INTERVIEWS//TTo follow are the interviews conducted with the present collaborating artists over the course of producing this body of work. In terms of
working towards an improved regional dialogue between artist and public, it became clear early on that we would have to oer more
outside the work itself in exhibition as this often excludes important contextual information. We had considered holding talks at the
exhibition space throughout the duration of the show but scheduling, attendance conicts, etc. made that dicult. There would also have
been the issue of transmitting to an audience not in attendance the content of those talks, which would have placed us right back at the
ststarting line. We concluded that to conduct and publish interviews would be the most expedient and easily accessible format for this
dialogue. Endeavouring to engage in talks which would hopefully answer some of the questions which may arise and which would also
develop the engagement with and enjoyment of the works themselves, we present these un-edited interviews for your consideration.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR//
ANDY BOREHOL//
Andrew J McKay (b.1984)andyborehol.com
II began my work in 2005 while living in Ottawa. Early on inuenced by the street art and reclusive painters I knew then, my greater practice has moved to explorations of the relation of component to whole. That is to say: what are the individual and specic details of the life we experience? How do we record and arrange those details to make a work which can tell of that experience? And what are the compositions of our communities as far as the relation of the individual to the collective experience?
