What is Study Abroad?什麼是海外學習 ?

Study Abroad is opportunity to study at a foreign university for one year or one semester including English language learning as part of the program (if required). Academic credit transfer between universities is arranged whenever possible.

海外學習是學生前往海外國家修讀一學期或一學年的專業科目，包含英語課程 ( 若有要求 ) ，完成課程回台後，學生海外所修讀的科目學分，可以在原就讀學校辦理適當的學分抵免

Study Abroad Foundation

1. Founded by the Institute for Study Abroad, IFSA-Butler: A non-profit organization which was founded in 1988 and is today a network of over 200 universities in 13 countries. Every year approximately 4,000 American and Canadian students participate in the IFSA-Butler’s study abroad programs.

The Institute for Study Abroad 海外學習學院 – 即 IFSA-Bulter ，協助成立 SAF ，創始於 1988 年，至今已經在海外 13 個國家，與 200 所大學締

Upon deciding to go on an SAF program, students

will need to select 1-3 possible host universities to

attend.

options with SAF advisors . There are 3 ways to

receive counseling:

Our Study Abroad Program Application provides: 申請資料提供﹡ complete admissions guidelines 申請說明﹡ outlines all required supplementary documentation, and 申請文件規定﹡ explains any relevant application fees and enrollment deposits.

An advisor will look your application over to make sure that the

university chosen can meet your academic needs. If he or she thinks

that another school might provide a better fit, the advisor will call or

email to further discuss your options. 課程審核人員在收到申請文件後，會仔細檢閱相關文件，以確保申請者申請權益。若有更適合的學校建議， SAF

諮詢人員將立即通知申請者，以便做適當的課程安排。

﹡A NT$ 3,000 non-refundable application fee is due with the

Once a SAF host university responds with an acceptance, the SAF

will send the student a complete acceptance packet:

入學文件資料袋包含以下重要文件：﹡An official letter of acceptance from SAF 入學接受回函﹡A student program contract 課程合約﹡Medical needs questionnaire 體檢項目表﹡Housing preference form 宿舍申請表Students must sign and return the program contract and

enrollment deposit (NT$ 50,000 applied to program fee), to secure

their place on the SAF program.  申請者必須簽回課程合約並繳交課程訂金 (NT$50,000) ，確保入學名額。

Upon receipt of a signed program contract SAF will send students

the necessary documents and directions to apply for a student

visa.

在收到上述文件後， SAF 將寄發證明文件協助學生辦理簽證。
