    True one-box solution

Andrew's miniRepeater family gives designers a simple tool to

solve their small area coverage and

    performance issues.

The MRX03 is a bi-directional amplifierused to enhance signals between a

    mobile and a base station.

It has been designed to increase signal

strength in small and medium sized areas

such as offices, shops, and basements.

By boosting the signal level, the MRX03

    increases indoor coverage and allows

    high data rate connectivity.

The MRX03 is simple to install. It has

    auto-setup functionality and requires

    no additional equipment to commission.

The RF link (donor) towards the base

station is typically fed from an outdoor

antenna while the coverage area is fed by an indoor antenna.

The unit is available in many configurations:

    MRX03B, MRX03D, MRX03/X03B, MRX03/X03D.

The "X03" indicates a single band filter selection while the

"X03/X03" defines either two frequency segments or the

configuration of two independent bands. The "B" version of

the repeater is equipped with a internal coverage antenna

while the "D" version of the repeater has a SMA antenna port

that is used to feed an external indoor coverage antenna via

coaxial cable. All units are available

    in different bandwidths with field

    adjustable center frequencies.

All members of the miniRepeaterfamily can be combined in a single-

box solution. Even supervision, control and

alarming can be integrated. We offer a detailed

information paper showing all possible combina-

    tions and technical data. (PA-101046-EN)

The MRX03 will automatically set its gain to maximize

its performance, however gain may be set manually if desired.

The auto-adaptation feature always keeps the output power

at the maximum possible level, even if the RF environment

changes. The MBSX03 has been designed to compensate for

the loss of long RF cables between a BTS antenna and a

    MRX03B or a MRX03D. This booster /

splitter can also be used to distribute the

signals up to four independent cable paths.

The miniRepeater family has an alarm

interface with LEDs and dry-contact outputs which enables

local and remote supervision. An optional remote monitor

function provides equipment alarming via GSM SMS. Alarm

SMSs (including heartbeat) can be sent to the common

Andrew Operation and Maintenance Center (OMC) or to

any standard SMS receiver (even a mobile phone).

    Repeater Supervision...

A GSM based SMS transmitter can be

attached to every single miniRepeater. Andrewsupplies you with a box including a GSM

modem, SMS generator and power supply

unit. This box is connected via a six wire

interface to the miniRepeater. After configuring

the SMS transmitter (or just leaving the default

values) the miniRepeater has only to be intro-

duced to the OMC (via ID number or phone

number of the SIM card in the modem) and it is

    integrated into the supervision network.

Several miniRepeater can be connected to a

three wire party line that represents a wired

OR functionality to the alarms of a group of

miniRepeater. If it is not required to distinguish

between the two alarm types, a single two

    wire connection is sufficient.
