Meet Medal of Honor recipients Maj. Gen. James Livingston and Col. Roger Donlon for an autograph, handshake or picture. Maj. Gen. Livingston (USMC retired), was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroic actions in 1968 during the Vietnam War. Col. Donlon (U.S. Army retired) is the first person to receive the Medal of Honor in the Vietnam War, as well as the first member of the U.S. Army Special Forces to receive this medal.

The passport, immigrant visa and federal benefit units of the U.S. Embassy Tokyo will host an outreach for the Yokosuka community. Applications for passports and Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) will be accepted on a walk-in basis from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Applicants must arrive before 1 p.m. with the appropriate outreach checklist and all required items. COMMENT: Recently, the free weights in the Fleet Rec Gym have been secured during the day in addition to being secured at night. I’m active duty and have fitness standards to meet for my job. How am I supposed to do this when the weights are secured except for two days on the weekend?RESPONSE: Thank you for your feedback regarding our fitness programing. The Fleet Rec Gym has several areas with free weights available

Building C21, Command Hill: Parking on Command Hill will be reduced during the demolition and reconstruction of Building C21 until March 2019. POOL HOURSGreen Beach and Ikego pools will close for the season Sunday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. The Seahawk Natatorium will resume normal hours, Aug. 27: Mon. - Fri. 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sat. 8:30 a.m to 4 p.m.

The functional fitness room was setup on a trial basis, in the 5th Floor rear area, to explore the capabilities of current facilities and expand the fitness offerings to the community. However, the original building design never intended this space to be a free weight area and

as it stands, it does not meet the noise abating requirements for the type of exercise being performed there. In the meantime, Fleet Rec has deadlift stands and free weights available on the 4th floor. Moreover, the Purdy Gym has extensive free weights and dedicated areas to meet the fitness needs of the Yokosuka community.

SURE START APPLICATION DEADLINE
