What is Restaurant Day?

Restaurant Day is a worldwide food carnival where

anyone can set up a restaurant, café or a bar (non-

alcoholic) for a day. It can happen anywhere: at

your home, at the office, on a street corner, in your

garden or inner courtyard, at a park, or on the

beach – only your imagination is the limit.

How was the day ?• We started the day by preparing waffles and fillings

for them. • We are cooked waffles after every order (and when

we ourselves got hungry). This way every customer got a warm and fresh waffle.

• At the end of the day we cleaned up the kitchens.

A student in the restaurant : It was nice to make waffles with friends (laughing, eating and talking).

Customer: Waffles and filling tasted

delicious. It was a nice idea to sell

waffles like take away by selling them

out of a window.

Profit: about

180€

Why our waffles were healthy? Our waffles were healthier than normal ones because we used rye flour. We didn't use a lot of sugar and butter was replaced with rapeseed oil.

The yoghurt foam was healthier because we replaced some of the cream with natural yoghurt and again we didn't use so much sugar.

We also added fresh strawberries to the jam in order to make it less sugary.
