Naval Inspector General Spouse Focus Groups

The Naval Inspector General team is visiting Fleet Activities Yokosuka and invites spouses of service members and federal government employees, as well as ombudsmen, to focus groups on March 25th and 26th. The Yokosuka Fleet and Family Support Center will begin a month of sexual assault prevention and response awareness activities with a chili cook off hosted at USO Yokouska. Come enjoy complementary lunch and cast your vote for the most delicious chili. The top two prizes will be for judge’s choice and people’s choice. This event is open to all SOFA personnel. Kinugasa Cherry Blossom FestivalMarch 28-April 8 (Thu-Mon)

6 to 8 p.m. | Kinugasayama ParkCelebrate spring time with the flowering cherry blossoms! Saturdays and Sundays will include dances, taiko drums, and other music performances. Each night the cherry blossoms will be lit up from 6 to 8 p.m.

Third Avenue Steam Pipe Replacement: Road closure on Third Ave. between Fourth Ave. and Gridley Lane until April 29. Parking lot access will be provided to Nanaban and Hachiban residents during the duration of the project.

Rickert Dr.: There will be a partial road closure at Rickert Drive Tunnel until June18. The south bound lane will be used for 2-way traffic.
