New in Coming President’s Report
Well hello All
Welcome to another Club year albeit a month late. I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to
the outgoing committee. As it’s been a very interesting year not being able to have runs,
meetings and hold events due to Covid.
Again, Thank you.
Thank you also to the incoming committee. I hope All our members and your Families have
kept well. I’d also like to send the Clubs Sincere Condolences to the families and friends of
those we have lost this year our thoughts and prayers are with you All.
CLUB Meetings -- for at least the next 4-5 meetings we will be holding them at Capalaba
Football club as the COORPAROO RSL HAS SAID THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO
ACCOMMODATE US. You will have to have dinner prior to coming or bring something
with you BUT the bar is open. There are many restaurants and takeaway options close by.

“ATTENTION CLUB MEETING UPDATE”
Capalaba Warriors Footy Club Banfield Lane Capalaba
Meeting Starts 8pm
Until further notice the GT Club monthly meetings are going to be held at
Capalaba Warriors Football Club. This is so that the club can get back to some
sort of normality. We know that this will not suit everyone but the alternative is
NO meetings. The RSL is still not going to be increasing its dates & times at this
stage and will probably not until possibly April next year. So, we are still not able
to have any club meetings at the RSL until further notice, that is why Jarrod &
Tanya have offered the GT Club the use of the footy club.
So, Thank You both for coming to the clubs’ rescue.

Anderson Family
At the passing of Barbara Anderson
Both Hale (who passed a few years ago) and Barb were both active members of the GT Club and would be on as many runs as they could. Hale had been in a wheel chair for most of his life and Barb was always at his side. They had both lead active lives and had owned a party hire show in the Gabba called Pete’s Party Paraphernalia. They would always support the club, be at car shows and help where possible. Barb passed away peacefully in hospital the other day after being diagnosed with cancer only a few weeks before. Her beautiful soul is
now up with Hale giving him an earful, like she used to do and is now with her son as well.
From Membership Officer Looking forward to another great year in the club, if members have any question about their membership or club rego please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Regards Club Membership Officer David Roads JP Qualified

PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP SOCIAL DISTANCING
IN MIND AT ALL TIME
RUNS & EVENTS:
Now with only a few new out brakes of Covid that have occurred (but only from people
already in lock down). We hope to get back to some sort of normality post covid, with runs
and possibly some events. Please check to see if regular event meets, swaps or other events
that are advertised are up and running. Also due to fluctuating number restriction changes
constantly changing again!! for attendance at café’s or meets and/ or runs. So you need to
keep up checks and always to PLEASE remember social distancing, also some events may
still not be up and running as yet.
REQUEST:
With the lifting of some of our restrictions and with us being able to now go out for a run in
our cars. If you know of any events that are now open or car meets or swaps PLEASE let me
know so that I can add then to newsletter or even Facebook.
Lest We Forget Remembrance Day
11/11/2020
Hope you remembered to bow your heads at 11 am
Siamese twins walk into a pub in Sydney and park themselves on a bar stool.
One of them says to the bartender,
"Don't mind us, we're joined at the hip. I'm John, and on the left, here is Jim. We'll have two VB's, thanks."
The bartender, feeling slightly awkward, tries to make polite conversation while pouring the beers.
"Been on holiday recently, lads?"
"Off to the States next month," says John. "We go to the States every year, hire a nice car and drive for miles, don't we, Jim?"
Jim agrees.
"Ah, The States!" says the bartender. "Wonderful country, the people, climate, the beer, the culture"
"Nah, we don't like that American crap," says John. "Aussie meat pies, chips, and VB, that's us, hey, Jim?
Jim agrees.
And we can't stand the Yanks, not civil and polite like us Aussies."
"So why keep going to the States?" asks the bartender.
"It's the only chance Jim gets to drive!!

For the attention and action of NAFGTC Inc. associated clubs:
19th Falcon GT National Concourse Update
At the 24th October National Association of Falcon GT Clubs Inc. Delegates teleconference the main item for discussion was a date for the next Falcon GT National Concourse event (following the cancellation of the scheduled Easter 2021 event). Falcon GT Owners Club of Queensland Inc. delegate Bob Taylor indicated the FGTOCQ Inc. were now looking to Easter 2022 as a potential date for their club to hold the event. The NAFGTC Inc. current scheduled state rotation order is: 2021 - Qld, 2023 - N.S.W., 2025 - Vic, 2027 - WA, 2029 - SA (i.e.: the odd years).
NB: The rotation is based on a state by state, not a club basis. With the vastly improved Covid-19 situation/outlook across Australia it is the feeling of the group that all possibilities around holding the 19th Falcon GT National Concourse should be explored. This includes exploring possibilities for maintaining the current scheduled state rotation. On that basis the NAFGTC Inc. Delegates group will meet again Tuesday 24th November to consider bids as follows and not limited to:
• FGTOCQ Inc. to review the situation and provide a firm date/bid for consideration by the delegates group
• Other NAFGTC Inc. associated clubs are invited to submit a bid to host the 19th Falcon GT National Concourse on the proviso they run the event in 2021
• Bids can be submitted from a consortium of NAFGTC Inc. associated clubs or single NAFGTC Inc. associated club. Clubs working together in a state is the NAFGTC Inc. recommended approach
• The preference is for the 19th Falcon GT National Concourse to be held on the Gold Coast
• Any club proposing to change the current scheduled state rotation must obtain agreement from the state immediately affected by the proposed change
• All bids will be considered on their merit by the Delegates group
• Bids to be submitted to NAFGTC Inc. Secretary Gary Thirlwell no later than Friday 20th November 2020
• A decision will be made at the 24th November Delegates meeting with a view to an announcement being sent out immediately after.

2021 FALCON GT NATIONALS
After a previous monthly meeting by the Qld Nationals Organising Committee and with the NAFGTC, it was decided that the ‘2021 FALCON GT NATIONALS’ to have been held at the Gold Coast QLD, would be POSTPONED due to the current and ongoing effects of COVID-19. At the October meeting the situation was discussed and it was the feeling of the NAFGTC that all possibilities around holding the 19th Falcon GT National Concourse should be explored. A decision is intended to be made at the next delegates meeting on the 24th November. The 2021 Falcon GT Nationals Organising Committee will keep you updated as often and when any news or changes occur. This will be instantly posted on the official public Facebook page the 19th Falcon GT Nationals Gold Coast 2021 https://www.facebook.com/19thFalconGTNationals/?modal=admin_todo_tour Please also note the official website of the Falcon GT Nationals http://nafgtc.asn.au/gtnationals/ If any person requires any further information regarding this, please contact your Nationals representative in your state and they can point you to the above sites for the most up to date information. Kind Regards,

Club Christmas Party
Date: 22nd November
Time: From 10am
NEED NUMBERS “ASAP!!!!”
Venue: Capalaba Warriors Jnr Rugby League Football Club,
Banfield Lane Capalaba
Because of all the upheaval these last 10 months due to Covid, & not having meetings or
runs, the club Christmas Party has kinda!! been forgotten about. So, a last-minute decision
has been made to hold the Club Christmas Party, at the Capalaba Warriors Jnr Rugby League
again this year. If you’re thinking of attending the club Christmas Party, we need to know the
numbers of members attending & also children and ages as well. Plenty of parking, wheel
chair access & a great big field for the kids to play on, tell them to bring a bat & ball, football
or maybe a kite. There is a licensed bar for those who aren't driving home, & most
importantly the big fat fella in the red suite will be arriving for the big! & small kiddies!!
""Luv Ya Santa"" please bring a present for Santa’s sack.
This will be for about $20ish for your child.

RE: Decommissioning of Accommodation at Valla Beach Tourist Park
As Owners and Managers of the Tourist park and surrounding village it saddens us to have reached a
decision to decommission the accommodation. The camping grounds and permanent van sites are still
available.
A full refund of any deposits being held by Management is available upon request. We ask that you
forward your banking details by email only.
Both Beverley and me would love to thank you for your patronage over the years you have holidayed at
Valla Beach and we sincerely wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas.
I know you aren’t sure what the various GT Club plans are going forward but just wanted to let you know
that when we reopen post-COVID our campgrounds will still be available for tent/caravan/motorhomes.
Yours sincerely
Gus Camilleri
Managing Director
On behalf of Gus & Beverley Camilleri
Farewell Valla
Those members that have attend Valla Beach Combined Cruise in NSW, you would have
received by now an email or letter from Valla Beach Resort. Those that haven’t, then you
possibly have either camp or caravan sites and the above letter does not affect you, unless
you wish to cancel your site. The owners and management of Valla Beach Resort, have
come to a decision to no longer use the park for events for car clubs or any other type of
function. All the cabins will be decommissioned (Not used) and more than likely demolished
and the park will turn mostly into permanent residents, like is already in other sections of the
park. It’s sad that they made this decision during covid, and that we didn’t get to have one
last year at Valla to reminisce and have a farewell party to say “Good-bye”. But!! All is not
lost as Valla diehards are already out searching for a “Valla Next Gen” fingers XXXXX that
something large enough can be found and that it is still central for ALL GT Clubs that
usually attend Valla.

CAR CRUISE TO
"CLAREDALE PASTURES"
in Clare Nth Qld
The Northern GT Club members’ car
cruise for the month of October was to
'Claredale Pastures' at the old Mio
College, near the township of Clare. Clare
is about one hour's drive south east of
Townsville (off the main highway) and makes an ideal car cruise for both the Townsville and
Burdekin members to catch for lunch. The
Falcon GT Owner's Club also invited the
North Queensland Ford Performance Club
(NQFPC) on the car cruise and to join us
for lunch.
Townsville members departed from BP
Cluden on Sunday, 11th October at 10.30am to travel to Claredale Pastures where we met up
with the Burdekin members. We had a good roll up of cars and people, as can be seen from
the photos.

Below you will find a form and I am hoping that members will fill it out and return it to me ASAP. You can either choose to scan and email or post back, the other alternative is to fill it out take a picture and send back via TXT message.
