Generally speaking, the offer is addressed to all nature lovers, who can choose between half hour walks and excursions lasting seve-ral days.On this map you can find a selection of 10 exciting itineraries.

Lugano TrekkingTrekking subdivisé en trois jours de marche de façon à vous concéder le temps nécessaire pour profiter au mieux du magnifique panorama, de la beauté et du calme que vous offre la nature luxuriante de la région! Une proposition alléchante en particulier sous l’aspect naturaliste (géologie, flore et faune). A mi-parcours de chaque étape, vous avez la possibilité de vous restau-rer et en fin de journée, de trouver un bon lieu où dor-mir dans un refuge. Une proposition qui est très ap-préciée! Lugano TrekkingThis experience consists in a three-day trek that gives you the necessary time to really take advantage of the extraordinary panorama, beauty and of the peace and quiet that the lush local natural surroundings have to offer! This proposal is especially attractive from the naturalistic viewpoint (geology, flora and fauna). Half way through each leg you’ve got the opportunity to stop for lunch and at the end of each day you can stay overnight in a comfortable mountain hut. This offer has been quite a successful one and represents an excit-ing experience that allows you to hike along a fascinat-ing itinerary that starts at Bré, just overlooking Lugano and ends at Tesserete. La traversée!Monte Tamaro – Monte LemaCette traversée préalpine est une des plus renom-mées et plus belles excursions des Préalpes suisses. Elle se trouve à cheval entre Suisse et Italie. Le pano-rama spectaculaire dont on jouit le long de toute l’ex-cursion s’étend du Tessin au Valais et à l’Italie. Un par-cours sur la crête de la montagne qui présente relativement peu de dénivellation, excepté pour la pre-mière partie du sentier qui mène à la cime du Monte Tamaro. Avant d’arriver au sommet du Monte Tamaro on trouve la cabane accueillante qui porte le même nom. On atteint très facilement l’Alpe Foppa et ses nombreuses attractions, ainsi que le Monte Lema, en télécabine (de mars à novembre). Demandez le pros-pectus.

The Crossing!Mount Tamaro – Mount Lema This pre-alpine crossing is one of the most renowned and astounding excursions in the Swiss Pre-Alps and is located in an area overlooking both Switzerland and Italy. In fact, the breathtaking views, which can be en-joyed during the entire excursion, range from Ticino to the Vallois area and Italy. The excursion winds itself along the mountain crest, thus involving little altitude difference, except for the first part that leads you up to the top of Mount Tamaro. Alpe Foppa, with its many attractions, as also Mount Lema may be easily reached by cableway (from March to November). Be-fore reaching the very top of Mount Tamaro you’ll find the hospitable mountain hut by the same name. Re-quest your brochure.

Le sentier panoramiqueCorticiasca – Monte Bar – RoveredoLe long du trajet, les bois, les pâturages et les alpages s’alternent en altitude; une randonnée à la découverte d’un paysage très varié qui conduit initialement au Monte Bar, le point plus haut de l’excursion, qui offre un magnifique panorama à 360° sur la région. En sui-vant la crête de la montagne on arrive au Motto della Croce, arrêt obligatoire pour admirer le panorama splendide qui s’étend sur la Valle Capriasca. La des-cente continue en direction des Monti di Roveredo, en traversant des pâturages au début et par la suite plu-sieurs hameaux de petites maisons rustiques et ca-ractéristiques. Vous avez la possibilité d’abrégé l’ex-cursion en empruntant la route forestière qui relie la Cabane du Monte Bar au Motto della Croce.

The Scenic TrailCorticiasca – Mount Bar – RoveredoAt a certain altitude along this trail, you’ll pass through a series of woods, meadows and alpine pastures; this long walk leads you to the discovery of a multi-faceted landscape that initially brings you to Mount Bar, the trek’s highest point, offering a 360° view over the entire region. Following the mountain crest, you then reach Motto della Croce, where it’s mandatory to stop and admire a splendid close-up view of the Capriasca Val-ley. The descent then proceeds in the direction of the Roveredo Mountains, where at first you’ll come across pasturelands and later several quaint rustic villages. It’s also possible to shorten the excursion by using the for-est road that connects the Mount Bar Hut to Motto della Croce.

Le charme de la presqu’îleSan Salvatore – Carona – MorcoteUn itinéraire qui permet de traverser du nord au sud cette presqu’île séduisante à la périphérie de Lugano. Cette excursion se déroule en grande partie sur des sentiers de terre battue traversant des forêts d’une grande beauté. Un vrai jardin avec une vue exception-nelle à deux pas de la ville! Après avoir atteint le ma-jestueux Monte San Salvatore en funiculaire (de mars à octobre) d’où l’on jouit d’une vue panoramique à 360°, on continue à pied en direction de Carona, déli-cieux village pittoresque. La promenade se poursuit dans le parc botanique San Grato, qui renferme une grande variété de nombreuses plantes et attractions, pour atteindre l’Alpe Vicania et rejoindre finalement le village lacustre typique et renommé de Morcote. Pour admirer au mieux toute la région, le retour à Lugano en bateau est conseillé (de avril à octobre). Deman-dez le prospectus.

The Charm of the PeninsulaSan Salvatore – Carona – MorcoteThis itinerary permits you to explore from North to South this charming peninsula on the outskirts of Lugano. For the most part, this excursion runs along dirt roads im-mersed in highly diversified wooded areas. It’s a real garden with a breathtaking view at just a stone’s throw from the city! You start by reaching the top of majestic San Salvatore by cable car (from March to October), with its 360° view; you then proceeds towards Carona, with its picturesque hamlet and the San Grato Park with its many attractions and from here you head in the di-rection of Alpe Vicagna to finally reach the characteris-tic village of Morcote. To get an even better idea of this region we suggest you take a boat ride back to Lugano (from April to October). Request your brochure.

La montagne qui domineBrè – Monte Boglia – Monte BrèUne excursion qui commence dans le caractéristi-que village de Brè avec son parcours artistique très intéressant. On se dirige ensuite vers le Monte Bo-glia en parcourant un versant très raide dans la der-nière partie de la montée. Une fois arrivé à destina-tion, on peut admirer la région d’une perspective magnifique avec une vue qui s’étend aussi sur l’Italie voisine. En suivant la crête on descend pour rejoin-dre l’accueillante cabane Alpe Bolla. On continue en direction de Brè en suivant un sentier agréable qui passe à travers les bois. La promenade se termine en remontant vers le sommet du Monte Brè, lieu qui offre une vue incroyable sur la ville et les environs, et la journée se termine avec la descente sur Lugano en funiculaire (de mars à décembre).

Imposing MountainsBrè – Monte Boglia – Monte BrèThe picturesque village of Brè, whose centre is characterised by an interesting artistic itinerary, is the starting point of this excursion. From here you can start walking towards Mount Boglia, where there is a last, steep uphill leg. Once you’ve reached the longed for summit, you’ll be rewarded by a breathtaking view over the surrounding region and also bordering Italy. Following the crest, you de-scend downhill reaching the welcoming Alpe Bolla to then proceed back to Brè, following an easy trail that winds its way through the woods. The excur-sion ends by climbing back up to Mount Brè, where you can enjoy a great close-up view of the city and of its surroundings. You can then end your hike by taking the cable car back down to Lugano (from March to December).

Le sentier au bord du lacCaprino – Cantine di GandriaUn sentier d’excursion de montagne qui longe le bord du lac de Lugano, au pied du Monte Caprino, en contact avec la nature et le charme de la montagne et du lac. Une randonnée à flanc de montagne, à quel-ques pas du lac, avec vue sur la ville et les montagnes majestueuses qui l’environnent et se reflètent dans les eaux du Ceresio. Cette promenade fascinante com-mence et se termine en traversant le lac en bateau (de avril à octobre). Le long du chemin, on peut découvrir des «grotti» très caractéristiques où déguster des mets typiquement tessinois et, vers la fin de l’excur-sion, les Cantine di Gandria et l’intéressant Musée des douanes qui raconte la dure lutte que les gens me-naient dans le passé pour survivre.

The Lakeside TrailCaprino – Cantine di GandriaThis mountain trail running along the Lake of Lugano and the slopes of Mount Caprino is always in close contact with nature and it is thus possible to admire the great charm of both lake and mountain. This walk along the mountainside, at just a few meters from the lake, allows one to really appreciate the view of the city and of its majestic surrounding mountains that reflect themselves in the lake. Taking a boat trip (from April to October) along the lake’s waters to begin and end this excursion will make it even more exciting. Along the way, there are several characteristic «grotti» that allow you to sample several typical Ticinese dishes and in the end, at the Cantine di Gandria you’ll find an inter-esting Customs’ Museum that recounts and docu-ments the tough struggle for survival of the past.

Le sentier des merveillesNovaggio – Mulini di Aranno – NovaggioUn parcours qui nous guide à la découverte de murs de pierres sèches, moulins, marteaux-pilons, ruines de châteaux, fours et mines. Avec ce sentier thémati-que, nous aimerions offrir à chacun la possibilité de s’arrêter un moment pour observer ces simples cho-ses qui ont permis à nos ancêtres de survivre et, com-me ce fut le cas pour les mines, d’espérer en un avenir meilleur. Un moment pour une réflexion et pour appré-cier petit à petit l’ingéniosité de l’homme et la beauté de certains sites naturels. Des témoignages à disposi-tion des personnes qui ne se contentent pas de jeter un regard rapide et une pensée superficielle. Toute l’excursion se déroule dans la forêt. The Trail of MarvelsNovaggio – Mulini di Aranno – NovaggioThis trail leads you to the discovery of dry walls, wind-mills, corn grinding mills, castles, old brickworks and mines, giving everyone the opportunity of stopping for a moment to admire those simple things that in the past contributed to man’s survival and like, in the case of mines, hope for a better future. The entire excursion takes place in the woods. A brochure is available to help you better understand what’s essential and to guide you in appreciating man’s ingeniousness and the beauty of certain natural environments. This infor-mation will be surely much appreciated by people who want more than just a quick glance and who like delv-ing into things.

Le sentier du châtaignierArosio – Fescoggia – ArosioUn sentier thématique qui serpente dans les bois à la découverte de la terre des châtaigniers! Un itinéraire qui met les sens en éveil tout en initiant le visiteur à la châtaigne; la forêt, l’exploitation et le châtaignier. Le parcours nous accompagne à travers un environne-ment et un paysage agréables et harmonieux, où la nature déploie toutes ses splendeurs. La promenade offre de nombreux points de vue panoramique et la possibilité d’admirer l’architecture particulière des villa-ges pittoresques reliés par ce parcours unique. Le tra-jet présente plusieurs points didactiques marqués simplement sur le terrain et bien expliqués dans un prospectus particulier. Il est aussi possible de parcourir le sentier en petites étapes. The Chestnut Tree TrailArosio – Fescoggia – ArosioThis thematic trail winds through the woods and ex-plores the land of chestnut trees! Besides revealing woods, crops, chestnut trees, the trail accompanies us through pleasant surroundings and a harmonious landscape where nature stands out in all its splendour. The itinerary offers us several panoramic spots and the possibility of admiring the architectural details of certain picturesque villages that this very special ex-cursion joins together. Several didactic points, simply marked on the ground and amply illustrated in a sepa-rate brochure, may be found along the way. You can even cover just short legs of this trail.

Le sentier qui unit le TessinIsone – Cima di Medeglia – RiveraÀ la découverte d’un territoire peu connu mais qui mé-rite d’être proposé comme une destination fascinante pour les randonneurs. La nature, la tranquillité et la vue caractérisent cette proposition d’excursion. On rejoint la Cima di Medeglia en parcourant un sentier de terre battue sur la crête de la montagne. Le coup d’oeil en direction du nord va vous surprendre; le panorama s’étend en effet de la région de Locarno à la région de Bellinzona, jusqu’à la chaîne des montagnes. La Cima di Medeglia, avec sa vue à 360° sur toute la région vous invite à méditer à yeux ouverts!

The Trail Joining TicinoIsone – the Medeglia Summit– RiveraSet out to discover a territory, which although not very well known, is worth being considered a fascinating hiking destination. Nature, peace and quiet and great views are the hallmark of this offer. The Medeglia Sum-mit may be reached, for the most part, by following the dirt road on the crest of the mountains; the view to the North is indeed surprising, in fact, encompassing the regions of Locarno and Bellinzona and with the moun-tain chain in the background. The Medeglia Summit, with its 360° view overlooking the entire region will al-low you to meditate with eyes wide open!

En promenade dans les boisMezzovico – Pian Cusello – SigirinoEn suivant cet itinéraire, on est constamment im-mergé dans la nature et, d’un moment à l’autre, on découvre des œuvres de l’homme. Laissez-vous séduire par le charme de la montagne avec sa forêt caractéristique. Les Monti di Mezzovico composés de maisons rustiques et de pâturages, offrent un magnifique panorama vers les montagnes à l’est. L’excursion se poursuit en remontant la fascinante Vallée Cusello. À la fin de la partie raide de l’excur-sion, on quitte le sentier pour redescendre sur la plaine en parcourant une route forestière agréable et en traversant quelques alpages typiques.

Wandering through the WoodsMezzovico – Pian Cusello – SigirinoFollowing this itinerary, you are constantly in contact with nature, although every now and again you may also come across man’s work. The enchantment of the mountain and of its typical woods is truly be-witching here. The Mounts of Mezzovico, with pas-turelands and mountain houses, offer a pleasant view towards the mountains to the East. The itiner-ary continues by climbing up the fascinating Cusello Valley. Once the steepest part of the excursion has been completed, you can abandon the trail to re-descend to the plain, following an easy forest road, running into a couple of typical Alpine pastures along the way.
