    Long Operating LifeLong-life solenoid operating mechanism provides a minimumof 10,000 operations with no maintenance requirement.

    Vacuum InterruptingAdvanced vacuum interrupter technology provides two dutycycle interruption life.

    Manual Operating HandlesConvenient operating handles are located on the recloser. Theyellow handle permits mechanical opening and mechanicallyactuated, electrical closing of the recloser. The non-reclosinglever provides the capability of blocking reclosing after thefirst trip operation regardless of the number of reclosespreprogrammed in the control.

    No Oil or GasThe TRIMOD 100 contains NO OIL or GAS for interruption orinsulation! The 30 year, field proven Joslyte solid insulationsystem provides dielectric strength around the vacuuminterrupter without concerns for leaks or environmental hazards.

    Mounting VersatilityTRIMOD can be mounted to a wood pole, crossarms,or cluster mounting frame. Control can be mounteddirectly to TRIMOD or remotely.

    Mechanical Position IndicatorThe position indicator is located on the bottom of the recloser.The large, reflective Open (Green) / Closed (Red) indicators arevisible from ground level.

    Increased AccuracyTraditional single-phase reclosers withhydraulic controls have difficultymaintaining accuracy over time,particularly through temperaturevariations. This can affect coordination

    and limit protection flexibility.Conversely, the PowerMAXcontrol is microprocessor-basedand its accuracy does not changeover time or with temperaturevariations, thus enabling betterand more reliable protectioncoordination.

  • PowerMAXThe PowerMAX microprocessor-based controllerprovides unprecedented application flexibility and datarecording capabilities. All protection settings arechangeable from theintegrated keypad, withoutthe need to change orstock any components.

    Remote monitoring andoperation is available viadry contacts or the RS-232communications port.

    Enhanced FeaturesThe PowerMAXmicroprocessor-basedcontrol offers features thattraditionally have only beenavailable with three-phaserecloser controls. Thecontrol contains only asmall Lithium clock batteryfor maintaining accuratetime and date stamping.No other batteries are usedin the operation of thecontrol, thus eliminating costly battery maintenancenormally associated with electronic controls! All settingsand stored information are retained without the use ofbatteries even in the absence of line voltage. The controlcan be mounted directly to the recloser or convenientlylocated at a remote location.

    Programmable SettingsProgramming of the PowerMAX is easily accomplished

    by using the self-explanatory keypad. No dip switches oradditional components are required to make any settingchanges. A large LCD display allows for viewing settingchanges and stored information without the need for acomputer, although settings can be changed and storedinformation downloaded via a computer.

    Time-Current CurvesAll traditional single-phase recloser curves plus ANSIinverse curves are selectable without the need tochange any components.

    Voltage ProtectionThe PowerMAX has the ability to be programmedto trip on over-voltage or under-voltage conditions.

    Single-Phase Trip, Three-Phase LockoutThe PowerMAX has the ability to be connected to otherPowerMAX controls to provide single-phase trippingand three-phase lockout.

    Event RecordingThe event recorder stores the most recent 20 eventsenabling fast troubleshooting of problematic feeders. Eachtime and date stamped event includes the cause of theevent and any data associated with it. The events can beretrieved locally by using the keypad and display or remotelyvia the RS-232 port.

    Lockout IndicatorThe control indicates lockout by illuminating the lockoutLED on the front panel as well as a high powered LED onthe bottom of the control enclosure. This enables quickand accurate determination from ground level as to whichTRIMOD has operated to lockout.

    Low Voltage Testing CapabilityThe PowerMAX control is powered from 120 Vac or240 Vac. This, along with the fact that the TRIMOD doesnot use a high voltage closing solenoid, enables safe andconvenient testing of the recloser system.

  • The Fisher Pierce Smartlink cellular monitoring and reporting systemprovides economical 2-way status and control capability. The systemutilizes Cellemetry and the existing cellular network. Applicationsinclude recloser monitoring, alarm monitoring, capacitor control, loadmonitoring, fault locating, and switch control. For more information,refer to Joslyn Bulletin Series 2700.

    SMARTLINK MONITOR & CONTROL SYSTEM

    Joslyn sectionalizers are used to improve reliability on distribution systems.Distribution sectionalizers isolate faults and outages with automaticsectionalizing, or remote-supervisory controls. For more information,refer to Joslyn Bulletin DB 750-202.
