    Healthcare in Developing Nations

The lack of trained physicians is one of the largestissues facing healthcare in the developing world.

    (Sana, http://sana.mit.edu/mission)

A World Health Organization (WHO) report identified 57

'crisis' countries as most affected by this dearth in healthpersonnel, predominantly in Sub-Saharan Africa and

    Asia.

The lack of appropriately trained and motivated healthworkers is one of the major bottlenecks in

    implementing evidence-based health interventions to

improve maternal and child health, and to address HIV/

AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis (Dreesch et al., 2005).

    uploaded and sent to the

    Partners for Care clinician

    in the PFC clinic.

time and a follow up plan

    is created.

    The four triage decisions are:

    1. Go the hospital2. Come to the clinic3. Treat with medication4. Needs community health
