Fabric Leader Installation
Note: This is not the machine quilting frame but
the fabric installation is the same. Thanks! Richard
Clean the poles and lock the gears in with the cogs. You are now ready to install the
double stick carpet tape.
Lay out your leader material on the pole and center it.
Note: I used canvas cut to 103” X 16”(Pillow ticking works well also)
Place a reference mark on the pole at each end of leader.

Fabric Leader Installation
Install a strip of the carpet tape along the top of the pole from one reference mark to
the other
Take your time and get it straight! It is really not hard to do and you can pull it up and reposition if necessary. Cup your hand
and smooth it all down.
Remove the protective backing.

Fabric Leader Installation
Install the leader fabric.
Note:(Make sure you install the leader fabric
wrapping around the pole and coming off in the same direction that the gear teeth
are pointing)
Align the fabric with the edge of the carpet tape.
Here you can see the fabric coming off the pole at the same direction as the gear teeth
are pointing.

Install a layer of duct tape to the pole the length of the fabric. Half should overlap
the fabric and half on the bare pole surface.
Smooth the duct tape out the entire length with a cupped hand and fingers.
