• Conducted a series of four SOCOM-hosted wargames on special operations: two focused onstrategy for the war on terrorism and its implications for the composition, size, and regionalorientation of US special operations forces; and two focused on unconventional warfare.

• Played a key role in designing and developing four OSD-sponsored wargames in 2007-2008 onstability operations, partner capacity building, counter-insurgency, and irregular warfare morebroadly.

• Collaborated closely with Michael G. Vickers on a now-classified report for OSD in 2006 thatfocused on capabilities and capacities for defeating Salafi-TakfiriIKhomeinist terrorist groups, aswell as for hedging against the potential rise of China as a military competitor.
