting on 2G dedicated

mode $ folloing an %&'# (andover for e)ample.

 *ield test shoed !" # of IRAT $% cases has been resulted ith direct camping on 3G saving 2 !ocation

"pdates hich appears on normal call scenario.

 +tatistically also slight reduction on !",s on 2G has been observed . *eature is supported by &el - mobiles.

/aging is also checked for the cases here direct camping on 3G is performed.

GSM to WCDMA Adanced Cell reselection makes it possible to use &+/ criteria in addition to e)isting cNo

criteria hile evaluating 3G radio conditions in case of a 2G3G cell reselection. 'dditional &+/ criteria ouldprovide more robustness for better estimation of "! radio conditions and prevents pingpong,s.

 2 scenarios on field test have been tried Drive scenario used fi)ed &+/ threshold on 2G and 2G3G cell

reselection is observed hile driving toard to site providing better 3G &* conditions for cell reselection. +tationary

scenario aimed to observe 2G3G cell reselection hile dynamically reducing &+/ threshold on 2G . Both cases

had been tried successfully.

GSM to WCDMA Adance Cell reselection functionality has also been confirmed statistically by observing trend

of 3G cell reselection numbers. #here as 20 4 reduction on cell reselection number hen &+/ threshold valueof 50 dBm as applied.
