Nós usamos some em frases afirmativas. Nessas frases a palavra some pode ser traduzida por algum, alguns, alguma, algumas, um, uns, uma,umas ou um pouco de.

Any e seus compostos são usados em frases negativas e interrogativas e em frases afirmativas com sentido de qualquer.

Não tenho nenhum dinheiro em minha carteira.

A palavra none também se traduz por nenhum ou nenhuma, porém ela é usada sem o substantivo.
Do you have any book on biology?
Você tem algum livro sobre biologia?
No, I have none.
Não, não tenho nenhum.

Lembre-se que o inglês não admite dupla negativa na oração, coisa muito comum e, às vezes, obrigatória em nosso idioma.

Enquanto dizemos: Não há nenhuma comida na geladeira. Em inglês se diz: There isn’t any food in the fridge. Ou There is no food in the fridge.

Dessa forma, podemos dizer que existe um erro gramatical quando o grupo Pink Floyd diz, em uma de suas canções mais populares, "we don’t need no education".
Existem duas formas de corrigir a frase acima:
We don’t need any education. Ou
We need no education.

Mas não vamos julgar a banda por este erro. A intenção dos compositores era essa mesma. Além disso, os artistas possuem licença poética para se expressar da forma que acharem melhor.
