PGVS Pragati Gramin Vikas Samiti)/ Ekta Parishad is working on Covid-19 to support most marginalized community, corona victims and vulnerable people of the society in 12th district of Bihar( Patna, Bhojpur, Gaya, Jahanabad, Arwal, Jamui, Banka, Nalanda, Begusarai, , Mujaffarpur,Katihar and West Champaran ) from 26th March 2020, after announcement of lockdown. During this period we reached more than 10000 family through mobilizing,

awareness mask distribution, Food grain distribution and digital awareness. Our PGVS/Ekta perished Team doing hard work for safety and security of community life .

During last one week we have distributed food grain, support to filling application for ration card, demand generation in MNREGA and digital awareness In Patna, Bhojpur, Gaya and Banka Trans gender of khagaul are taking dry ration from manjula dung dung and food grain receiving by widow and old age woman of Jalalpur village PATNA- PGVS has distributed food grain materials in Bailey Road, Jalalpur, Shawarinagar Khagaul IN widow, old people Trans genders and PWD(people with disability ) The third phase of food grain matrial distribution to focus most marginalized person and household in musahar community and Trans Gender. In this phase we have given 2kg rice, 1.5 kg Wheat flower, 1 kg salt, 800 gram Dal( Arhar) First step to visit in village survey of widows single woman trans

gender and migrant community. After identification of beneficiaries distributed coupon for dry ration. And in final step we call them to collect dry ration . During the distribution time PGVS ensure to maintain the social distancing . Baheliya community( Ghumantu samuday) Received food grain materials at under Bailey road fly over , Danapur Patna. They lives under the flyover at bailey road near check post. Transgender are also facing hunger due to lockdown ,because they have no any opportunity to find any resource for prevention of hunger. In the village of Danapur in mushar tolas no any case of Corona positive but they living in critical condition due to unemployment . PGVS also distributed Food grain materials in Amarpura village market and Kharauna musahartoli in naubatpur block and ghumantu family in Bihata block lives down on flyover

And also in dumari village in bihta block. The all beneficiaries belong to musahar community

and nut community.

During the survey PGVS collect information related to migrant labor and Corona positive

people. PGVS supporting community to demand job under mnrega. IN all maintained block

MNREGA work started in few panchayats.

Bhojpur:-

PGVS workin in koilwar ,sandesh ,jagdishpur, garhani charpokhari and sarar to aware and

support marginalized community in filling application for ration card old age pension and job in

mnrega, In sahar block mnrega work started and some lebour involve. Oue cadre and mukhiye

also distributing mask ration and soap in baruhi panchayat .

In koilwar block our staff manju devi actively working in musahar community to support in

accessi g PDS ration filling application for ration card pension and job in mnrega. More than 86

application submitted for card and pension .

Gaya:-

PGVS currently involved with

1. Awareness generation and flow of information regarding measures of heygine and

safety to be taken care of during COVID 19 crisis.

2. Facilitated community awareness and selection of location for construction towards

construction of community toilet at Ackhanpur village in Nimmi GP and Bhare GP

respectively.

3. Sadhu Manjhi is a social artist who is situated at Badauan Village in Nimmi GP of

Fatehpur block. He has actively contributed his effort during 2017 to make Nimmi GP as

ODF though singing and drum playing. During COVID 19 lockdown he was suffering from

economic crisis. Hence we helped him with suppot by WA Rs 4000 as financial support

to meet his essential requirements.

4. We are in regular contact with different stakeholders like Ward members, ANM, ASHA

and AWW through telephonic conversation. We have tried to keep them updated

regarding different issues faced by community or status of migration or members

suffering outside state during lock down phase.

5. Facilitated community members suffering outside state with information to get back to

home state and other support.

6. Facilitated pregnant or lactating women to get online registered under ICDS scheme at

different locations of Manpur, Fatehpur and Nagar block.

7. Facilitated Gram Panchayats in Manpur block during distribution of soap and dustbins at

quarantine centres.

8. We are working to spread awareness and information through telephonic calls to

community volunteers in different blocks of Gaya.

9. We accessing the water scarce habitations in different blocks of Gaya to facilitate them

with water availability in consultation with PRI members.

In Manpur block PGVS mobilizing children, Teachers, parents and ACDS workers through

digital to safe and educational activities at home with support of Save the children . We also

distributing masks. In community.

In Bara chatty block Oure team supporting community to demand job in mnrega after

mobilizing people work starte in some panchayats and labour involve in mnrega job rohi gaon

jagira panchayat of Barachatti.
