RESULTS OF THE PROJECT EVALUATION

1)The Grundtvig Project has been a great opportunity for us to enrich our knowledge and

make us aware that it should no longer be confined to a local dimension, but it has to be

opened to the different points of view of each country (customs and traditions).

WHAT STRUCK US IN THE DIFFERENT MEETINGS

Slovakia and Portugal:

- coexistence of different generations living in the same accommodation.

Slovakia:

- app e iatio of the illage di e sio : its apa it to el o e people, to sha e projects where each citizen offers his own competence and availability to the group

he belongs to.

Turkey:

- accurate and exhaustive explanation of the Turkish educational system

- Turkish cuisine.

13

Portugal:

- cooking workshop all together, with the traditional dishes shared in a pleasant

atmosphere

- laboratory of molecular cuisine

Poland:

- involvement in local folk dances and songs

- map of wishes and aspirations

2) PROS AND CONS OF THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE

POSITIVE ASPECTS (what we have learnt in each country)

- local educational system and its organization

- local traditions (dances, sports, festivals and events)

- food habits and traditional dishes

- how and when the meals are taken during the day

- the opportunity to compare and discuss the final results of the questionnaire

concerning physical activities, food habits and mental well-being techniques

- different physical activities

- strengthening awareness of our national identity

- interpersonal relationships

- relations with institutions

- the artistic and historical places of each country have given us the opportunity to

satisfy our curiosity of discovering the socio-cultural characteristics thanks to the

guide of the natives

- practice and improvement of the knowledge of the vehicular language (English)

NEGATIVE ASPECTS

- the difficulty of communication for deficiencies in the vehicular language

- even if the autonomy of the individual working groups was enhanced, sometimes the

project has suffered from some difficulties of global coordination

- the difficulty of combining the planning activities, regarding the timing and the

modality, with the demands of personal and daily work

- difficulty in finding sponsors to support the activities of the project.

RESULTS OF THE PROJECT EVALUATION

1. The lesson`s overview regarding the theme of the project which

participants acquired during the project.

Grundtvig partnership project was the first international / European project for Foundation

RoRo. The subject of health, always important to us, was the great motivation to take part in

this particula a tio . We e e eall e ited a d o de i g hat ould eall happe du i g the p oje t. All the eeti gs i pa t e s’ ou t ies e e like a ig ad e tu e fo us,

ai l e ause of the ou t e isited, the la guage e hea d, the ultu e e tou hed . We were really interested how the healthy life style looked in each country, how citizens

from Slovakia, Turkey, Portugal, Latvia and Italy coped with health problems and what they

did to counteract illnesses in our modern world.

We observed and learnt a lot during each visit. We found out that in all countries involved in

the Grundtvig Partnership there is a problem with coping with stress, take good, balanced

diet and enough physical activity to be healthy. All partnership meetings, especially with

ordinary people from each country, visits schools and cooperative organizations,

workshops, conferences, sport competitions, mutual dancing and singing, experience of

ea h ultu e a d histo e e p i eless fo us, also to Fou datio ’s lea e s a d othe professionals cooperated with us on the project execution. Our common partnership work

outs like questionnaires, information booklets on healthy life style (cook book and postural

education) gave our learners and other professionals the education path to follow.

15

The Health Festival we organize in Poland was some kind of the project summary. In one

place we gathered everything what was important for healthy life style: sport, good food,

stress workshops, ideas for leisure and healthy activities, plays and lectures, professionals

and our parents with their children, cooperated organizations and learners. All to show

taste and learn how important is health for quality of our lives.

2. Each countries meeting overview in pictures and stories (e.g. Italians

speak about Italy and Turks about Turkey meeting).

All project meetings and what took place in Poland between project meetings during two

years of Grundtvig Partnership Project, gave us priceless experience and broaden our

knowledge. We found out that stressful life, wrong diet and lack of physical activity in our

countries are really serious problems. Those need to be talked about loudly and supported

actively. Our parents, professionals, teachers, organizations and schools participated keenly

in activities we organized or/and were engaged in particular workshops/ lectures/boards/

meetings/issues/ writing articles etc. We were listening to their suggestions and try to full

fill their needs. Our adults/parents are willing to broaden their knowledge on healthy life

style and eagerly share their experience with others.

16

During two years of the project a lot of questions were asked, exchanges of information and

opinions took place, also many friendships appeared. We all had invaluable opportunity to

meet and work with great people from Europe (both outside Poland and in Warsaw).

We’ e do e a lot to ake the p oje t o ka le a d ost a essi le, i.e.:

• -Project meetings in Slovakia, Turkey, Portugal, Italy, Poland and Latvia

• -Project workouts: questionnaire, cook book, postural education booklet, reports,

presentations, collages, information booklets (web & CD version)

• Project web site (ICT tools)

• Health Festival

• Workshops, lectures, sport exercises, counseling sessions, meetings, forums

• Articles and interviews

• Project meetings

• Anti stress info graphic

• Cooperation and consultations with professionals, teachers, specialists

• Active cooperation with adults

After two years of Grundtvig Partnership Project, we are sure that it is important to

o ti ue the o k o the su je t of health life st le a d … e ill do that.
