Findings.
There exists a satisfactory relationship between the management andthe employees
The Department provides their employees with various welfarebenefits
The major causes of grievances are concerned with the transfer and
promotion policies
No formal grievance handling machinery. Most of them directlyapproach the Commissioner or the Chief Engineer with their problems
Minor grievances are handled promptly

Set up a formal grievance cell Transfers to be done as per established rules and guidelines
Promotions to be fair and done on the basis of the laiddown rules and guidelines
Introduce schemes to regularize the work charged workers,casual labors and contingency workers.

Conclusion.
Arunachal Pradesh Public Works Department has alwaystried to provide satisfaction to its employees by taking careof their grievances promptly, even in the absence of a formal
grievance cell, by providing them with various welfare
schemes and by trying to open up the communicationchannels which are positive signs towards maintaining a
good labor-management relationship.
