IntroductionIntroduction 简介简介 The Board is an independent, quasi-judicial, administrative

tribunal mandated to mediate and adjudicate workplace disputes under a variety of statutes作为独立、准司法性的行政法庭，受委托对工作场所的各种性质的争端进行调解和裁决

Its primary work is in administering the Labour Relations Act, 1995 and two other main statutes: the Employment Standards Act, 2000 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act其主要工作涉及到 1995年颁布的劳动关系法和另外两部法规：2000年颁布的就业标准法，以及职业卫生与安全法

OLRB has been in existence over 60 years and has jurisdiction in Ontario (not other provinces or Canada) 具有 60多年的历史，管辖范围为安大略省

Both initiated by complaints filed to MoL. ESOs, and inspectors investigate and issue or refuse to issue orders.

Standard of Review (generally, reasonableness; correctness on Charter/Constitutional/ jurisdictional matters 审议标准（一般来说，着重涉及到加拿大权利与自由宪章 / 宪法 / 管辖权事宜的合理性和正确性）

Approximately 8 - 12 per year 大约每年复审数量为 8 - 12 起

In 30% of Board cases, at least one party represents him/herself 本局经办的案件中，约有 30% 由当事人自行答辩
